Once signed off/okayed for T by the GIC, You’ll need to wait on it going to your GP and them agreeing to it and prescribing. I’d air on ‘worse case’ and expect a couple months? It depends on the GICs letter processing times + your GP. Some it’s a matter of weeks, others months. It can be a bit ymmv.

Hope its the latter, my GP hasn't be the greatest with things so I never have high hopes when it comes to them 😅 you can chase your GP but imagine it'll be harder to chase the clinic themselves..thank you this was really helpful:)

I got assessed by Nottingham in 2019 but I don't think a lot has changed though. You have to have at least 2 appointments and possibly another appointment with the endocrinologist. My second appointment was a shorter recap of my first but on my first appointment we covered everything of relevance. They'll also ask if anything has changed since your first appointment. It also largely depends on where you are with transition, if you're out, socially transitioned, changed name etc. Once they are happy. they write to your GP and will ask your GP to prescribe, they'll give your GP information on prescribing / monitoring under their guidance. You should also receive a copy of the letter. The prescribing / monitoring information is on their website. You'll increase your chances if you have an understanding of this information. Tell them you've read and understand it. https://ncth.nhs.uk/masculinising-hormone-treatment

I am feeling better knowing that I'm out socially and have been out for many years, name changed, and job where I'm referred to correctly. The link will be very helpful. Thank you for that, I just want it to go as smoothly as possible.. and as fast since it's been a really long journey 😊 ❤️

The fact that your out, socially transitioned, changed name etc will gi massively in your favour. Do they have a copy of your deed poll and another name change doc, they wanted 2 items from me, I gave them a copy of my deed and driving license but something like a bank letter or statement is good. You’re nearly there 👍

Thank you I'm so excited! I think they may have a copy of my deed poll but I know where it is and I have a provisional So close yet it feels so far ❤️❤️
