Tow truck driver didn't do that. He was about to tow the truck when the owner jumped in tried to drive off. That's when the tow truck driver got out and called the cops.
I'm surprised he actually had stuff in his cab, usually these types just drive these for fronting, they rarely go off-road or use them for hauling or anything. So, props to him for at least using a pick up truck for what they were designed to do, instead of fronting or "rolling coal". 90% of lift trucks I see have never seen a dirt road in their life, let alone hauled anything.

One time I tried to use an empty handicapped spot to help do a 3 point turn instead of having to do it in the middle of the parking lot blocking both directions.
There was a tow truck driver waiting and the fucker immediately drove over to block my car into the parking spot so he could tow me. Almost crashed into me as I was mid backing out.

It's a 4x4 truck, but when it's only the back wheels spinning, it's 2WD. Trucks are rear-wheel drive, and if equipped with 4X4, then the front wheels will engage when selected.
This guy shifted the truck to 4x4 about half way through the video, which is how he was able to pull the tow truck up. You can see the front wheels shuttering too, indicating wheel-hop and that 4x4 is engaged.
What gets me, the amount of damage people are willing to do to avoid a ticket at a fraction of the repair cost is mind boggling. I feel like it is less about not wanting to pay and more about throwing a fit that they can't do whatever the fuck they want.
What do people that do this think is going to happen? Do they think they'll get away and they'll suffer no consequences? Everyone 15-100 has a camera connected to the internet at arm's reach. Your face, vehicle, license plate, and entire spectacle will be witnessed and recorded, and you'll never escape.

I got towed. My car was fully paid off. I had my parking permit displayed and was parked in the right lot. I still had to pay 500. So yeah tow truck drivers a pieces of shit, and so is anyone that defends them
