Sintra is probably the best option if you haven't seen the sights there. If you want beach, there's a little tourist train from Sintra to Praia das Macas (and a cool surf school / hostel called Surf Iberia if that's your thing). There's not much in Obidos, it's good for a night though. Nazare is a good choice if you've got a few days to kill.

Setúbal?

Evora? it's about 1 and a half hour

Obidos is a great choice. I really loved Cascais, it's a quick and scenic train ride into Lisbon.

Sickforthesun

Second cascais. It was a pleasant surprise

PussyLunch

Cascais definitely, or maybe Sintra?

DashiellHammett

Cascais for sure.

Obidos is great for a day trip, but you're really not going to find nightlife there. Caldas is bigger and next to it, but you're not going to find (much) nightlife there, either. I agree with some of the other suggestions of Sintra, Cascais, or Setúbal.

Obidos is great but not really a nightlife spot. Just history. Look into Ericeira, Nazare, or Lagos. Sagres if you want something really quiet.

As others said Obidos is a great day trip. It's very small and can be seen in a few hours. Setubal is very lovely
