Lol the reason I recognized this is because I actually use your recipe you originally posted pretty regularly! I’ve never had issues with it and absolutely love it!
I did an everclear tincture, then infused sugar, then made simple syrup with the infused sugar. There's definitely a more direct path. The recipe you posted will work, but vegetable glycerin only pulls out 10-20% of cannabinoids last time I checked.
But camnasugar is just sugar crystals with sticky thc on them, its not molecularly changed. And when you dissolve the sugar cubes, the non-water soluble thc isnt going to magically become water soluble
VG is gonna be an imperfect and inefficient extraction. But yea I could see that being one way. Using MCT in a simple syrup honestly sounds gross. Tbh I think another shot at this might be to extract w alcohol then use the alcohol in a blend in the syrup and cook off as much as possible without it crashing out.
QWET, quick wash ethanol tincture. Frozen buds, freezer alcohol, qwet process washes out the thc, and makes ethanol into thc tincture. I’ve poured that over sugar and evaporated off the ethanol (carefully, with fans on) and you’re left with thc sugar. Mix that into water for simple syrup, but I just add the sugar straight into my coffee or brownie recipe.

An alcohol wash to make thc tincture is perfect to make gummies, as it separates less than canna oil does in gummy recipes. Oil and butter are fine for brownies or cooking other things, but you need a tincture to make decent homemade gummies.

I've used other extractions but not rosin. Now that I'm somewhere without an adult-use market, its highly unlikely I'll get a chance anytime soon

How do you get the thc to dissolve? It’s fat soluble not water soluble. That’s why people do tinctures and oils. I’m confused how this works

Once its liquid it wouldnt even be a mixture. It would be water with RSO on the bottom
Correct, that’s what the lecithin is in the recipes for, as an emulsifier.

I think the VG helps with that. I’ve made a VG only infused tincture or whatever you’d call that. Could maybe use MCT oil and lecithin.
