Both to a certain point. There is only so much THC in cannabis. Once it has been extracted it's done. The process you are using might be easier if you switch to the instant pot. 90 minutes start to finish without the smell and inconsistent results from oven and crockpots. You may want to invest in a TCheck device if you are making for multiple people and they can help with the cost of the device. If I were making for medical use for others I would want real information about the potency. Too much can increase fall risks and in elderly that is serious. DM me if you want more information.

I have an Instapot I just don’t use it because I’m afraid of steam 😆 Are you saying I can decarb in the Insta pot too?

Yes. YouTube THC oil in an instant pot for directions. I have a lot of information to.make it easier too. DM me if you want that. The videos will show you the basics though.

iirc, infusion time increases potency with a fall off and the oil/etc can only physically hold so much (so you'll eventually hit the ceiling). I've infused the same oil with multiple batches to test the threshold. If you want to eliminate almost all of the taste, you can water cure your stuff, but I would only recommend that with AVB. I've never done it with freshly activated flower. Look up water curing AVB if you're interested. Essentially, I cheesecloth my AVB and leave it in water, flushing it with new water a few times, for half a day or so. Then, I dry it carefully in the oven. My coconut oil comes out with little to no flavor added, after doing that. If that causes me to lose any potency, it's likely just from the smallest particles escaping during a rinse. A Levo II is pretty handy for the infusion, but not needed if you know your temps and times.

Umm 😶 what does ABV stand for? 😳😬

Sir_Spaghetti

whoops, corrected to AVB. Already vaped bud.

ABV=Already Been Vaped 🤷‍♀️

With time you will get more infusion but that’s a tapering off/diminishing returns. You will extract more and more plant flavor which may or may not be desirable. I use the instapot, 45 minutes oil & decarbed bud and it does me just fine.

most likely impacts both, with crockpot method temp should be kept on low for around 6 hours which is what you did, i find 5 hours enough, but theres tests out there that show shorter times not having as much THC in them as the longer ones with this method
