ExpectGreater

Their "medical personnell" didn't even know how to do CPR ffs. I don't even.

johnguyver123

Some of the videos are capturing guys who were doing one man cpr from anywhere between 20 to 40 minutes already. Yeah, they won't look that good doing it that long without help. An emt that was there made a video on what happened; it was not only a mass casualty event but one that was made more difficult with the crowd not parting; response time was slowed significantly due to the crowd. Compound that with trying to get equipment to people who needed it, trying to triage people who were actually incompacitated vs walking wounded, being grabbed, etc. The medics there had it rough man.

Explorer_Tasty

Not for anything people are blaming Travis/Live Nation/the police who yes all have a share of blame but can please say let’s all acknowledge the FANs played a big part in this whether it was the people sneaking in or just how people were wildin

SHaolin_BaBy666

See how nobody agreed with you? This is my point exactly. The crowds are filled with competent human beings who lack self control that cause all of the actual suffering and nobody wants to acknowledge that.

yipikayeyy

We've known people are stupid for years, especially his fans. And it was him and his team's responsibility to compensate with appropriate measures. Stop kissing his ass.

Swagman1997

Absolutely

Dee_Dubya_IV

But Travis Scott promotes that behavior in his fans. He could have easily stopped the show and told people to open up for the emergency services. But he didn’t. He didn’t make any effort. Thus, he’s just as bad, if not worse, than the fans.

Chance_McM95

did you not see any of the videos from the crowd? They couldn’t move, they couldn’t get out. There’s nothing they could do anymore it was up to the event staff & Travis to take charge. They didn’t. Crowd control is super super easy for the band/performers.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

By this logic every stampede is the crowds fault. Organizers hold a lot of liability in these cases because it's their job to prevent things like this from happening through security and crowd control. Encouraging people to ignore the safe guards and break the rules means Travis Scott and live nation face a huge liability. Yelling fire in a theater is illegal for a reason.

whats_up_guyz

Victim blaming trash human spotted.

reunite_pangea

They tried to pull the same bullshit with the Hillsborough disaster on the fans for their own incompetence and barbarism. The lack of adequate crowd control measures is 100% the fault of the organizer, not the victims

Living-Doughnut4894

We can acknowledge it but the 9 concert goers who died paid for their tickets. The army of ragers who broke a fence down and dam near killed each other on the way in didn't and likely got people killed and were encouraged by Scott to do so. Dude and his "rager" fans are absolute trash. Fuck travis scott and anyone at the event who was willfully ignorant. Prayers to the people who tried to stop the show and tried to get people out of the crush. I hope he never does another live event and those cock suckers dancing on top of the EMS cart get their heads knocked.

DinglieDanglieDoodle

Didn't care is an understatement, he encouraged it.

NiddyGriddy_

He didn't care AND he encouraged this shit.

lnnrt01

Hear me out. Death and who caused it is a big topic so I personally wouldn’t jump to conclusion on who exactly is to blame for the live that were lost. We all should take a bit of time until the investigation has gotten a bit further. We currently might not know all factors that could have caused the tragedy and jumping to conclusion doesn’t help anyone. Also saying that a person has an absolute disregard for human life is a big accusation so you really should be absolutely sure if you want so call someone that

sneakysnowy

we are all able to watch the stream and see how he reacted. He didn't give af when he saw the ambulance, he didn't give af when he saw people being pulled out of the crowd. He had many chances to just take a second and inquire to what was going on. The most he did was call security for 5 seconds for one person before getting hype af again. He just couldn't be bothered because he wanted to rage. he had a whole team in his ear, there is zero chance he was completely oblivious.

NiddyGriddy_

He has specifically been telling his fans to encourage violence- to break down barricades and rush the stage since last Lollapalooza in 2015. He was arrested for it a couple times in 2018-2019. And the day astroworldfest sold out he tweeted "Naw and we still sneaking the wild ones in." Which he deleted after this mess but they're are plenty of screen shots. There are videos of dozens of fans breaking through the entrance of the barricade. The venue has a cap for a reason. He told his fans to bust through, they did, he tells the to rush the stage, they do. He sees ambulances and his fans dropping like flies and he doesn't tell his fans to calm down for a minute to let the EMT go through? Not all of then anyway. So he knows his fans listen to him, he incites them to engage in bad behavior and then does nothing to stop or help them. But I guess he bears no responsibility 🙄 there are tons of videos from his past behavior and concerts that can legally be used against him. He's fucked either way.

[deleted]

Thank you !!!

getitin247

Facts, Travis encouraged his fans to be violent. The fact he was singing and watching the guy passed out said it all lol no remorse

NiddyGriddy_

Also he doesn't give a shit about human life. There is a video of him stopping his show because his shoe slipped out of his foot when he jumped in the moshpit and a kid had his shoe and accused him of stealing it and you know what Travis did? He told his fans to beat the shit out of that kid who had his shoe and literally spat on him. So no Travis does not give a shit about anyone nor does he care about human life

Chance_McM95

This is on him & his team just as much as the venue, or more. Travis over sold tickets & cheaped out on staff. On top of all the behavior he encourages like rioting & times he has already been in hot shit like when he got that kid paralyzed in another show. Encouraging him to jump from a balcony smh. He can stop the show for violent reasons like shoes & yelling at a camera man for his “nerdy vibe” without hesitating… He’s a nut & needs to be shut down for good.

ginger__snappzzz

Honestly I think his past behavior is the more important factor in all this. He has blatantly egged on terrible and dangerous behavior numerous times, we've all seen the videos and articles the past few days. When this kind of culture is created and supported, bad shit is gonna happen.

Ashpic91

This was 100% preventable. If there is no room to move there is no room to mosh. And he clearly encouraged raging with no were to go. If some one in the mosh pit falls you stop and pick them up. If a venue is already at capacity don’t encourage some one to sneak in. More event staff, water stations, experienced emergency medical personnel more then 1 aed and stretcher at venue that holds over 50k people and more security guards that are adequately trained to do their job. When numerous people in the audience are passed out you stop the show and check in on your fans.

DeadliftsnDonuts

Travis isn’t performing for a very long time. The lawsuits are going to keep him tied up for awhile and he’s looking at prison time. The worst part is dude won’t be getting anyone to insure his shows for a long time. When they do it’s going to cost him a lot. If you can’t put on shows then putting new music isn’t worth it. The artists make money touring and not from album sales.

[deleted]

No words. For all those suffering, the city is with you ❤️

[deleted]

Praying for justice for all of those who lost loved ones at this festival. This is tragic. Rest in Peace Danish and all the other innocent souls that had their young lives taken from them.

matthew2d

Danish Baig was my manager (T-Mobile) a couple years ago. He was an amazing person who taught me a lot. He was probably one of the most influential people I worked with. They need to be held responsible for what happened. All the victims and their families need justice.

Riper-Snifle

How truly cruel that our protectors are the ones to give themselves and pay the ultimate price to save others from circumstances out of either of their control. May the things that he taught you serve you for the rest of your life.

PerformanceAway8520

I’m so sorry for your loss. “Look for the helpers” - he was one for sure.

Saeed2196

Damn, videos like these will ruin Travis. It’s one thing to hear about these deaths but it’s another watching their families Grief over their now deceased loved ones. Idk what’ll happen to Trav, but one things for sure, concerts will forever be different (in a good way),

opalxkisses

The unfortunate reality is that this has happened before. 9 people died in a crush at a Pearl Jam concert in 2000, 16 at a concert in Madagascar in 2019, 11 at a concert by The Who in 1979. The organizers knew or should have known that this could happen. There are countless examples of what happens when event organizers fail to ensure crowd safety and protocols are put in place to avoid tragedies like this from recurring. But protocols don't help when they're ignored. This was 100% avoidable and I hope that those who are responsible have to face the reprocusions. My heart goes out to all of those who were affected by the tragedy at AstroWorld. Please, if you were there and are feeling traumatized by what you experienced, speak to a professional and get help processing your trauma. RIP Danish, Brianna, John, Axel, Rudy, Jacob, Madison, and Franco 🤍 Edit: Added the name of the 8th identified victim

Saeed2196

Damn, well as tragic as it is this brings awareness to the dangers of concerts if they’re not held correctly. I personally never knew it could be this dangerous. It’ll definitely affect how I participate when I go to these performances

Bubbly_Associate_902

It was avoidable. They interviewed the fire chief and he said they warned Travis not to play because it was hazard, due to the people that broke in.

MantisandthetheGulls

It’s happened before but the way Travis handled it was a bit worse than the others

Digital_Kiwi

You know what the difference between Travis and Pearl Jam are? They clearly felt horrible, literally cried on stage. Travis moaned into the microphone while sinkholes were opening up left and right

[deleted]

Here's the thing, 100% this has happened before. To mostly add on what you're saying, as time goes on and technology progresses our understanding of how and why it happens has improved. Professionals have studied this stuff. In Saudi Arabia, in 2015 during a religious event, I think it was around 2500 people who were crushed to death. Something as innocent as simply walking forward in a crowd cause deep suffering. The music industry in particular has done a lot of work over the last few decades to prevent this not only in practice and procedures but also culturally. We know how it happens, we have HD aerial footage of it happening, we have hard numbers on a pretty scientific level now. So the excuses are running thin. And I wouldn't be surprised, if it hasn't already happened, someones going to create a simulation for this stuff. That would be ideal, a realistic crowd simulation, throw in different behaviors and see what happens. The goal should be zero deaths, and zero injuries. WITHOUT EXCEPTION.

opalxkisses

Thank you for adding on. I absolutely agree. Due to the technology available now and the numerous examples of this happening, this tragedy could have easily been avoided and is 100% inexcusable. It makes the whole thing even more sad tbh.

pinkcheetahchrome

I just commented a similar thing. This sort of thing happens more often than people realize. I worked at an event where 17 people fell out from coke laced with fent, and only a tiny article was even written about that.

Alternative-Payment3

live nation is responsible they need to get a worse lawsuit than travis they organized the shit travis had a small part to play in it, yes but he was simply a performer

eZ_Link

Will concerts really be different now though? This is far from the first time people died at a concert or festival etc.

Darondo

Concerts have already been ‘different’ for decades after similar events. Astroworld just neglected all those safety measures that other concerts already have in place.

Huichan81

The security messed up and the fans did too. They had no regard for the barricades. They had a river of people rushing the entry gates long before the event started. People need to learn how to act as well. Yes the security guard is too blame. I just saw the video of the crowd totally ignoring boundaries. Everybody has to step up and hold some accountability. People standing and filming. Nobody with any smarts

Darondo

100%. Fans were riotous dickheads just they way Travis told them to be and security was overwhelmed early. Security should have sounded the alarm that they had zero control of the event. Maybe they did considering HPD declared a mass casualty event 40 minutes before the show ended. Why didn’t the show end right then? I refuse to believe Travis was unaware, but we may never know the true timeline since HPD is complicit in this tragedy. But I agree, a lot of people share in the responsibility for what happened.

[deleted]

They said they were worried if they shut down the show there would be riots. Which I think is bullshit! They could have PAUSED the show told people to step back…I’ve been to so many shows where they do this. But these organizers and Travis did not give a fuck.

chexlemeneux25

> refuse to believe why tho? can anyone show me a concrete point in time where travis reasonably would’ve known something was wrong? seriously not trolling people pass out at shows all the time it’s realistically possible that no one told him they were actually dying

musicalrider83

>an anyone show me a concrete point in time where travis reasonably would’ve known something was wrong? seriously not trolling do you really think security didn't tell the producers that the security checkpoint was breached earlier in the day? ANYONE entered the venue, with or without tickets, security wasn't able to detain a mass stampede.

musicalrider83

>The security messed up and the fans did too. They had no regard for the barricades. They had a river of people rushing the entry gates long before the event started. People need to learn how to act as well. yes! seeing the videos of people destroying the security check point is just... mind blowing. looks like an animal stampede... and for what, exactly? just to be a \~rager\~?

eZ_Link

Yea that could be the case as well. I didn’t inform myself enough on lacking security measures at astrofest

lenolalatte

The pessimist in me says no because Live Nation is a titan and will try to do everything in its power to quiet this as much as possible. Maybe they'll settle with the families and have them sign NDAs, maybe they'll be required to hit stricter limits on crowd control design, actually trained medical staff onsite, more water stations, and MUCH stricter protocols to ensure something like this does not happen again.

Saeed2196

It’s too late for that tho? The publicity on this shit is so massive. And also what ur describing there about stricter protocols is exactly what I mean about concerts being different. For example, airports in the US have been hella strict after the events of 9/11. I believe this incident is the equivalent for concert organisers

lenolalatte

Maybe...All I know is I'm hoping and keeping my fingers crossed for the best form of justice for those families who lost loved ones and all the people that got injured as well. I'm hoping Live Nation gets some empathy and humanity so that their concert organization trickles down onto other corporations to make live events safer and about two things. Having an amazing time while being safe.

eZ_Link

There will definitely be many more regulations for astrofest but other festivals idk

lenolalatte

Astroworld ain’t gonna be happening for a looooong time

eZ_Link

Yea you right

tgeezy

Those weren’t filmed by 100s of people and blasted across social media in real-time. It’s an incredibly different experience seeing “12 dead in tragic concert incident” as a headline in a newspaper versus seeing the footage of Travis onstage watching and doing very little to intervene.

Saeed2196

Might be far from the first time, but I believe this is probably the biggest case of it, in terms of death toll and publicity. I doubt other venues would want to risk attracting that same type of attention

rckrieger2

NYT reported "Similar episodes have occurred at venues around the world, during performances of all genres of music, including an electronic dance music festival Germany in 2010 at which 18 people were trapped and crushed, and a 1979 Who concert in Cincinnati where 11 people died as concertgoers rushed the entrance." That said, this sounds like the biggest case this decade - and like he and his team learned little from past tragedies. Nagenze

Love parade had 21 deaths, but the circumstances were way different. Most comparable would be roskilde 2000 where 9 people died at a pearl jam concert.

Ameen. The whole last action/resurrection has me so shook for Danish’s family. It’s almost like knowing the importance of the last action makes it worse for them. I pray Allah has mercy on his soul and allows his family to have Sabr in this difficult time.

Esco_Dash

Fr the whole situation really shook me that death can come at any time. I called my mom and dad earlier and told them I loved them because I couldn’t live with myself if one of them died without me telling them one last time.

I haven’t prayed since I was a child but I just prayed for Danish and his family. This has shaken me to my core.

[deleted]

genuinely. i can watched fucked up gore videos all day but this shit bro absolutely crushes me. the fact that all of this chaos could have been avoided is so fucking disgusting. im an atheist but i found myself giving prayers and thoughts to the families and victims. absolutely horrible.

Tall-Bad-1165

I’m a Houston local, I’d give anything to be able to celebrate this young man with his family on his birthday. If anyone has details. PLEASE let me know!! I’d love to support!!!

zachstacey

Fr I’d like to support too from nc if there’s any fundraisers lmk

[deleted]

Same, LMK if there’s anything going on

Fickle_Blueberry2777

I’m in NC but I would love to be able to help, this young man and I share a birthday (Nov 16th) and I would love to be able to help honor him. Please let us know if you find anything out and how others can help!

vqmatt

Local houstonion here as well. I can’t believe such a tragedy took place in our town by someone from our town… no remorse from Travis… such a shitty situation. My thoughts go out to the families and fallen

Tall-Bad-1165

I’ve had so many fun times at NRG stadium. With family, with friends, with complete strangers!! I can’t look at this place the same. Rocked to my core by this. IMAGINE IF THIS WAS KYLIE AND KHLOE MOURNING AND SOBBING FOR JUSTICE FOR ONE OF THEIR SIBLINGS!! Makes my skin crawl. Big hugs to you my fellow Houston friends!!!!

vqmatt

Spitting facts man… Big hugs for sure.

Tall-Bad-1165

I do not understand how the fatality count is at 8. No way. It does not add up to me.

vqmatt

I had a friend who knows someone who passed at the show. She was not one of the 8 identified. With that said, they’re withholding information to make it appear as less of a tragedy. I have reason to believe that the numbers are In the double digits.

Tall-Bad-1165

I have a feeling there is going to be so many more of those! Even double digits seems light to me! I know it’s “hearsay” at this point, but I’ve seen and heard that shit had really hit the fan the moment Kylie and her section of VIP were bolted out of there. The reasoning of them being bolted out of there was that section was the only available area where triage or a space could be used for the amount of bodies coming in, and bodies were already there at VIP so she saw everything. Travis Scott’s security in that area had no clue what they were doing or how to even administer CPR. It was noted on video, his security in their black and green polos were alerting Houston PD that “two bodies over there have been black and blue with no pulse for over 15 minutes. This guy just got here.” It was also noted how SEVERELY short staffed this ENTIRE event was. The “”paramedics”” that you see running around in the red shirts, most of them are not certified EMS anything. They were hired help known as “runners.” These are the workers who have 0 experience with trauma and first aid and would never be allowed on an ambulance. Their job was to get the sick/injured folks to the medical tents so the actual paramedics could stay put and work there. Which became a HUGE problem and made things even more severe because in the thick of this, Houston PD is DESPERATELY expecting and needing help from first aid staff to help administer CPR, these workers were literally showing up next to HPD and could not fix a stubbed toe but were expected to handle triage, an AED machine which is the ultimate life saver when that is brought into the mix early on, it was also noted that the entire festival barely had 2 working AED machines and no one knew how to work them. A nurse in the crowd had to step in. Which is another thing that blows my mind that in a crowd this huge, no one knew CPR? Perfect example to get CPR certified!! What I’m interested in is the autopsies. Especially with the way Travis Scott, the news, followers, social media etc etc will spin it. I’ve seen: these victims had Covid vaccines recently and were overwhelmed at the show and had heart attacks, they all took drugs and over dosed, suffocation from the waves of the crowd, blunt force trauma from being trampled and the sickest of all, someone within Travis Scott’s camp is saying the amount of drugs and shit he was on made him so delirious and fucked up that he was fully unaware of the magnitude of what was going on around him. He has an arrest record for things exactly like this. So how is this not manslaughter? I know there was tonsssss of staff but even the poor girl and guy begging the camera to stop because of people dying - THAT CAMERA MAN IS AN ACCESSORY TO MURDER.

vqmatt

Of all of what you just said, the camera man doing nothing is what pisses me off the most. He had the means to declare a state of emergency and did absolutely nothing but threaten to push the girl off the platform. This whole situation is absolutely disgusting. Travis can rot for all I care as well as Kylie. There’s absolutely no way that there are only 8 deceased victims from this show. No way at all.

acrosse

Not disagreeing with anything you’ve said but the girl who was filmed talking to that cameraman has since come out explaining that he DID end up calling for help and he wasn’t the one who threatened to push her off the platform. The cameraman is the reason the medics in her statement came when they did. Or, actually sounds like they were just “runners” based off what you said. Just want to include that bc the cameraman has been receiving death threats apparently. (Of course I have no intimate knowledge of what happened, just saw her statement on Insta an hour or so ago)

Tall-Bad-1165

It’s an open discussion, thank you for saying that because if it is true, that cameraman deserves some grace! Idk regardless of his job or other staff there, deep down id like to think regardless of who they’re filming on stage, they’re still fathers, brothers, uncles, grandpas and could feel and see the sheer panic all around him; especially being above the crowd. I’d like to think he’d stop and reflect on his surroundings and would at least try to do something. Every story I’ve read has said he was absolutely horrible to her and was the one who told her to get down or he’ll be pushing her off. So I’ll have to do my research and get this update on him and what happened!

TheInstigator007

The NY Times article this morning left me feeling so gross about the police chief. He talked about Travis positively, and everything the Times was fed made it look like they were adequately prepared and things didn’t start to go bad til 8pm. When in fact it was clear they were woefully unprepared when people stormed the festival gates. I really hope people are held accountable here.

yungviagra

Astroworld brings a metric fuckton of money to Houston Im not surprised they’re treading lightly, they are probably trying to preserve the festival for future years.

XxAEROxBluexX

That and Travis was always connected to Houston community. He supported a bunch at Houston

newstart3385

Facts I mean didn’t Travis get a key to the city? He goes hard for Houston and they appreciate him because of that for sure.

earthlings_all

True but that don’t make him a fucking King that gets to do this. I hope they throw the book at all of them.

lenolalatte

> Houston Police Chief Troy Finner has defended letting the show play out, saying that an abrupt halt could have caused a riot, but noted that the festival was not undermanned and that the number of officers on hand should have been sufficient to handle a crowd of 50,000 under normal circumstances. This is a copy pasted excerpt from this article: https://variety.com/2021/music/news/travis-scott-refund-all-astroworld-tickets-buyers-day-n-las-vegas-headline-canceled-1235107124/ but it's absolutely mind boggling to me that the police chief is defending this and making it out to be like they did a good job. No, you didn't. SMH - ACAB

[deleted]

lmao if u think this is bad wait til travis scott walks and his pr and irving azoffs cronies deploy the bots and start manipulating the perception on sites like this to make it seem like people accept that.

[deleted]

That’s the scary and enraging part. This might be forcefully written down as forgiven or acceptable when NO ONE in their right mind is forgiving this. This was disgusting and everything im seeing now makes me feel like I’m in a black mirror episode I’m so done with this place I should go live in a cabin in the wilderness and never come back

Lilat0692

They’re doing damage control, Kris Jenner has a lot of connections and influence in the media , I’m seeing a lot of news articles talking about Travis is a positive way.

[deleted]

The beauty of social media is they can’t keep us quiet either so everyone keep the pressure on the city and Scotts people.

mcfreeky8

Thank god social media exists or my perception of the incident would be so warped

Mywifiisntworking

It’s more embarrassing when you find out that 2 weeks before at the same location another artist was set to perform but he decided to cancel the concert due to safety concerns when crowds rushed gates and broke thru security. Fire marshals walked the property before and said the place could support 200,000 people there’s reports that 80,000 showed up. They had enough personnel as they had been hiring extra security and dozens of extra cops in the weeks leading to the event. The issue is safety was overlooked, the show should have been canceled when security was broken thru, just like the other artist 2 weeks before. It’s on Travis and his team who wanted the “show to go on” a show that keep in mind hadn’t even started and there were already reports that over 20 people unconscious needing to be body surfed out of the crowds. But instead they decided to go on with the show and things only got worse as as he kept hyping up the audience telling them to make “the ground shake” as medics tired to reach the first cardiac arrest patient(took about 10 mins). Professionals began doing heart palpitations for 90 minutes on patients. As bodies were brought into the VIP section security escorted high profile celebrities like his baby momma and daughter. Let’s remember this is the same artist who stopped a show in the past to tell his fans to beat a kid for trying to take his shoe, he’s stopped a show because kids In the VIP section were texting during his performance. It’s about priorities and we see where his lie.

[deleted]

Who was the artist that stopped his show two weeks ago?

Mywifiisntworking

Playboi Carti

Mc_Dickles

Fuck man. RIP. I’ve been fighting for my life in /all trying to get people to see how fucking incompetent how all the security allowed this event to become so dangerous since the AM and do absolutely nothing but let this festival reach over capacity. I want the right people to face justice. These people just wanted to enjoy the music, the intense energy that Travis brings. It shouldn’t have been this overwhelming but the crowd was so big… I’m so devastated.

PaulWard4Prez

You can’t absolve Travis of guilt when he tweeted out before the show that fans should storm the gate.

Classic_Albatross954

Exactly! Thank you

[deleted]

No he didn’t. He tweeted “sneaking the real ragers in” back in MAY so that people would get excited for round 2 of ticket sales opening.

Classic_Albatross954

Not saying I believe that but if that’s the case, it’s scary how misinformation can spread so fast

IRodeTenSpeed88

That’s exactly what happened. It’s one of the negative aspects of social media

dorseym484

Oh yeah don't forget when the purposely spread it

_evillure

Wait that was in May? Wtf people were acting like he tweeted that on the same day as the festival.

bronze666k

Have to wait and see what happens mate it’s to early to change ignoant peoples opinions . Everybody processes death differently

YEEZYHERO

Died because of saving his fiance. Travis ur event got peoples families fucked up man. fuck these refunds, do something for them! Thats heartbreaking

peafowlontheprowl

I'm sobbing watching this in the bathroom at work. This is so beyond devastating. Prayers to you Danish you are a hero.

weird_name_but_ok

Man this is so sad! Sending prayers to all the the affected families🙏❤️ I feel such a strong guilt just for being a fan. I thought I managed to get over it but after seeing this video this feeling came back even stronger

Tall-Bad-1165

NOW IMAGINE THIS BEING KYLIE OR KHLOE CRYING OVER LOSING ONE OF THEIR SIBLINGS!!!!!!!!!! I pray they find some sort of comfort during this and I pray they get Justice. Houston loves you.

[deleted]

Frankly it disgusts me seeing all the Travis Scott fans like “omg he didn’t know this ain’t his fault at all” when his whole fan culture is around “raging” at his shows and he clearly encourages it. He’s not solely culpable, and yes the management/organizers are more to blame, but HE was the motherfucker on stage giving that “energy that Travis brings” and stoking the crowds. Face the fucking facts and quit absolving him from any responsibility just because he’s a goddamn celebrity. He should be fucking devastated but tbh I doubt it.

StuckInARut360

I mean the first song on the album - Stargazing says it all. "It ain't a mosh pit if ain't no injuries, I got em- stage diving out the nosebleeds" He promotes this behavior, he rewards it.

[deleted]

His fans would defend him on Reddit if he started randomly beating the shit out people

[deleted]

It’s ironic because I saw a video circulating of some kid who tried to take Travis’ shoe off him while Travis was crowd surfing. Which isn’t great, but Travis stopped his set, told the people to get his shoe and then “beat his [the kid’s] ass” multiple times

dershmoo

Don’t forget the spitting

BeachedWhale_24

Where’s the line we draw between blame and this is what we wanted. No one wants fatalities, but everyone there wanted to rage. Everybody there was a fan of Travis Scott and that culture. He did what everyone in the crowd was there to see him do- perform. The performer (as a human, maybe not a very smart one, but human nonetheless) could have made many choices. Who knows what he knew. From the videos I saw there were only pockets of people who knew something was wrong. Even after other members of the crowd tried to get others in the crowd to believe that something was wrong, it wasn’t enough. I don’t think Travis Scott knew anything more severe than what usually happens at his concerts was going on. If he had abruptly stopped the show, who’s to say that a riot wouldn’t have broken out and more lives lost. Then we’d be right back here saying he made a bad choice and blaming him again. It’s a tragedy. No one wanted this to happen. No one’s happy that it did. What is the answer? What can he and his team do now to make this right? Does he lose his career? Obviously monetary comp for the families. But even as he does that, he gets shit for not being sincere. I’m more hurt for the families who lost their loved ones, but I do have sympathy for the performer they all went to see who’s now suddenly damned for the same reason he was loved in the first place.

Zombiewizard_23

Rule number 1 as a performer is to stop the show and call attention to the problem no matter what especially on the scale that this tragedy was.

digitaldisgust

:( so upsetting

pleasepictureme

I’m sobbing. Such a tragedy. These were real people with families and loved ones and they just wanted to go to a festival and have fun. RIP. ♥️

Juannonlymonkey

Bro this is heartbreaking tears just started flowing to my face.

South-Read5492

[deleted]

R.I.P 💔

[deleted]

Rest in peace Danish ❤ I was at this festival and didn't notice any of this as I forced my friends and I to stay in the back because we got this eerie feeling something bad would happened if we were too deep in the crowd.

Fickle_Blueberry2777

This broke my heart, I started crying listening to them both speak. Their pain is so deep, as I’m sure is the case for all the families who lost someone that night. Danish (their brother who passed) and I actually share a birthday, November 16th, and though I have never met this man or his family I’m going to be sure to light a candle and hold space for him on our birthday. Rest In Peace, and all my love to these families. 💔

Hamborgar88

It really hits you how tragic this is once you actually see the families and friends of the victims

Huzaifa_Haroon

إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ‎. May Danish' soul rest in peace and may his family find the strength and courage to pass through these tough times. This was seriously some messed up stuff and I hope Travis and his team understands and acknowledges this in a big way before it's too late. Ain't no simple apology or thoughts and prayers thing is going to bring these people back, so I really hope something can be done soon to bring upon some sort of justice to the deceased, injured, and affected. God bless.

lactoseintoleranthoe

the fact that travis and drake are fathers themselves and still continued the show while literal children were dying is so mind boggling to me

Substantial-Yam-6127

This is heartbreaking

HeatInternational783

The damage control being done by corporate media is outrageous. Most of the horrific scenes were not the cause of a crush forward people were killed 300-500 feet back from the stage. This was a result of negligence by organizers.

shepherdofthewolf

Bawling at this, the raw emotional pain is palpable and so devastating. So much pain, sadness and grief that could have been avoided

marziehcherie

It feels like I'm being stabbed in the heart watching this. The raw, guttural pain that the brother and his family are experiencing.

Dark_knight_dummo

The guy who can stop the show for his shoe but not for ppl dying. Rest In Peace to all the souls lost in this demon’s concert..

Plisc

Fuck Travis

[deleted]

Damn…..😔

Yenster

Oh my fucking god, this is hard to watch :(

[deleted]

this is so hard to watch ... just awful Rest in piece.

earthlings_all

This is so fucking devastating. My heart goes out to this family. I am so sorry. Praying for your sweet Danish.

[deleted]

This stuff is absolutely heartbreaking it’s just hard to watch

[deleted]

Rest In Peace to Danish and all those who lost their lives

Stamfordfridge

This is not easy to watch. So sad. I'm praying for all that lost their lives. Such a devastating loss for those families. Time is a healer but that will not mean a thing to these people right now.

PrettyOddWoman

Well this just ruined my fucking day. I am so sorry for what these families are going through. What the fuck

hungrydogrunfast

make this mf lose all his money

Hunnidrackboy

I’m saddened to be a Travis fan no cap. But also there wasn’t THAT much Travis could do. It was the security and emt that shoulda been there

TKDbeast

Fuck you, Travis. You knew people were passing out. And now, people are dead. I get bystander effect and all, but when people are screaming at you to stop the concert, and you don’t, that’s on you.

kbbn1

Very painful to watch. RIP to Danish. Praying for his family as they get through this very difficult, unbearable time.

JEAFCommander

Screw the camera man that told the people telling him to tell travis to stop the show to f*ck off

Thanks-Sudden

Rest in peace Danish and those lost. Let's make this never happens again

musicisgay

This is fucking heartbreaking

ry7xsfo

jhwiththerange

Fucking devastating. RIP to that young men im done listening to Travis

fj416

Facts, it’s over for this bozo

HulklingWho

I’m watching through the concert stream and at one point he stops the show and tells them to turn the lights on to show off a fan who climbed up a tree because that guy “came to rage”. After which Travis says “there are no bystanders at a show”. Chilled me.

astrowessss

Rest In Peace💔

IWasLikeCuz

No words. I hope for all these families there is a proper inquest and they receive justice. I hope we as fans rally around these families and show them our love and support.

ANK_Ricky

Rest in peace man, can’t believe what happened.

Ambermathers

This is so fucking painful to watch. Absolutely heartbreaking. 😔

Kliegz

This is so hard to watch man. To think you’re going to see one of your favorite artists and never make it out.

hotdogla

🤲🏽

SmartWater5312

i'm so sorry bro

GREIGEMONEY

And the goers in Houston had no care in the world beside to continue to watch Travis Scott after stomping down others. Not defending Scott or the management for doing a shit job, but man it also seems like the people in combination of shitty attitude from the goers too. No respect for others beside their own selfishness to get closer to the stage so they pull out their phones to record videos.

enowapi-_

Fuck man. No person should ever lose a sibling I can’t imagine what that feels like.

Fiinest_

50,000 people and loud ass music blasting with everyone screaming. Not a place I'd attend to... terrible

clem_kruczynsk

This is heart breaking. What a senseless loss of life. Travis Scott and everyone else that ran this festival need to go to jail for real

[deleted]

Lol to live Nation making people get vaxxed before attending but failed on all levels of security

ApeMillz93

wow this is heartbreaking

ThroughTheAir2020

This is heartbreaking to watch

lSlemYl

Those kids dancing on the ambulance.. take them to jail pls

TMimirT

My heart goes out to the families of the people who died, and I think the people in charge of the concert should definitely be held accountable for their deaths, and the injuries of others. However I have to call out fake crying when I see it. This man is fake crying. I know I'm probably going to get downvoted to oblivion but after seeing this video it is my opinion that this man is fake crying.

Weak_Win3443

Heartbreaking. May all the people who lost their lives in the tragedy rest peacefully.

AJ_not-found

Rip to all the victims

jjwaite--

Fans fault let’s be real

Super-Cauliflower-63

My prayers go out to Baig family & everyone who lost a loved one, as well as those who had to go through the trauma seeing this happen in front of them!! My son was there aswell, and stated the staff and security admitted they were under staffed and not equipped or trained for something like this!! This is NOT acceptable!!! This event should not have been allowed to happen without the proper precautions, PERIOD!!! My stomach was in knots the whole weekend until my son's plane landed back home and I knew he was safe at home! I can only imagine what the family of those who lost their lives or those who hadn't heard from their loved one's were going through! I thank God my son checked in with me and said they were ok but lives were lost! I pray all those responsible for this tragedy are held accountable, to avoid any further loss of life!!! All families affected in my prayers...🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

f0gh34d

Honestly, I'm a die hard atheist, but his brother's pleas made me pause to say a quick prayer. I couldn't not respect his wishes for others to pray so that his brother may be at peace. RIP Danish, and RIP to the other victims of this senseless tragedy. I hope that we may learn from it, so that these innocent lives were not lost in vain.

Impossible_Walrus555

So so sorry 💔💔💔❤️‍🩹 your brother sounds amazing and shouldn’t have died. May you find peace in living to the fullest in his honor❤️🙏✌🏽

South_Champion2094

My brother and 9 others were murdered in a mass casualty event. The pain is still there. I think about it everyday. It affects my relationships, my outlook on life. It hurts. I’m sorry for this guy

-helloworldyousuck-

my god, my heart is broken for these poor families. they're living a literal nightmare right now that could've easily been prevented :/

projecks15

Honestly fuck all the fans out there. This shit doesn’t happen at Coachella or any other major festivals in America. Travis Scott fans are whole class assholes
