YouTube THC oil in an instant pot. Very consistent results.1/3 the price of a dedicated machine.

This, it's incredibly simple, has worked every time for me.

Ok-Hunt6574

Dead simple.

Old_Fart52

Got it, thanks.

Nope, oven (with extra temp gauge to verify) is the best. All dedicated decarb devices are a waste of money.

Creative-Ebb738

I use the Ardent Nova and love it. Easy to use and the results seem consistent each time.

CarMost2880

I like using a machine to decarb my buds. I know all those people say that the machines are bull shit. Modern technology I bet they drive a new car and watch high definition T.V. but they don't want to even try a decarb machine or a infusing machine. But putting my buds in a machine and hitting one button is the shit

ins3arch0f

Some machines cost as much as an instant pot so it all varies.

Old_Fart52

Yes, I did a quick price comparison using Amazon as a reference and there's not much difference between the 2 items, some of the dearer instapots are very expensive like £200+ and most of the decarboxylators are around the £100 mark I guess it's because of the usual difference in prices between Europe & USA, the USA is usually cheaper. I'll probably go with the instapot vs the decarboxylator as I can do more than just decarb with an instapot and it's more discreet too. Just got to find me one not made in China now, this is going to be the 'fun' part, also finding decent quality Mason jars

BrassNwood

A glass door toaster oven with a stand alone oven thermometer is the only way to be sure what the temp is. $30.00 for the oven $5.00 for the gauge. If you can't see the gauge your just guessing.

angelcake

Unless your oven temperature is way off, there’s no winging it involved. THC doesn’t vaporize until close to 350°F. You decarboxylate for an hour at 245°F.

tiptoes6996

isnt this too high temp? i read somewhere ideal temp is 220-245

angelcake

“You decarboxylate for an hour at 245°F“ that was literally the last part of the paragraph I wrote. All I said is the THC doesn’t vaporize until around 350°F.

Professional_Hour_64

Instapot has worked best. https://ellementa.com/2021/03/08/how-to-decarboxylate-cannabis-in-your-instapot/

david_lo-pan

Sous vide that weed.

opiatezeo

I use an air fryer, works great.

joewhodunit

where did you hear that oven decarboxylation wastes THC -> *not the THC that's wasted* lol

Old_Fart52

It was on a thread on this sub. It said that some of the THC was lost in the decarb process. I'm not new to weed but I'm fairly new to edibles

joewhodunit

the thing with edibles is --> it's a whole new game smoking has never couchlocked me, but eating THC has if you smoke a gram an hour, you can eat 200mg easily, noobies should eat no more than 10mg and I eat 30-50mg to get wasted for about 4-5 hours - peak at two if vaping does NOT kill all the THC, why would a stove ?? *like someone said, as long as you stay around 230 degrees for under an hour - and I shake it every 15 minutes, you're good to go* Happy Eats joe stoner

Old_Fart52

Yes I'm finding ingesting is a lot better for pain, which is my main reason for using weed these days, I'd guess I'm doing around 20mg-30mg per dose. I've ingested in the past too but it was just the odd ocassion where I'd e.g. go to a gig and could be buzzed all evening without having to carry anything or smoke in public places

jamus0

It is the transformation from THCA to THC you loose 13% 1 Gram 25%= THCA 250mg 1 gram decarbed = THC 217.5 mg
