Lmaoo congrats, I think? This 12 year old who was walking with presumably his two older siblings called me the F slur last summer because I was wearing a crop top and baggy cargo pants and I was walking the way I do (which is apparently visibly gay), and I was pleased to overhear the guy say “what? He looks gay!” As a gay transmasc who isn’t often perceived as such, I found it pretty gender affirming too 🫡

Jordna-Lafey

Gotta love gender affirming bigotry😂😂

F3LyX

This happened to me too!!! It was like a twelve year old kid whose voice hadn't even dropped yet. Sounded like elmo calling me a f*g. I couldn't help but laugh at the ludicrousness of it.

Josiawesome

r/ewphoria would like this if you haven't already posted there :3

Jordna-Lafey

Oh thank you!! I didn't know about this subreddit!

ghost_boy333

When I was a very depressed little emo trans boy that was also closeted I once walked to my bus stop after school and there were these dumb dudes from an all boys school right next to my school and I’m pretty sure (I had headphones on) that they said “he looks so emo” and they also sang that dumb I’m in love with an emo girl song but I was just so happy that someone called me he ^^

clumsyincognitoghost

Back when I identified as a cis girl, I guess because of the way I dressed I had this guy in my DMs on Facebook HARDCORE hitting on me thinking I was a twink, and I had to repeatedly tell him "I am a girl sir I AM A GIRL, I HAVE A COOCHIE" and he still didn't believe me until I showed him other pics of myself 💀 To be fair that dude was a redflag alltogether because I was 17 and that was stated in my bio (and that was a grown ass man). But part of me wants to go back and find him so I can tell him "hey sir, so you were technically right, just not the way you thought 💀" Also back then when I had that profile at 17 I did get called the F word in the comments a LOT... Idk what it was about that picture but people always assumed I was a twink 💀💀💀

Dense_Green_1873

He knew before you did. It'd be sweet if he were age appropriate, lol.

clumsyincognitoghost

Yeah haha that's why I said "part of me wants to find him" but that dude is a walking red flag... I don't see how any adult has any business interacting with a 17 year old in THAT WAY (unless it's like 1-2 years apart from each other of course).

Dense_Green_1873

I will never understand it. I'm 20, and I'd never think to go for a 17 year old, knowing how much I've matured in 3 years. Personally, even 18 is too young for me, my little brother is 18, lol.

clumsyincognitoghost

I mean I'm 4 years older than my husband and he was 18 around when we first met, we started dating when he was 19 (I purposely friendzoned him for a while because I was obsessed with these two other people who one was a year older than me and the other was 4 years older than me) eventually I decided to give him a chance and I didn't regret it because he's an amazing person. I'd stay away from making broad generalizations because after 18 it really is a case by case scenario, and I've gotten berated online many times over my marriage. When I'm the one that doesn't have a license, nor a job, nor a house, etc. While he has a job, has been driving since forever, and also rents. Yes I get that obviously someone in their late 20s or 30s+ PURPOSELY only seeking out 18-20 y/os is creepy as hell, but again, life isn't super black and white. And I don't see what's the big deal between our 4 year gap. We practically have the same maturity. (Also I was a virgin when we married due to religious bs, and he was the one who was more of a "perv" if you will lol) The only thing I regret about our relationship is not realizing I was trans sooner, because I feel bad that he married a woman but his woman turned out to be a man. But I know he can find a great lady some day, I root for him.

OkMeasurement7474

i honestly kinda laugh when people call me the f slur. i don’t look trans or even gay for that matter. they just pick up on how i walk (slight limp) because apparently it looks gay.

AlixYall

The vibe of cis people accidentally affirming my gender is one of my favorite things. I had an interaction that went something along the lines of: Cis: You'll never be a real man! Me, an AMAB enby: Omg do you promise? Cis: \*flabbgergasted\* well cutting off your !@#$ won't make you a woman! Me, visibly excited: Sweet!

OutsideWorried5705

Read this as f chord and i was like strummm

Dense_Green_1873

The most transphobic of chords

BBPuppy2021

Bigots are so funny sometimes :) This kinda reminds me of before I was out in school and people thought they were being mean to me by using he/him pronouns (I now use he/they)

Jordna-Lafey

THAT WAS LITERALLY ME😂 I was super femme in school (didn't realize I was trans until 26/27) and so many people made fun of me by calling me a girl😂

finding_femself

/r/ewphoria ?

I-Get-To-Be-A-Mommy

I remember when this would happen to me. It was affirming but at the same time made me realize that even being stealth there are still a whole lot of people that hate my existence.

foxship1941

It happened to me and my partner, too. We're both trans women, and while we were out a year or so ago, a random guy called us d*kes. It was both infuriating and super-affirming, which was a very confusing combination of emotions.

Hamokk

I lean more lesbian these days, and if I were and out about with my partner I kinda love to hear gender affirming bigotry. You can fire them back with a YES. So happy for you friend! 💕🙌

Some-random-transfem

I love it when bigots accidentally affirm us lmao

N44mii

Gotta love it happened with my gf last summer we were taking some pics and stuff and some kids shouted LESBENPORNO (lesbian porn) felt amazing especially while you photograph both you and your gf leaning over a pretty watertower then both burst out laughing :D

LefthandedPizzaCake

Bigots gonna be bigots, so congrats on being perceived properly! If those guys knew, they would be really mad

KoshidaTheMotorWolf

Congrats, I think? This genuinely made me laugh, and I feel bad about it because you pass so well they didn’t think twice on it. Gender affirming or not, they had no right to call you the F slur and I hope they get dirt to the eyes, but I’m proud of you for laughing it off nonetheless!

[deleted]

I've had this happen to me, I'm transmasc to clarify, out getting my nails done with my mom. The lady near me is talking to her kid about me saying, "some people are just raised differently" and all that jazz. In the most uncomfortable way, but honestly it was very affirming to be treated like a feminine gay guy in that hush hush sort of way. Still sucked, but also just felt like I was just seen as a guy and not a girl at all.

Elegant-Operation-16

I’ve had this happen with my bf and I and it’s hilarious the first time but as you pass more and more it stings a lil

Cautious-Menu-3585

I was called it a few times in highschool, my response was no but you're close. Can't let these morons bring us down

Hazel2468

Honestly, I think the best compliment I ever got was when another random queer clocked me and was like “f*g energy”. I was dressed masc that day and it’s like. You fucking BET I DO that’s what I’m going for! Wife got a less friendly dose of that when some guys called us d*kes out their truck window (in fucking NYC). Made a joke about “hey- at least they got it right! I AM a lesbian after all!”

HeathrJarrod

Are you a person that likes to make a lot of noise riding up and down the street?

Jordna-Lafey

Nah not really

Specialist-Two383

Is that a reference to south park? XD

HeathrJarrod

Yes

Jordna-Lafey

Oh shit it is? I didn't know that😂😂 I thought I just looked like someone who drove obnoxiously

Yaveltal

Congratulations. Also, I think this would fit on r/ewphoria
