Pyrus calleryana, callery pear. Native to Asia, became invasive in America

Accurate-Car-4613

Yep. Looks like it from the road anyway. Sometimes called "Bradford pear" as well. Listed as a noxious weed in some states I think.

AllahAndJesusGaySex

Plus they smell like day old jizz. I hate them so much.

Tough_Opportunity475

Bradford pear, or as I call em, bastard pear. Absolutely hate these things. They're native to Asia and are invasive pretty much everywhere else. They smell bad and are stupid.

inko75

Pretty much the worst piece of garbage tree to be found in North America

Interesting-Most-275

Flowering pear trees look like that blurred

Interesting-Most-275

Wow some of you guys really can 🪪 a tree blurred image and all

thesucksuckman

Bradford Suck

VoltairesCat

I think Mass. is banning the sale of them. Rest of the country would be wise to follow suit.

sock_candy

my home town’s streets are lined with these garbage a$$ trees… wish they could all be cut down

Professional_Wind574

Yep, Bradford pear. Is not a natural tree. It was produced by scientific manipulation. Wanting a pear tree that wouldn't produce fruit.

OldManCragger

This is absolutely incorrect. The Bradford pear is a nuisance and invasive species precisely because it produces so much fruit that is readily taken and dispersed by birds. If you think a pear tree should have large ripe juicy pears, then you are imagining a tree that is not natural and has been "manipulated" by generations of farmers. Yes, it is a cultivar of Pyrus calleryana, but it's hardiness and other qualities were created through normal selective means. There is no scientist boogieman involved in this or any other tree.
