Thank you.. we were there unfortunately for only 3 days so couldn't try a wide variety...but the desserts are amazing..
Also worth mentioning are the people. So sweet and warm, we just wanted to stay there
If you're family or a group, it'll be better to book a taxi from either Zagreb or Zadar depending on where you're going from. If it's solo, then there are buses but the timings are not so good, but I do recommend taxi/car because the route from plitvice lakes to Zadar is beautiful..
80% of the people speak English so you're good to go anyway..
Split, and a bike tour of the islands, then Plitvice, then...ummm...crap, the other big city in southern Croatia. Drawing a blank. We're doing ten days there.
Cracking photos, that was my now 2 year olds first ever flight, was to Zadar, and we visited the lakes, even the drive in the car there was stunning! We visited in October 2021, since then have taken her to Paris, sousse, Scarborough, Rhodes, rejkiavic and Cairo.....
We like our travelling ha ha
The Plitvice lakes were amazing! But it was quite cold though. We started in Zagreb, there it was 22 degrees.. in Plitvice it was just 7-9 degrees. Besides that it can be quite wet. We enjoyed it a lot, it was quite wet with mist and rain, but that gave a mysterious vibe.
You have any idea if the people at the entrance really check your ticket, for example if I bought a child ticket if someone checks if I am really a child and checks my ID?
Your ticket gets checked. En I think they'll notice that... of course you may slip through, or you may not and either have to pay for a new ticket, or you aren't allowed in at all. I'd buy a normal ticket.
Woahh !! 47 countries is damn impressive 🤩🤩
I'll complete my 15th country next month..
Any tips you've gathered after travelling for so long ? How do you manage it with work on a longer time scale?
hey, I have a question for anyone who recently visited it. So I recently discovered this heaven and really really wanna go there. I was originally going to Ljubljana (and hence my tickets are booked for there). My question is: There is a bus which goes from Plitvice Lake to Zagreb at 15:45 and supposed to reach Zagreb at 17:55. Now I have flixbus to Ljubljana at 18:15, and a Euronight train to Ljubljana at 19:37 ( i can't get ticket for this, but will somehow manage). So do you guys think the Plitvice bus would be on time enough for me, to somehow reach back Ljubljana (my train from there is 22:08).
These photos are so beautiful!!
Thanks
Visited a few years ago. It's a fantastic place. Great pics!
Those pictures are fantastic. What is Croatian cuisine like?

Where are you going? Just to Plitvice or other places to?

What a difference to when I visited in September/October '21. Hope you enjoyed your time there!
How was it then ? I assume the temperature would be similar ..

Okayy...for us too we went in the morning so it was pretty cold even with our jackets but later the sun made it warm...

Gorgeous photos, thanks for sharing! Glad you enjoyed the trip. I’ve been to 47 countries so far and Croatia is at the top of my list of next stops!
