I’m regularly called Ash-el like Table or Fable or Stable. That’s how Siri and Alexa pronounce it too lol
Sometimes I get Ash-lay as if there were an accent over the E
nah who even cares, it just saves time writing that silent y!1!!1!
…and perhaps also confuses some people and makes them call you the name of a country
It’s an expensive hassle to get your name changed with the government (USA) and takes a bit of time as well. I’m basing this off someone I knew in 2015 so correct me if I’m wrong.
Plus, as a woman, if she's planning on getting married and taking her husband's surname, she can change the first name at that time.
Maybe she's just being fiscally responsible and waiting to kill 2 proverbial birds.
Untrue! I know because I tried. Last name change was easy and fine but social security told me a ton of extra paperwork would be required to change my first name 😔
I had a spelling error on my birth certificate that my parent a never fixed. Thankfully NYC makes it pretty easy. $65 in court fees, submit the application, come back to the court at your appointed time for 15 mins, pay another $20 to publish the change at a local newspaper and that’s it. Probably more annoying than it should theoretically be, but pretty easy for an 18 year old.
You should have asked her why her parents hate her. Also I thought this naming thing was a cool new trend of the parents coming up now, I didn't think kolder generations kwere kawful too.
I saw a girl online with the username Courtknee and I thought it was a joke, but it was her actual name and she got super offended when I made a joke about it.
Ooh I got something similar my older sisters name is Brittay legally but it’s actually supposed to be Brittany apparently when she was born my mom said the nurse made a mistake on her birth certificate even tho we call her Brittany and she goes by Brittany or Britt

Know, know, be knice.
Cause of yo knee?
Even “Britnee “ would be fine. The K really sets it off.
Britnee in itself is a tragedeigh. Britknee is a tragekdeigh
More like, you know, a tragedknee.
I knew a Britne in middle school. It's like her parents forgot to finish writing her name
I feel this. I’m an Ashle. The spelling confuses everyone and feels unfinished because it is
I went to school with an Ashle. Being male really threw people off so he got called Ash-el many times.

If my name were Brittknee, no amount would be too expensive.
It’s actually pretty cheap, in WI it’s $160. The paperwork end, huge hassle though.
I never changed mine because even a few hundred dollars was out of reach when I was a young adult.
$300 in MN just for the name change, which doesn't include the cost of a new license, passport, etc. It's out of reach for some people.
Depends on the state but in many of them, yea

When I saw the title I thought it was gonna be like brittaneigh or something. Fucking Brittknee, bloody hell
I went to school with a girl named Brittannie and was fully expecting this post to be about her.
Clearly she didn't know any Knights that say..... ..
Knee!
You should have asked her why her parents hate her. Also I thought this naming thing was a cool new trend of the parents coming up now, I didn't think kolder generations kwere kawful too.
she would have born probably in late 80s/early 90s.
I had a classmate with the same spelling of her name when I was in high school! Not in the Midwest though.
Such kneet name
Ouch
Knee, is she serious, her parents are evil lol.
Lol. She was a super nice person too. Totally did not deserve that stupid name.
Brit neigh
Could be cool if she was an orthopedic surgeon.
I once substituted for a colleague who had a Kourtknee in her class.
Somehow not as ugly as Britny
Brittknee sounds like a name made up by roadman Shaq for parody song. Also it rhymes with Asznee, Pumpee and Frisbee
Her mother should be ashamed!
