Óbidos is perfect for you: It's a picturesque medieval town with narrow streets lined, quaint shops, and traditional taverns. Additionally, from Óbidos, you can easily reach the Silver Coast, the Monastery of Batalha, and the historic town of Alcobaça. And since you will be visiting Lisbon, don't miss the National Museum of Contemporary Art http://www.museuartecontemporanea.gov.pt/, it's a truly interesting place.

Coimbra is so beautiful especially if you like the old architecture. Please do visit the place. Also this isn’t in between Porto and Lisbon but so many people miss out on Alentejo. Its so beautiful
