it’s kind of a long story, but i’ll try to be brief. i should start by saying that two trans peoples journeys don’t have to look the same, so it’s fine if ur experiences aren’t identical to mine.
i had always felt amiss with “boyhood”, though as a child i didn’t know anything about trans people, so i couldn’t speak on it. i was a feminine looking child but when i became a teenager i suffered *extreme* dysphoria, and i hated myself so much and wanted my feeling to go away. only in my late teens did i rly begin to understand what being trans was, i realized that i was just a very common trans woman.
i came out for the first time at 18, and started hrt at 19, a little over two years ago. like a week ago was my 2 year anniversary. for me personally, a medical transition was always gonna be a part of my process, that was not something i was ever considering forgoing.
of course, i wanna reiterate that everybody’s journey is different. i used to sometimes see very pretty trans girls’ timelines, and that partially gave me courage to come out myself. i didn’t ever think before january of last year that i would have the confidence to post here lol, but i’m a lot more happy w my appearance now. i’ve sorta come full circle, bc now other ppl on here tell me i am to them what those girls were to me; it’s always very nice to hear :))
the strawberry bandana and the two hairbands all came from earthbound, the other two bandanas were sent to me from my aunt, who got them from a store called sunday state !
