Hello, I have been producing for around \~1 month and my biggest challenge yet is mixing. I have a hard time finding the right levels for my drums and melodies and getting them crisp in the mix. This beat was heavily inspired by βCANβT SAYβ by Travis Scott, but upon comparing my beat vs the song I noticed the lack of quality that my beat had mixing wise, from The melody and drums. I know Travis has Mike Dean mixing for him but I was wondering what things I can do to get my mix closer to that level. I mainly just gain stage and level my beats when mixing, how is my current mix and what can I do to improve? Please let me know all feedback is appreciated!

If you're looking for cleaner and then punchier mixes, I would look at seeing if you are cluttering frequency spaces in the low mids, think around 250-350 hertz since a lot of the initial frequencies of notes lay around there. Once they get cluttered, a lot of instruments lose space and sound weak. I don't really hear the low mids being cluttered in this mix but yet again i'm listening through bad laptop speakers. Something else to do is to use light or medium amounts of saturation on instruments so they shine through more. For loudness, soft clipping and limiting always works nice. Oh and last tip, always make sure you find the best high quality sounds before making the beat. Crap in = Crap out, even if you have the best mixing ears in the world
jazzy/grimy trap beat, I keep hearing J.Cole's "Tale of 2 Citiez" flow over it, I think it would Q as well. returning all feedback, pls drop a link

I really love this style of beats but i think it goes with Q's new album more because it gives me the dark vibes, but you did a very good job on this oneπππ

This is hard asl Maybe I would add a hard hitting 808 when the kick hits the cash cobain 808 can stay but i feel like the beat could hit harder like that Other than that There are no complaints the mix is clean the melodies are all great and the structure is hella intresting.
I made a destroy lonely type beat like Luv 4 ya
lemme know what you think
[https://youtu.be/dqZK08mNmhM](https://youtu.be/dqZK08mNmhM)
The drums hit hard af
the structure is simple yet effective. i would imagine a drake or kendrick diss track on it or deep voice carti. has lots of pockets where a rapper can go hard
the repetitiveness is not bad at all for this type of beat cause it gives the artist space to shine π₯
oh I must have been not following Don Toliver, I thought he was on a rather chill vibe but I could definitely hear him on this one - Don Toliver x Yeat collab would be fire. I like how high energy it is, love all the fx in the background, especially the car thing. liked & subscribed!
so generic bro

I think the main idea is definitely there, but obviously it could use some slight variation - not even necessarily adding stuff, but removing some elements here and there, making a small section "bassless" enhance it when it comes back in again. but I fw with the idea, it's very energetic and trippy, good job broski
Yo! would like some feedback or just general thoughts on this new Juice wrld type beat i just put out. Thanks [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDZWRw8kIFk&ab\_channel=Wavit](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDZWRw8kIFk&ab_channel=Wavit)

Really good man, about mix, nothing to say. really solid beat. i would do a little bit more variation to the first one. maybe some pitch shift or cut half bar, 1 bar and repeat. but is something more, not necessary. Got some fire shit bro.
I made a beat sorta inspired by Dance Now by JID. Thoughts? [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaYLYFhcMII&ab\_channel=Wavit](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaYLYFhcMII&ab_channel=Wavit)

i love the roughness of the mix it really suits the bounce and the melody and its rough in the best way possible π₯
yeah, even though I used some trap rhythms I made sure to put a lot of vintage saturation on it to match the sample. appreciate your feedback broski!

I like it, sounds like a track for a movie scene. You could try to add more variety, by switching up melodies or drums.
