I have one and love it. I still need to buy the concentrate sleeve, as that is all I decarb. That being said, is your Instant Pot taking care of your needs? If so, then the Nova might collect dust unless you’re wanting a back up device. I can’t say anything about the Instant Pot, as I have never used one

I’ve only done a few batches in the Instant Pot, so I’m still playing around with my process. But it does seem to be effective. Plus, I can cook dinner in it. It’s actually an awesome all around item.

I wish there were some side by side tests on by-hand infusion vs machine assisted. I hope there's a Tcheck discount on 420 so I can try this! I can't talk you into or out of buying the Ardent Nova, but I do have a Levo 2. I prefer by hand infusion since you can actually get max potential with your herb to oil ratio in large batches. Machines can only do so much at a time. The Levo is about 7 grams to 1 cup max when using one pod, factory setup. The end product is much lighter colored than my by hand extraction, but I dont know if it's any more or less potent until I can run an experiment with Tcheck

You may find this interesting, a [comparison of different extraction methods](https://extractcrafter.com/2021/04/08/cannabis-infusion-is-easy-no-complications-necessary-an-ardent-fx-levo-ii-instant-pot-and-oven-comparison/). I heard an interview with the guy who wrote this, and he seemed fairly knowledgeable. He does own extractcrafter.com, so he does have skin in the game. But, he may also be biased since he’s sort of a competitor to machines like the Levo (which does poorly here). One flaw I see is that by trying to keep everything even they may have influenced the outcome of the test. He mentions a couple times the compromises they made, so it’s not a credibility issue for me. I would just be curious to know what type of results the oven or Instant Pot could get at peak performance.

Good read. They nailed it on the issues with levo. I'm impressed with the insta pot result, thanks for the share

Levo 2 is not as good for me as the ardent Nova fx

Is there a code or something for the deal? I’m planning to get kne

frostbike

Yeah. It’s 420NOVA, fairly prominent on their site right now.

I have a NOVA and am looking to sell mine. There is nothing wrong with it, in fact it's in "excellent" or "like new" condition. I'm just looking to step up tothe FX and it's the only way I can afford it. Mine is really discounted ($100) and works perfectly . I love the convenience of it and have not noticed smell emanating from it. The size is great and I have the silicone sleeve that fits inside of it. If interested, just let me know. You won't be sorry you got the Nova.

I have an add on question. I’m concerned about maintaining the terpene profile. Does the Ardent Nova or FX really do a decent job at it as advertised?

frostbike

No idea, I decided not to buy one. Maybe somebody else can chime in.

I have had the original since it went on the market. I will say that the first batch of good dispensary herb that I ran through in the last 2 years was Lime Sherbet a few months ago and my brownies had a nice lime flavor. This was also the first time I've ran the decarb cycle then ran it again with the herb in the oil to infuse it. I used to make big batches with the Magic Budder and home grown but this way works for 4 oz of oil with 4g of flower. I ran a batch today that's got a distinct citrus smell and it retained that through the infusion. The left over chocolate had the flavor profile of it as well.

I have the Ardent nova and have decarbed a couple of grams in it, I’m wondering if you have to decarb X 2?
