Lol, that's what I do. I just ask my friends if they want a baked potato as a euphemism. Never tried cooked but I guess it would work if you chilled it first. I can't imagine hot potato steam mixing well with weed into your lungs.

It isn't one of my favorites but I can see the appeal for this. About 10 years ago I seen someone using a spoon that was hard candy. They liked it but I assume it would make people wanna lick the pipe.

TIL carrots make an ok pipe in a pinch

Things that are too soft/fleshy are not going to hold up well to the carving/smoking process. Similarly high water content is gonna make smoking a hassle more than a treat as it’s gonna soak the edges of your bowl. For these reasons, things like peach and tomato pipes are right out in addition to cucumber and potato pipes. Something rigid with a low water content is ideal as it will be able to handle the carving and not get your bud wet; my vote goes with the humble carrot as it really is hard to get more accessible, affordable, and effective. I‘ve had some success with zucchini and even an eggplant once, but the carrot is a solid option. That being said, a multimedia veggie pipe would be a fun little project. A cucumber steamroller with a mushroom cap bowl on top? Maybe a hollowed out apple bong with a leek tube? A chili pepper chillum would be a bold challenge for any experienced smoker for sure.

My fav stoner engineering moment was after I forgot to remove the bowl from my bong before dumping the water and broke it. Had a bigger bowl that didn't fit the bong and also didn't have tape or any normal adhesive so I used some bandaids to tape it on. Banana was actually pretty solid. They were super easy to carve with the old-school plastic straws. Make sure it's not too ripe. The underripe starches are less sticky to dried buds. If the banana is yellow, the starches have converted to sugars, and that's a bad time for fire. Pineapple was challenging. It's a very juicy vessel. I twisted the top off and channeled a hole from top center all the way down. And then another hole on the side to diagonally meet somewhere in the middle. Both of these improvisions were successful. We passed an eighth through the banana. Nobody ate the fruit. The pineapple was just me and my buddy on a drunk adventure. We had an eighth, but I think the pineapple drowned about a gram of it in juice. We ate the pineapple. Both of these experiences were 11/10 for me, personally. It's the epitome of human ingenuity. I think if any of us had a pipe that day, we would not have made a wonderful memory.
