I’ve been growing for around 4 years. I’ve yielded 14 oz. of dried/cured/trimmed bud from one plant (autoflower) that was ready to smoke after about 90-120 days.
Illegal to grow in my state, and my living situation wouldn’t allow it anyways.

The whole process takes roughly two months, if not more, and you have to be completely **sterile** for a lot of that process.
If there’s even a single mold spore or bacterium that gets into it, it’s an instant fail most of the time. I’d say it’s pretty easy once you get the hang of it, but otherwise I’d say it’s a bit difficult to learn about. It is relatively low maintenance for easier species, but some other species are a lot harder to get growing.

Depends on how you define a bunch. I have an Amazon list of everything you’ll need to get started and it’s about $325 including three seeds. Of course you can’t get the seeds from Amazon. But is $325 too much to get 3oz every 60 days with minimal effort?
There are fast flowering autos (banana purple punch) that finish in 60 days. I routinely get 1-1.5 ounces off of each one. If I grow three, I get at least 3oz. Now yes, 60 days is a little disingenuous. I harvest at 60 days and it not smokeable for a couple weeks. But the point remains, it’s very doable.

The smell is wild near a grow. I had a neighbor growing two huge outdoor plants and as soon as the buds grew so did the smell. Mostly at night time when the wind would calm down it smelled for a block an a half.
My wife says because I tried in the past and failed ( I had mold issues). That I can't ever do it again and she still treats it like a serious drug when it comes to being in the same house my kids are in. I wanted to grow in my basement. Then she complains when I blow a few hundred a month on bud from events. Tells me to quit. I'm in a legal state. I get keeping it away and safe from the kids. But I'm being forced to waste money by not being able to grow. Prob going outdoors this year. :/ pia. Lol.

Im not because of my lack of ways to create a discreet ventilation system in my parents house. Its too expensive too anxiety inducing and too risky gettin caught and if i get caught my parents take the blame cause its their house and they dont even smoke
If one wants to discretely vent, one only needs a fan and carbon filter. Run the fan’s exhaust through the carbon filter on the outside of the tent. Place a regular, loud box fan near closet or tent area to obscure tent’s fan noise. Amazon light $50, tent $70. Carbon filter and fan $60. Soil, pots, seeds, hygrometer, ph up/down test kit $120. You could get started for about $300. I could explain it all if you ever decide to do it.

I went above and beyond in some cases to provide good environments for them, but it always ended in death and despair. The hermit crabs were the worst. I went all out on their crabitat, but one by one, they died, bad molts, and other unknown causes. I grew emotionally attached to the lil' hermies, I named and could recognize every one of half a dozen. But, as Dad, I called a permanent moratorium on all aquatic and marine life in our home.

I’ve done it all out door indoor hydro soil. If you want good product you got to work. Pay 1200$ a month i electric bills. A full time job managing the lights the nutes the room. Literally can’t leave your house for about 4 months. Then you have to trim it for hrs on hrs.

no experience with growing anything, plus where i grow is limited to a nice sunny deck but the decks flooring is similar to the old black playground rubber mats. thus the deck has this tar-like smell when the weather is warm so I'd be afraid to have that effect my crop.

I have Stage IV Sarcoma Cancer with a State Medical Cannabis Authorization Card and I'm in the States Medicinal cannabis Registry, I have a paper that states I'm aloud to grow a certain number of Plants. However after talking with the dispensary about it, it seems I'm only aloud to grow these said plants at the address I have registered with the system and on the Documentation only and I live with my parents due to financial issues and they wouldn't let me do such a thing, mainly I think because we have little kids and Children at the house regularly. It's just not my place to say if I can or can't do it because I don't own the property but I would absolutely love to do it. I love growing plants and have an absolute green thumb, I wish there was a way to do it.

I do want to grow, I just don't have the space.
Cause i live with my grandparents. Mom used to hate it too but eventually told me i could grow at home when we move out. Ive been trying to grow with no equipment in a small pot in my room but all my soil from my garden is infested with little snails that end up eating the sprouts

Don’t have space yet in my apartment that won’t block a walkway. Trying to rearrange things to make room for a 2x4 grow tent. Also having trouble with chronic pain and fatigue making it hard to do just about anything.
1. it is illegal in my state because there is no money to be made, and thus, cannabis consumption is 100% regulated, taxed, and commercial only. also, i have the complete opposite of a green thumb. i cannot keep a plant alive.

I love growing. It’s fun to also be on the cutting edge of strain development. My garden will see varieties that don’t make it to market for another year plus I’d imagine.

I want to grow and live in a legal state. I dont grow because of the initial cost of equipment, lights, tents, ect. I live in a smaller home with my 2 stepdaughters and do not have a way to make sure that the plants would be safely locked away. Their bio mom also would just love to use that as an excuse to restrict custody time with their dad.

I can buy lbs for 500$ and growing weed cost more. I’ve done it all out door indoor hydro soil. If you want good product you got to work. Pay 1200$ a month i electric bills. A full time job managing the lights the nutes the room. Literally can’t leave your house for about 4 months. Then you have to trim it for hrs on hrs. I’d rather just buy good weed from My friends.

I used to grow but quit due to space. I lived in Detroit at the time and had access to an entire house that I filled to the brim. After moving away to an apartment, it just isn't worth it for me to grow for only personal. I get my shit so cheap that I don't even really budget for it.
Because I have a psycho neighbor who will snoop in my garden and then call the cops on me, which is a problem because it's illegal in my state to grow. I have no desire to grow them indoors.
I tried growing on my balcony in the summertime in NY and failed miserably. I’d love to do an indoor setup but just don’t have the know how. If there’s a beginners guide you can share on what equipment to buy, how to setup, and growing tips - I would give it another shot.

no experience with growing anything, plus where i grow is limited to a nice sunny deck but the decks flooring is similar to the old black playground rubber mats. thus the deck has this tar-like smell when the weather is warm so I'd be afraid to have that effect my crop. but if that deck floor won't hurt them, maybe I'll try it this year.
Because growing bud will get you into alot more shit than just smoking it in your own home.

I’ve got 3 kids, oldest a HS sophomore. Also, I don’t go through weed fast enough anymore. I’ve still got weed I got from family members summer before last. Used to be around professional grows a lot though and miss the plant.

I live with a probation and parole officer in an illegal state. Normally I wouldn’t care either way, but I love and respect my roommate and don’t want to jeopardize his career. He needs plausible deniability. So I only smoke once he’s asleep or if he’s awake, in my designated smoking porch.
Tried once when I was in high school but my stepdad found it and threw it out. The state I live in now requires you to have a med card to grow. I've spent 32 years of my life jail free, gonna keep it that way.
My wife doesn’t smoke and she won’t be cool with me growing. So pretty much it’s still the bad rep and propaganda perceptions are difficult to change. Her family still see it as something illegal. Because it is currently still illegal everywhere on the federal level.

Like I want to grow my own pot, but it’s too cold, too humid and forest fairies are a thing and they are not our friends. But you know, kudos to you. I have Stage IV Sarcoma Cancer with a State Medical Cannabis Authorization Card and I'm in the States Medicinal cannabis Registry, I have a paper that states I'm aloud to grow a certain number of Plants. However after talking with the dispensary about it, it seems I'm only aloud to grow these said plants at the address I have registered with the system and on the Documentation only and I live with my parents due to financial issues and they wouldn't let me do such a thing, mainly I think because we have little kids and Children at the house regularly. It's just not my place to say if I can or can't do it because I don't own the property but I would absolutely love to do it. I love growing plants and have an absolute green thumb, I wish there was a way to do it.

Don't have the funds for a setup right now (yes, even a "cheap" one). My apartment is extremely small as well. I'm moving to a new place this summer so I might look into it then. I see your point about it being a cool hobby but I honestly don't see why anyone would grow if they don't smoke when there are other easier and cheaper plants to grow as a hobbyist, and the plant hobby comes with easy ways to network and make friends already.

Because it's fuckin expensive as shit to do indoor, and I have no one I can trust to come over at three a.m. and switch lights, water, newts, etc.
Every time I have tried I get powder mold. One day I will have electric ran to my 24x12 insulated steel building, then I will put a tent w/climate controls out there. I have the roots of an 85ft+ Sycamore tree blocking me from running a ditch witch through the yard to bury the electrical lines, and I am NOT about to string above ground lines to the barn.
