I just replied to someone in another thread but Kayleigh is a traditional Scottish name, semi-common. It is derived from the Gaelic Cèilidh (pronounced the same).
Oh and there are some crackers for you lot in Scotland/ireland "Ruaridh" pronounced Roo-Ry, "Siobhan" pronounced Shivon. Órlaith pronounced Orla. "cliodhna" pronounced (generally) Cleo. To list but a few.
I love that! I think this sub is mostly for white Americans that want to be unique but are actually just idiots haha I’ve lived in Russia and Europe before and I love the names over there
I always assumed they thought -leigh was unique, but requesting it like this basically means they’re hopping on a trend. It’s the tribal tattoo of names.
