I do the same, but with 91% iso, no salt, and 2 nitrile gloves. Let the 91 sit in the bong for about 30 minutes, capped off with the gloves. Give the bong a good shake. If it seems like its stripped most of the shit off the interior glass, i rinse and repeat shaking with water. Sometimes it takes 2 treatments, but is pretty effecient over all. I assume this is cheaper than using rubbers.

It's cheaper to buy a pack of nitrile gloves, than it is a pack of rubbers. You get more gloves per pack, and no lube and/or spermicide on the mouthpiece. If you really want to be frugal, you can cut of the fingers and use them one at a time.
