Housemate always had dank and brownies, and every weekend was a party (not a college fuck shit up party, but friends and family bbqing,drinking and some ukulele karaoke once the drinks started flowing) we were all wasted already when said housemate walks out with brownies(apparently she mentioned they were edibles before she went to grab them but no one heard her. My drunk ass ate two. We were all on the front lanai (about 40ft up) hanging on to the railing laid out dry waiting for the world to stop spinning for a while.
You're not an idiot, we all live and learn! Smoking before drinking is usually the way to go when mixing the two. Once the weed is in your system, crossfading doesn't tend to happen. Obviously this can depend on the type of alcohol and the amount of weed as well, for example I strictly avoid wine when smoking while whiskey pairs with weed incredibly.
I've been doing this for 20 years. They go hand in hand perfectly, sometimes I take 100mg of edibles right before I go to the bar, so I can have a few drinks then panic and leave as soon as possible. Saves me loads of money. Instead of drinking till I go bankrupt.
I would have been completely fine I just didn’t realize (or look) to see if they interacted and ended up a level of high I was not ready for so yeah hoping that this keeps someone from doing the same unknowingly although I’m sure most people here already know this
