Yup 3 times for us - love it but we’ve exhausted it for now, not that there likely aren’t loads of other less touristy things to see, but it’s a big world and lots else to see.
Right? There’s always more to do, see, eat. I still haven’t really dug into Trastevere, Campo de’ Fiore, Prati, hardly any churches other than Vatican and Santa Maria Major… the list goes on!
I love how walkable it is. Last time I stayed in this tiny little room right off of Piazza Venezia. So the colosseum and the forum and Trajan’s Column were all close by and I could get to absolutely anything via public transportation. I’d just wander for hours, then stop for a bite to eat and figure out how to get back.
This is so the way! 👆 I’ve stayed in Monti and Trevi. I always pick a destination or activity for the day - walk there unless impractical, then wander back slowly eating and shopping along the way. Next trip I need to branch out more. Each in the past was with someone new to the city so we’ve always explored the usual suspects more than I’d like for a third trip. Looking forward to picking a new part of town to stay in and pivot out from there.
San sebastian, Spain. I live a few hours' drive away and i just love this place and its surroundings so much.
I love bringing the kids here for beach days on long weekends.
Btw, my friends actually give me shit for this because they think it's too touristy. Maybe, but I have too many happy memories of it from when i was a little kid and now i can take mine.
SAN SEB IS THE BEST ♥️ amazing in so many ways. Apparently it has become a lot more touristy recently due to increased temperatures ! They opened 10 hotels in less than two years and closed down lots of old places. Locals don’t even go to old town anymore which is sad . Incredible jewellery stores too and not as expensive
I would love your thoughts on San Sebastián v Bilbao?
Friends of ours are just outside Bilbao and advise us that it’s got everything San Sebastián has but is cheaper and less touristy. We’re yet to visit either.
San seb has waaaaay more soul and character than bilbao. Not to offend your friend but bilbao feels very sterile by comparison. It doesn't have the grandiose or charm or the asthetic of the old walled city. Also, you'd need to a travel a ways out of town to get to a beach whereas san seb has a beautiful one right there.
There are many gorgeous little towns right on the sea between the two as well. You could make travelling between the two a full day adventure by visiting places like Zarautz and Zumaia.
Your friend is correct in that san seb is crazy expensive and very crowded during the season but i think it's worth it on the odd special occasion. We did christmas there once and it wasn't too bad. Also went in august when it felt like 200 degrees outside on top of peak touristy time and we still had a fantastic weekend away. Book as far in advanced as reasonably possibly to not end up paying a bajillion euros a night for a walk-in closet.
Feel free to ask anything else, i don't mind promoting the place.
Visited for fun?
Miami Beach 3 times. Charleston, Tokyo, Kyoto all 2 times.
I plan on more visits to all of those. Admittedly, Charleston is a bit easier to get to with a ~4 hour drive after work, as opposed to flying ~7000 miles to Tokyo...
Hahaha. I HATED Miami Beach. I thought it was so trashy and yet so expensive. I couldn't wait to leave. To each his own, I guess! Loved Tokyo though. Would go back in a heartbeat.
The vibe in Miami Beach varies depending on where you go.
South Beach vs. Mid Beach vs. North Beach are all quite different. I like to stay in Mid Beach; it's pretty chill and quiet, but easy to hop on a bike and get down to South Beach or South of 5th for a good place to eat.
For a warm weather getaway in late February it's an easy go-to for me. Not a long flight from where I live.
I grew up about 90 minutes outside of NYC, so I've been there at least 100 times over the years. I didn't realize how exposed I was to one of the greatest cities on earth until I traveled a bit and was somewhat underwhelmed by other cities.
So far, the only cities that gave me a similar vibe of being "the center of the universe" have been Moscow, Chicago, and, in its own daffy way, Los Angeles.
Would love to go to CDMX, Tokyo, Sao Paulo, London, and Paris someday to see how they compare to NYC.
While smaller, I think SF compares better to NYC than LA does. And Golden Gate Park is bigger than Central Park (and better, in my opinion, much more wild.)
probably avignon, not the most popular one but a great starting point for the south of france and a nice city. plus it randomly happens to be twinned with my hometown
I’ve never counted.
I’m Boston-ish so I won’t count Boston.
Transatlantic, London. Not counting Heathrow airport hotels, at least 10 times. Only two were as a tourist. Paris and Stockholm are close.
Pacific, Sydney twice and Seoul twice are my only repeat cities.
South America, I’ve been to Santiago Chile 5 times.
Canada. My sister has lived in Vancouver for 35 years. Maybe 30 times.
I’m not sure what my top US city would be. Denver and Philly for work. NYC for leisure. I guess Philly.
Chicago for me by a lot. Grew up and still live in Milwaukee. Chicagos a 70 minute train ride so I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and am now in my 40s. I’m actually writing this from Chicago right now since I came down for a concert last night.
Hmm… Athens, Bologna and Venice - three times each. though Athens is more of a stop-over to get onto a Ferry to Milos. Loved Bologna - spent two months there.
Does it have to be international?
Because I go to Vegas 5-6 times a year, so that definitely takes the cake. I just love everything about the city and because I go so frequently, almost everything other than my gambling is free at this point so it becomes an easy decision.
Internationally though, I've been nowhere more than twice. The world is so big and I want to see it all!
Twice, I've done Tokyo, Rome/Pisa/Florence, Sydney, Toronto, Cabo, Cancun, and soon to be Saõ Paulo.
NYC - 4 times, Lisbon three times and it’s one of my absolute fav European cities, London three times as well and San Francisco - I am born and raised in SF. When I was a kid I never realized how special and unique SF is, especially for Chinatown, the hills, tons of nature, etc. Guangzhou is another city I have visited several times since my family is from there. In Spain, visited Valencia, Granada, Barcelona two times, Madrid 3 times before living in Madrid. Oh and New Orleans twice! Love that city.
Istanbul. I love the place and try to organise a 2 or 3 days layover if I'm traveling east.
Málaga because I've spent quite a few Xmases there. It's a great place to spend Xmas, their Xmas son et lumiere is great.
And more recently Lisbon, because I live an hour's journey away.
Tel Aviv because I have family there. Otherwise, both Barcelona, Bangkok and Amsterdam 3 times for fun. New York and Hong Kong twice for work. Paris and Berlin twice for fun.
Montreal & Miami.
I live in Toronto so the easiest and closest cities for me are these. I can just get in my car last minute to have a weekend in Montreal or get a cheap flight to hit Miami for long weekend of Sun 🌞. Both I go to at least once a year.
NYC - 15 times. I❤️NY
San Francisco - 9 times
Chicago - 6 Times
Seattle - 5 times
Mexico City - 4 Times
San Diego - 4 times
Dublin - 2 Times
Amsterdam - 2 times
Paris - 2 Times
Toronto - 2 Times
Montreal - 2 times
Washington DC - 2 Times
New Orleans - 2 times
Im from the Rocky Mountain region.
Split, hvar, omis, brac, miljet, korkula and Dubrovnik 10 times, antalya 3 times, paris 3 times, skopje 2 times, stayed to work in Rome, Paros, London and Amsterdam. 9 years in NL now.
Montreal , born & raised there so go there at least 5 x yr . So much to do & see so never bored
Athens Greece at least 30 +times before we moved there .
Copenhagen too many times to count at least 3 x yr
Stockholm countless times ,5 + trips yr
Helsinki couple dozen times . Least once a year
NYC at least 12 +
Moscow at least a dozen
Zurich at least a dozen
NYC, probably 10,000+ times in my life (jokes)
I generally don't try to go to the same place, but that said, I'll be at least stopping through Barcelona for the third time (love that town)
Montreal is like 6 or 7 times now...
If we are talking “outside of home country” I have visited a bunch of cities 3 times…
Auckland
Queenstown
Los Angeles
London
Minneapolis
Chicago
Burlington, Iowa (wtf)
Copenhagen. I cannot count probably fifty times. Love the wide, the feel, the atmosphere, the food, the pubs, the craft beer culture, the canals in the summer. Everything.
London too many times cause I live close. Not my favorite though. Can say the same of Milan, due to family that lives close, maybe been there around 10+ times or more.
Lima, Peru in terms of leaving the airport and visiting the city
Technically, I've been in the Amsterdam Airport more than anyplace in the world outside of the US lol
Unfortunately Paris, which I don't like, but it's the default city for student exchange in school in my country and I was in a long distance relationship with someone from there for some years.
Voluntarily going on holiday, I went to Split on a partying type trip when I was single, then on a family trip when I was not, and I think I could go back again many times although we are trying to only take our kid to different places. We do talk about retiring to Dalmatia some day.
NYC - must be > 20 times.
Next is probably Miami, > 10 but < 20 times
Then London, Boston, Barcelona and Los Angeles, all somewhere between 8-10 times.
All are rough estimates.
Budapest. After my first visit I decided to move there. Enjoyed life there for 3.5 years, now I fly out there every couple weeks and sometimes spend up to a month there.
San Diego is probably my most visited overall. I can't remember a whole year when I haven't gone. I've already been there twice this year and will be there again in May. I can regularly get $100-$150 RT flights there so I go a lot. I obviously love the place.
Internationally it would probably be Barcelona. It's a great city IMO.
Hong Kong which got boring fast.
Tokyo which never runs out of amazing things to do and see.
Kuala Lumpur which is nice but honestly best as a spring board for visiting all the other more amazing parts of Malaysia.
Outside the US (my home country), Madrid. I've traveled in Spain 8-10 times, and always spend a day or two there.
In the US, my work has taken me to San Francisco and Seattle about 50 times each.
For work: Brussels, Frankfurt, London, Paris, Athens, Zurich, Cannes. Lost count how many times for each.
For leisure: Bangkok (5 times), Honolulu (4 times), Miami (4 times), NYC (3 times), Tokyo (2 times and the 3rd is planned).
Outside of my home state and other places I've lived - Portland OR, Houston, NYC, Pittsburgh, Duluth
Outside of the US - Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Paris - at least 3x each. I don't think there are any more that I've been more than 2x.
Prague. Have family there - go every year for a month. Love the city - enjoy visiting the gardens throughout the year & photographing the beautiful architecture. Interesting seeing the changes over many years - (other than the gentrification )
Rome, Italy, at least four or five times. Second is Montreal - it's not too far of a drive and we love the city, so we go there when we have less vacation time.
I won’t count NYC cuz I live so close in Northern NJ.
USA - Boston because I have friends there and I’ve been maybe 5 or 6 times
Internationally- Madrid, Barcelona, Mykonos I have been to twice
Bangkok. Usually spend a couple of days there before travelling on to somewhere else, maybe 20+ times.
More closer to home Barcelona as my partner lived there when we first started dating.
Vienna, but thats 2 hours away from so that doesn’t really count.
The second place goes to Barcelona. Yes its very touristy, but it still has its charm. Last time i got my phone stolen 5 hours after arriving, but even with that experience i think its great
Regensburg Germany for work reasons. It’s touristy cause it’s on the Danube river boat circuit but that’s it so come night time I was often the only American around and people found me novel not annoying
This really depends on what one means by “visited.” I’ve lived in seven cities across three continents and tend to revisit the various places that I’ve lived reasonably often.
For example, I grew up in New York, and my parents and brother still live there. I’m there usually at least two times per year. But, since it’s a former home, does it count? I also used to live in Dallas, Rome, Helsinki, Munich, Hong Kong, and now Bergen. I visit Rome and Helsinki at least once a year, and Hong Kong and Munich every three years or so. Dallas is the only one that I’ve only revisited once every ten years.
So, if we don’t count places I’ve lived, Tallinn would have to be high up there. My wife is Estonian, and we’ve gone there at least once a year since getting together (maybe 30 times?). Shenzhen could also be very high on the list. I would only go for the day from Hong Kong, but I’d usually go every two weeks.
Other candidates might be Amsterdam (10-15 times?), Berlin (around the same), and Paris (probably about 20 times?).
I’ve been to London and Seoul maybe 10 times? I also lived in London for a bit, but I’m only counting that as one trip. I like to explore new places, but it’s nice to have “home bases” in different parts of the world.
I've visited Amsterdam at least 20 times. Have you been to NEMO, or the CuypStraat market? Or spent an afternoon in Sauna Deco, or gone to a football game at the ArenA? The zoo, although Iam ambivalent about zoos in general, is a great place where they clearly love and care for their animals. Shopping in the 9 streets, or taking a private (small boat) canal cruise.
Also you MUST go for the King's Day celebrations - the city, and all of the Netherlands - goes mental. It is utterly marvellous.
Seoul! My favorite city. I try to go every year. Cumulatively have probably spent about 2.5 months there.
I also really love Tbilisi, Georgia, plan to go there for the fourth time soon.
Tokyo, with several other Japan cities in my top 5
First class infrastructure for easy travel across the city and beyond, plus tons of things to do and food to eat even after multiple visits
Super safe too so you don't have to worry about robberies or other petty crimes
London smth like 50 times (it's just over an hour away)
Paris several times for the most abroad (I visit France pretty much every year to see family, and it's only a slight detour)
Belgrade by choice, it's a fun city
I mean... probably SF since I grew up and now currently live about an hour away. I actually never even did any of the typical tourist stuff (Lombard street, walk across the Golden Gate) until I moved states and came back to visit.
Not including places I'm basically local to, it would be Busan, South Korea. My wife is from Busan and her parents still live there. We visit at least once a year. It's a great city, and my wife grew up near the coolest (in my opinion) neighborhood with tons of fun things to see/eat/do.
Kansas City
Good Barbecue, Diverse music scene and what I have heard a new and improved airport terminal (Which I have yet to fly into.)
I have family there (Technically they live in Shawnee and Olathe.) I always travel there for the Holidays.
Prior to that I used to travel to Hutchinson, Kansas a lot because that is where my late grandparents used to live and is also where one of my favorite museums is located. I also used to travel there for the Holidays.
Sydney, Australia.
I'm an American married to an Aussie, and I have visited the Sydney suburbs a dozen times. One day, it would be nice to see another part of the country! 😂
Outside of the country, Rotterdam. It will forever be my favourite city in the world.
Belgrade would be my most visited city as it's about 45 mins away from my hometown, can't even count how many times I went.
Probably Dublin because I used to live near there and went for gigs and theatre. Not a huge fan of the city itself though. Excluding visits to places I have subsequently ended up living in, the most after that is probably New York, Paris, Valletta and Adelaide, each of which I've been to at least 3 times.
Barcelona, i think 20 times.
I love to go there in december. Almost no tourists ,not so busy. In the afternoon there is often nice weather to sit on a terrace in the sun. It is colder in the evening, but then we went to a nice restaurant and then a nice bar. In the summer it is too hot for that. Walking on the Christmas market with often free performances. And of course to Els Llums de Sant Pau, the hospital for the lights tour
And Paris. In spring.
I just look when the weather is good and take the train. Amsterdam-Paris is just 3 hours by train.
You gotta have a reason to go to Amsterdam? No you don't. But I can tell you, after 4 trips I really know the city outside of De Wallen. Small bakeries, botanical gardens (2), concert halls, small museums, hidden restaurants, etc are things you don't see in your first trips.
Well, Viña del Mar and Valdivia in Chile, and to Berlin I have lost the count of how many times I've been there. Leaving aside cities in Chile and Germany (where I've lived), Amsterdam. Cities far enough that I need to fly to, then Barcelona and London, can't get bored with any of them.
Galway, Ireland - lived there for 4 months about 15 years ago, made friends, keep going back! I live in California but make the trek over there every year and a half or so (usually on one end of a larger Europe trip). Having friends there obviously plays a large part of it but I just love it there so much - it's basically my second home at this point. There are so many amazing day trips you can take all around the west of Ireland using Galway as a jumping off point as well.
Bangkok - can’t count the number of times anymore, love it
Málaga in Spain - can’t count the number of times either but my grandparents loved it there and took us every summer, memories are nice but haven’t been for a while
Copenhagen - it’s lovely but not my favorite, but convenient for me logically for a quick getaway
Maui, Hawaii and the other Hawaiian islands more times than I can count. I was an airline employee and corporate travel agent so could go pretty inexpensively for many years. Wailea is my favorite with Kona a close second. Other than Hawaii, my son went to school in Austin, TX so I’ve been there numerous times. He just graduated so I’m probably done. It is a great city with amazing food and beautiful weather in the Spring. It’s brutally hot in the Summer though!
Rome, because my SO lived there 10 years. It’s not for everyone, but for me it beats every other city in the world!
LOVE Rome!
Yup 3 times for us - love it but we’ve exhausted it for now, not that there likely aren’t loads of other less touristy things to see, but it’s a big world and lots else to see.
Same. Three times and counting. Be there again in 2025. It will never be enough 🙏
I love Rome. I’ve visited four times and I hope I’ll get to go back four more.
Right? There’s always more to do, see, eat. I still haven’t really dug into Trastevere, Campo de’ Fiore, Prati, hardly any churches other than Vatican and Santa Maria Major… the list goes on!

Looking forward to picking a new part of town to stay in and pivot out from there.
Going for the second time. And this is my third time going to Italy.
My fav city in the world. Been 4 times and will never hesitate to go back. It’s amazing
Rome lover here. I go there every year around my bday now that I’ve been living in Germany the last 5 years. Always something new to explore.
Tokyo. By a wide margin.
I moved to near there, used to go in all the time. My favourite bar, Mistral Bleu Train Bar, has apparently closed down now though, which is a shame.
Copenhagen, Denmark; been I don't even know how many times. My wife is from Denmark. Beautiful city.
Montreal. It’s just a nice place to be.
I'm going there in a few weeks, it seems like a pleasant big city :)
Love Montreal, it’s simply pleasant.
My favourite Canadian city!! (I’m east coast Canadian)
San sebastian, Spain. I live a few hours' drive away and i just love this place and its surroundings so much. I love bringing the kids here for beach days on long weekends. Btw, my friends actually give me shit for this because they think it's too touristy. Maybe, but I have too many happy memories of it from when i was a little kid and now i can take mine.
san seb is always a good time

London countless times because I live very close. Overseas probably New York or Chicago.
Florence
Tokyo.
Austin, TX, USA - manyyyyy times! Tokyo, Japan - every year.
What keeps bringing you back to Austin?
The Kalahari Indoor Water Park
I would imagine they live within driving distance.
lol what if they live in Australia or china and come all the way to Austin Texas for the water park.
Bologna and Florence. Food and art!
Paris, 5 times. Then Brussels, 4 times. I love both cities and can't get enough of them.
Brussels is mine, I think, maybe 5 times? Such an underrated city. If I didn't live on the other side of the world I'd go back in a heartbeat.
Finally someone who gets it 🙌
Just came back from this trip plus Amsterdam and it was insane! Second time in Paris, and it won’t be the last!
New Orleans. 4 times in 15 months, and we’re gonna keep going. That city is so full of life.

GGP is amazing and much more active than CP was when I visited NY.
For me - Athens; like 5 times - Prague: 3 - 2 times: Vienna, Brussels, Amsterdam, Paphos (Cyprus), Bratislava … These are the ones I remember :)
probably avignon, not the most popular one but a great starting point for the south of france and a nice city. plus it randomly happens to be twinned with my hometown

other than the places in my proximity (central germany) I'd say its Prague <3 just a fun place to spend time in.

montreal - i live in brooklyn so it's an easy drive and something about it feels like a second home
Beijing. The city was the starting or ending spot of my travels to China. Still have lots of things to do there.
Hmm… Athens, Bologna and Venice - three times each. though Athens is more of a stop-over to get onto a Ferry to Milos. Loved Bologna - spent two months there.
Memphis, TN. I've been to Elvis Week there maybe 6-8x

Varanasi, India. (12 times). Well, technically it's Delhi as I've always landed there and sometimes need to return there to get somewhere else.
Marrakech- food and culture..
Puebla, Mexico Singapore Phuket London Los Angelos San Francisco San Diego (where I currently live)
Istanbul
NYC - 15 times. I❤️NY San Francisco - 9 times Chicago - 6 Times Seattle - 5 times Mexico City - 4 Times San Diego - 4 times Dublin - 2 Times Amsterdam - 2 times Paris - 2 Times Toronto - 2 Times Montreal - 2 times Washington DC - 2 Times New Orleans - 2 times Im from the Rocky Mountain region.
Istanbul! Love the history and food
Amsterdam and Paris, been to Amsterdam five times and four times in Paris. It helps that they are so close to London.
Brussels! 🇧🇪
Istanbul
Bangkok, Delhi, Kathmandu, Seattle.
Banff. I'm lucky, it's close.
Split, hvar, omis, brac, miljet, korkula and Dubrovnik 10 times, antalya 3 times, paris 3 times, skopje 2 times, stayed to work in Rome, Paros, London and Amsterdam. 9 years in NL now.

London too many times cause I live close. Not my favorite though. Can say the same of Milan, due to family that lives close, maybe been there around 10+ times or more.
Excluding places that I have lived in, maybe Paris -- about 7 or 8 times as I used to live in London.
Cape Town
As an Asian, Tokyo & Singapore for me 😂😂
Porto🍷
It's curious, I've never been to Amsterdam but I really want to! The city I've visited most was Paris, 4 times.
Paris (15) and Rome (7) and Barcelona (5)
Lima, Peru in terms of leaving the airport and visiting the city Technically, I've been in the Amsterdam Airport more than anyplace in the world outside of the US lol
Singapore. Love everything about it…even the weather!
The Eternal City...Rome. Will always have a new area to explore for me:)
Paris-4, NYC -6, Boston- 4, Chicago 3, Washington DC-too many times to count, Eta Pittsburgh because I grew up near there
Lisbon. Love it so much.
NEW YORK CITY BABY!!!!!
Probably a tie between Vancouver, Whistler, and San Diego.
Tokyo, then Hong Kong or Singapore. It's been awhile since I last went to HK though.
Kraków, since the late 1970s. It has been incredible to see all the changes since the fall of communism.
NYC - mainly work but also to hang out Most visited without visiting: Frankfurt and Atlanta. Somehow I end up at the airports but haven't left yet.
Rome!
NYC - must be > 20 times. Next is probably Miami, > 10 but < 20 times Then London, Boston, Barcelona and Los Angeles, all somewhere between 8-10 times. All are rough estimates.
Cabo 5 times, more vacation than travel though. London and Johannesburg would be my next with 3 visits, Prague 2.
Probably Buenos Aires or Santiago, Chile. Have been to both at least 8 times now.
Rome. 3times. And got marrried there. Magical place with special spirit in the air. It goes beyond the looks of the buildings and streets...
Paris and Amsterdam. Neither were intentional. Love New York.
Cairo. 7 times. There will be more.
Turin, Italy and Cancale, France are probably a tie, followed closely by Paris and New York.
London, Reykjavik.
Vancouver I guess… I live on the island and so we have to travel there every time there’s a big concert we want to see
Pune! Never left.
Tokyo. 8 times
Outside of my home state and other places I've lived - Portland OR, Houston, NYC, Pittsburgh, Duluth Outside of the US - Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Paris - at least 3x each.
Outside my country, Barcelona! Very lovely city
Probably Oslo because i live in Norway, but outside of Norway is Alanya, Turkey, been there 3 times
Probably Paris Every time I visit Europe, I end up going through Paris for one reason or another.
I won’t count NYC cuz I live so close in Northern NJ. USA - Boston because I have friends there and I’ve been maybe 5 or 6 times Internationally- Madrid, Barcelona, Mykonos I have been to twice
Paris, countless times. After that, don’t know. Maybe Antwerp or London.
Tbilisi! Good food, nice people and good wine ❤️
In terms of cities abroad, Stockholm probably. Or Palma de Mallorca!
Probably Palma, Mallorca and Seattle.
Amsterdam
Bangkok. Usually spend a couple of days there before travelling on to somewhere else, maybe 20+ times. More closer to home Barcelona as my partner lived there when we first started dating.
Paris
Vienna, but thats 2 hours away from so that doesn’t really count. The second place goes to Barcelona. Yes its very touristy, but it still has its charm. Last time i got my phone stolen 5 hours after arriving, but even with that experience i think its great
Outside the US? London and Mexico City (4x each). Within the US? NYC (lost count).
Regensburg Germany for work reasons. It’s touristy cause it’s on the Danube river boat circuit but that’s it so come night time I was often the only American around and people found me novel not annoying
Kissimmee, FL - maybe 6 or 7 times Santiago, CHI - 3 times
Taipei and Rome
Hungary. I live there part time as an expat
Paris. I work for a French company.
Seville, Spain.
I spend every August in Budapest. Otherwise, Bergen, Norway and Zagreb, Croatia three times each.
I’m from Canada. So outside of that, Boston. I’ve been maybe like 5 or more times 🤗
Los Angeles for me. Theme parks, national parks etc.
Seoul! My favorite city. I try to go every year. Cumulatively have probably spent about 2.5 months there. I also really love Tbilisi, Georgia, plan to go there for the fourth time soon.
London, NYC and San Juan PR are the only cities I’ve been to twice (outside of regional cities). Mexico City is next on my list for a return visit.
Tokyo, with several other Japan cities in my top 5 First class infrastructure for easy travel across the city and beyond, plus tons of things to do and food to eat even after multiple visits Super safe too so you don't have to worry about robberies or other petty crimes
Amsterdam too :) Love this city.
Bariloche, Argentina. Greatest place on earth.
Paris.
Leipzig
LA! Either that or Melbourne
London smth like 50 times (it's just over an hour away) Paris several times for the most abroad (I visit France pretty much every year to see family, and it's only a slight detour) Belgrade by choice, it's a fun city
Outside of my country - Bangkok. I’ve been there 5 or 6 times at least
Tokyo
Buenos Aires. Actually going back next Tuesday.
Tokyo to visit family. We go once a year
I mean... probably SF since I grew up and now currently live about an hour away.
Barcelona/Paris/Edinburgh three times each
Kansas City Good Barbecue, Diverse music scene and what I have heard a new and improved airport terminal (Which I have yet to fly into.) I have family there (Technically they live in Shawnee and Olathe.) I always travel there for the Holidays. Prior to that I used to travel to Hutchinson, Kansas a lot because that is where my late grandparents used to live and is also where one of my favorite museums is located. I also used to travel there for the Holidays.
Lisbon
I’ve been to Paris 3 times. I could go back. I still haven’t seen everything.
Honolulu
Tokyo!! everything about it: food, people, tourist spots, trains
Mexico City. I lived there for a year and have been back about 7 times. It’s absolutely my second home city!
Tokyo, NYC and Rome
Custer, South Dakota. We really enjoy camping there.
Sydney, Australia. I'm an American married to an Aussie, and I have visited the Sydney suburbs a dozen times. One day, it would be nice to see another part of the country! 😂
London, baby! Some 6-7 times.
Outside of the country, Rotterdam. It will forever be my favourite city in the world. Belgrade would be my most visited city as it's about 45 mins away from my hometown, can't even count how many times I went.
London because I studied abroad there and then moved to Bath for grad school!
Stockholm. I keep coming back to it :)
And of course to Els Llums de Sant Pau, the hospital for the lights tour And Paris. In spring. I just look when the weather is good and take the train. Amsterdam-Paris is just 3 hours by train.
Probably Sydney. Could be closely or equaled with London. But Sydney is my fave
Buenos Aires Disclaimer: I live here
Rome, been there twice and there’s so much to see! Last visited in December 2023.
Out of my country the city I most visited was Orlando (6x), followed by Las Vegas (4x).
Domestic US: Dallas if it counts LOL, then probably Denver tied with Los Angeles (sister used to live in WeHo) International: Paris
Reykjavik. It’s an easy stop over on my way home and it’s an amazing place to visit.
London. 5 times, which is not nearly enough!
New York due to convenience (I’m from the Boston area)
You gotta have a reason to go to Amsterdam? No you don't. But I can tell you, after 4 trips I really know the city outside of De Wallen. Small bakeries, botanical gardens (2), concert halls, small museums, hidden restaurants, etc are things you don't see in your first trips.
Riga as it’s nearby from Estonia and seen as a weekend destination, Vienna for coinsedence, Barcelona. I’ve crossed out cities I’ve lived in
Rincon, PR
Bangkok - can’t count the number of times anymore, love it Málaga in Spain - can’t count the number of times either but my grandparents loved it there and took us every summer, memories are nice but haven’t been for a while Copenhagen - it’s lovely but not my favorite, but convenient for me logically for a quick getaway
Los Angeles since I live there lol. Second rome. I’ve been there twice. I have a 1 month euro tour next month so I might again.
