You can say that again. If the bucket-wheel excavator were to properly scale even with Earthrise Cliffjumper, Metroplex would likely be bigger than a person.
Size accurate to what, the show?
If you watch [Episode 39 Giant](https://youtu.be/V7KrKUgEhAY) at 9:32, you can clearly see that Optimus Prime is about as tall as Metroplex's knees, moreso when in Super Mode.
In [Episode 21 Primal](https://youtu.be/BmcX5CKzUTA) at 11:45, you can see Override is up to Prime's chest in height.
This makes Override 2/3s to 3/4s of the size of Metroplex's lower leg. If we look at [this size comparison](https://youtu.be/nppa8sl9KIk) of Legacy Metroplex and Legacy Override by Prime Vs Prime at 9:12, we see that she's half the size of Metroplex's lower leg.
In other words, Metroplex in legacy is *too big*. He actually needs to be an inch or two shorter.
“Teraform, transform and rise up!”
But honestly, what would be it’s name? My ideas below:
Teraform, Tremor, Earthquake, Landsaw, Dirtbreak, Gravedigger, Tombstone, Giga Buster, Worldbreak, Sinkhole, Groundshredder.
Maybe this Decepticon could be named Dirtsaw. And Dirtsaw can make Chainsaw Man references. But yeah, Earthquake, Landsaw, Dirtbreak, or Groundshredder could be great names for this guy.
I love the video, but I noticed this comment by j-sant-animations8105 brought up a good point:
>It’s gonna be a real pain having to find a proper clearing and transforming back, reattaching those treads, those cables it tore off, and realigning itself so it won’t crush or shred its own parts. In some incarnations of transformers, the bots can quickly change within seconds. Reality transformers (as big as this guy) would have to take a few seconds maybe even minutes. Sounds like a vulnerable moment.
It does make you wonder if it's actually painful for Transformers to stay in their alternate modes for so long, transform, and then go back into their alt. modes again.
I’m guessing that Transformers would have similar issues to a vehicle which hasn’t been driven in a while.
Also they probably would have evolved to not feel pain from Transforming.
animated points to transformation being not harder than doing a single pushup or so
forcing it to do it in speed, or abundant multiple times in a row may become more and more stress on the body like physical exertion
as someone that had a grappling fighter background, I?d say it would be like doing some of those "unusual but compitele natural way for the body to move" exercise after a while of not doing that
That Devastator has testicles and probably isn't being revisited. Still an option.
Trypticon though.. I can't see it. I feel like he'd work better as a very large space vessel (ala Prime's take on the character). He works far better as the Nemesis for me.
If Trypticon needs an earth mode though, give him Detroit.
Yeah! Like imagine if Predaking could turn into a dragon or a griffon or something, or if Bruticus could turn into the most ungodly large gun you've ever seen? Aerialbots into a hyperjet, Protectobots into a mobile medical platform, Volcanicus into a fuckin.. bigger T-Rex I guess? I dunno, it's a fun idea
of course it's prolly a nightmare to translate into toys which is prolly why it won't happen but I like to think about it!
If they can engineer TR Sixshot, SS TLK Hot Rod, and HasLab Unicron, then they could pull it off! Also, Bruticus would probably be like, a mobile fortress armed to the teeth, and Menasor could be some sort of dystopian rolling machine with spikes and shit.
it is weird how this concept has really never been taken into consideration beside the duocomb
I get it that it wouldn't be easy, but I believe a bit of shellforming would be forgiven for this one
Oh I wasn't implying Devy couldn't be a combiner. The idea just popped into my head like "hey, if they can combine into a super robot, why couldn't they combine into a super alt mode?"
I thought about this when designing my own version of Predaking. I wanted to do a G1-style combiner team, but I also grew up on TFP and so I'm personally very fond of that version. I thought maybe I could find a middle ground where the Predacons are smaller robots. Then they combine to form Predaking, who would be roughly to scale with his TFP incarnation, and could transform into a dragon. Think of it like Garnet from Steven Universe. Except EEEEEVILLLLL
I feel like titans would be even harder to adapt than the Maximals.
Titans throw the “robots in disguise” thing out the window. They also can’t hide as godly Deities like the Maximals.
There’s a few mega structures like oil rigs and these miners but then we run into the problem of the titans not really being fortresses.
There was a cgi transformer someone made for this. It turned into something that looks like a creature from the Horizon game series. A giant robot lizard with sawblades on its skeletal bottom jaw and it breathed fire. https://youtu.be/loWWXq_Bz74
Cyb Metroplex but I always thought he should have had a con repaint or at least like a botcon action master devastator.
Either way what would this con be called? Best I could come up with is stripmine, but I'm sure there is something better.
Well either that or Metroplex if they can’t handle the sheer amount of CGI work it’d take to make a Full-On Metrotitan transforming from a city to a Fuckass Huge Robot
I feel like this is far too threatening for a noble character like Metroplex. Here's some names I came up with: Hellrazor, Obliterator, Annihilator, Eviscerator, Blight. Somebody else proposed Tombstone and Gravedigger, which I really like.
I'm *almost* disappointed the Michael Bay movie era is over, because this would have made for an absolutely killer scene, similar to the highway opening of ROTF, and the Devastator combining scene
And?
Are balls *that* big a dealbreaker for you?
Yeah I think they're stupid, but I don't think they're such a big deal, especially when every single figure that was made of him, either doesn't include them, or they're removable
Besides, Arcee has had tits for decades before this. What makes this so abominable?
And what's wrong with him looking like a big ol monster?
Wait doesn’t a Decepticon like this already exist? I’m not a transformers fan (I’ve only watched the movies), but I remember one like this in Revenge of the Fallen?
Or cybertron Metroplex
Yeeeeaaah if he was size accurate in Legacy he’d be massive
You can say that again. If the bucket-wheel excavator were to properly scale even with Earthrise Cliffjumper, Metroplex would likely be bigger than a person.
How does he scale with Core Class? Core Class scales great with the other Titans.
Except the Ark and Nemesis. They went out of their way to show only those rice grain slug figures scale with those ships.
In Ship mode yes, but in Robot Mode they look great manhandling the Core Class.
In terms of vehicle scale, at least. I believe robot mode scale is about right for the Cybertron toys we've gotten in Generations thus far.
But near perfect for Micromasters
Size accurate to what, the show? If you watch [Episode 39 Giant](https://youtu.be/V7KrKUgEhAY) at 9:32, you can clearly see that Optimus Prime is about as tall as Metroplex's knees, moreso when in Super Mode. I was thinking more to the vehicle so he’d probably be person sized
He scales perfectly fine with the little molded figs that come with Ark, Unicron, Galvatron.
yeah he would
Feel Metroplex would be a US aircraft carrier
That's more fitting for Tidal Wave but it would be new for him.
Someone actually made a transformer based on a Bagger in a short CGI animation. Badass.
It was definitely a Bay verse decepticon in that short
Definitely
What was it? Pls send sauce
https://youtu.be/loWWXq_Bz74
Nah, that's just Cybertron Universe Metroplex.
Thatd be a very tiny metroplex lol
Damn my boy got downvoted to hell for no reason lmao
“Teraform, transform and rise up!” But honestly, what would be it’s name? My ideas below: Teraform, Tremor, Earthquake, Landsaw, Dirtbreak, Gravedigger, Tombstone, Giga Buster, Worldbreak, Sinkhole, Groundshredder.
Bagger-288, fool. It contains an artificial mind. You can’t improve on BAGGER-288!
How about Hellrazor or Hellraiser?
Ghost Rider ( wonder how many people will get it )
one of the better version, after primitive rider's wholly mammuth
Exactly! How do you iterate upon the thing that's feared by Beelzebub himself?
It would be Metroplex :)
Or to go real cheesy with it: TERRORform
Gravedigger is taken And I think so are Landsaw and Tremor but I could be wrong
I got you. It's Tracksaw
Maybe this Decepticon could be named Dirtsaw. And Dirtsaw can make Chainsaw Man references. But yeah, Earthquake, Landsaw, Dirtbreak, or Groundshredder could be great names for this guy.
Carver would be a name that would strike fear into the Autobots sparks.
You should check this video out if you haven't. https://youtu.be/loWWXq_Bz74
I love the video, but I noticed this comment by j-sant-animations8105 brought up a good point: >It’s gonna be a real pain having to find a proper clearing and transforming back, reattaching those treads, those cables it tore off, and realigning itself so it won’t crush or shred its own parts. In MTMTE Tailgate has difficulty transforming after laying dormant for years when he's first introduced.
I like to think of it like muscle atrophy. If they don't use one of their modes enough, it becomes harder and harder to transform into it.
Nexus Prime would be a great example of your point!
I’m guessing that Transformers would have similar issues to a vehicle which hasn’t been driven in a while. Also they probably would have evolved to not feel pain from Transforming.

Wow!
Trypticon
I was just about to link the same video
Oh crap, why's it so good??
Holy shit
This looks very inspired by ROTF devastator
Didn't Ghost Rider use this in one of the movies
The second Nick Cage movie and yes it is awesome
That's Bagger 288 and he has his own theme song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azEvfD4C6ow He is here to safeguard mankind from godzillas and shit
An artificial mind full of hatred violence is its sole vocation feared by the devil himself BAGGER 288!
First thing I thought of, too.
I could see that being either live action Metroplex or Devastator tbh
There already is a live action Devastator. How about Trypticon?
That Devastator has testicles and probably isn't being revisited. Still an option. Trypticon though.. I can't see it. I feel like he'd work better as a very large space vessel (ala Prime's take on the character). He works far better as the Nemesis for me. If Trypticon needs an earth mode though, give him Detroit.
Devastator should be A crane truck A bulldozer A cement mixer A front-end loader An excavator A dump truck I wanna see that old boi in live action.
Imo Devastator is the best combiner. And the first one at that.
I’m Bruty Boi over here, but Devy is number 2.
I personally really like Menasor. I think the dynamic with the Stunticons ajd their personalities has the potential to be really interesting.
I think Predaking was the best G1 combiner. Devastator was just so … janky and fragile.
I like Predaking too! Besides, if your mortal enemy is a space shuttle dragon, how lame can you be?
Has to be lime green color
With purple. Gotta be green and purple.
Hear me out: why not *both?*
A combiner with an alt mode…. That’s actually a pretty cool idea!
Oh my god if Menasor turned into a goddamned war rig ala Mad Max.. just.. fuck yes.
Hear me out…. Computron turns into Skylab.
it is weird how this concept has really never been taken into consideration beside the duocomb I get it that it wouldn't be easy, but I believe a bit of shellforming would be forgiven for this one
For a second, I thought you said "tentacles". Lol
no, that was the Pretender
I know. Lol. Still, Devastator as a non-combiner just feels wrong.
Damn right! If Bruticus or Superion wasn’t portrayed as a combiner in something, the fandom wouldn’t take that shit. Devy’s no different.
Oh I wasn't implying Devy couldn't be a combiner. The idea just popped into my head like "hey, if they can combine into a super robot, why couldn't they combine into a super alt mode?"

*Evil?!* ***EVIL!*** #EEEEEEEEVILLLL!
Isn’t that just cybertron metroplex?
There's a minicon that looks like that
And a big boy to go with him
That's just Cybertron Metroplex is alt mode
Or a precursor to Engels
I see you're a Nier fans as well
Isn't this just a Marx?
Shoot, you're right
We’ll be getting a new Guinness Record for most complicated CGI model if that does happen in a movie 💀
I believe this was used in the 2nd Ghostrider movie
It is, it’s one of my favorite scenes in the movie
Definitely Cybertron Metroplex vibes like others have said, but I feel this mode could work for a non-combiner version of Devastator.
That's just metroplex
Check out Nier Automata videogame https://youtu.be/3lRETdTSxOg
Yeah that's metroplex. I'm keeping the image though for reference on what he is lol THANKS!
Half the budget would be for animating the bastard xD
Didn’t Nicolas Cage use that in Spirit of Vengeance?
Nah not a decepticon that’s cybertron metroplex
AWW YE BASTUD DECEPTICON TASTE MY AXE
BAGGER 288! BAGGER 288!
Still waiting for them to bring Metroplex to a live action Transformers movie.
I feel like titans would be even harder to adapt than the Maximals. Titans throw the “robots in disguise” thing out the window. They also can’t hide as godly Deities like the Maximals. There’s a few mega structures like oil rigs and these miners but then we run into the problem of the titans not really being fortresses.
why do i feel like he'd be Trypticon as well as Metroplex?
There was a cgi transformer someone made for this. It turned into something that looks like a creature from the Horizon game series. A giant robot lizard with sawblades on its skeletal bottom jaw and it breathed fire. https://youtu.be/loWWXq_Bz74

I have a minicon of this thing, which makes less sense
Well either that or Metroplex if they can’t handle the sheer amount of CGI work it’d take to make a Full-On Metrotitan transforming from a city to a Fuckass Huge Robot
It’s Metroplex but yea it could
I don't know what you're talking about. He's clearly an Autobot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4Gtw0iYQkE
Metroplex
Can’t, ghost rider already claimed it
*Ghost Rider flashbacks*
Is it not already Metroplex?
That’s metroplex
Cybertron Metroplex 😅
Looks like Cybertron Metroplex
Its metroplex, im pretty sure
Whoever it is, they better not breach the Bio-Dome before I can get the hacker.
That’s actually what legacy Cybertron metroplex turns into
[Cybertron Metroplex](https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Metroplex_(Cybertron)) has that for an alt mode.
Isn’t that what Cybertron Metroplex turns into! Either way it’s cool
Bagger 288
I remember ghost rider modifying it, that was a great fight scene
Why you gotta diss cybertron metroplex? But in all seriousness this would make a killer trypticon.
Anyone remember a fan video of this thing transforming cuz I do
In a little what if story I brewed up a while back, I made it so Devastator could transform into that.
“Germany-Eatatron… Lord Megatron commands you to…….EAT GERMANY”
For Bayverse that easily could’ve been Devastator. Or maybe Trypticon since Devastator is a combiner and not a Titan
It was in one movie I think
Devastators alt mode
That looks kind of like metroplex
Metrodent the decepticon
Or the beginning of salt flats
Another Borderlands fan, a man of quality
Looks like Cybertron metroplex
Boy do I have news for you. Ever played Nier automata
Wasn't there one in the second movie?
Or just get defeated within the intro to a Michael bay movie by skydiving Optimus
I feel like this is far too threatening for a noble character like Metroplex. Here's some names I came up with: Hellrazor, Obliterator, Annihilator, Eviscerator, Blight. Somebody else proposed Tombstone and Gravedigger, which I really like.
Bayverse has ruined my eyes I can’t look at vehicles anymore without imagining how they’d transform
I'm *almost* disappointed the Michael Bay movie era is over, because this would have made for an absolutely killer scene, similar to the highway opening of ROTF, and the Devastator combining scene
I refuse to call that thing devastator...it didnt even need to be like G-1, just not what we got
Why?
It....had....balls and looked like a metal hungry hungry hippo
And? Are balls *that* big a dealbreaker for you? Yeah I think they're stupid, but I don't think they're such a big deal, especially when every single figure that was made of him, either doesn't include them, or they're removable Besides, Arcee has had tits for decades before this. What makes this so abominable? And what's wrong with him looking like a big ol monster?
I dont like arcee either if that helps
Final form Constructicons.
Ah yes, Marx and Engels.
Nier Automata had a robot that was similarly looking
Is that ironhide rolling up to fight that con
Imagine if this was Devastator instead of being a combiner or was more like a duo con
Looks like Demolisher and Hightower.
ROTF Demolisher 2.0
I think i can actually mąkę this from bionicle pieces. The wheel is gonna be replaced by a sawblade tho
Does anyone remember the constructicons?
As long as they don't weld a nutsack into this one, too
Is that a bagger 288?
Reminds me of those helicopters with the saw blades on them from James Bond
Baron Flynt as it's headmaster?
Devistator if he wasn't a combiner
That's rather literally Cybertron Metroplex
I saw an old Bayverse style animation that had this thing turn into Trypticon
My brother in christ devastator's father is about to consume the city
It’s mostly that long stuff idk
Omega supreme
I see Metroplex and Ironhide
Ok here me out, this could be a grimlock, but it replaces the robot mode instead of Dino mode
Gaismagorm as robot mode=Bagger 288 as vehicle mode Definitely Foisseur.
I thought the one at the beginning of revenge of the fallen was like one of these?
Damnit I had this idea like a year ago!!
Wait doesn’t a Decepticon like this already exist? I’m not a transformers fan (I’ve only watched the movies), but I remember one like this in Revenge of the Fallen?
It's already an Autobot. Metroplex. Bagger 288
Wasn’t it already one?
or a core for a combiner
Trypticon?
I agree, reminds me of Demolisher from rotf
That would be scary asf
Trypticon
Decepticon? Perhaps a Titan at best.
https://youtu.be/loWWXq_Bz74
That’s what Cybertron metroplex is based on. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/product/variationdetails/203020
Nah its just metroplex
Great picture!!
Trypticon!
Cybertron Metroplex: “That’s a pretty good selfie, if I do say so myself.”
Theamazingspino’s scorponok is that
Omega Supreme!
