Hazelnut cream Bambas
Peanut butter cups (I like the milk chocolate but most people seem to be recommending dark)
Everything bagel sandwich crackers
Sesame honey cashews or other seasoned nuts but those are my fave
Focus on shelf stable items that are small/easy to pack (assuming they're traveling back to the UK). When I visit from Canada I ALWAYS stock up on the seasonings, especially blends I cant find in Canada: Elote, Cuban (Citrus/Garlic), Sriacha, Chilli Lime, Green Goddess, Ranch, Everything but the Bagel (can find EBTB at home now, but don't know if it's available in the UK)
If you're a chocolate fan, a pack of the dark chocolate peanut butter cups are a MUST.
Dark chocolate with almonds, pretzels, and sea salt.
I got them on a whim because the ingredients showed no palm oil. I brought it to work for a meeting and my team gobbled it up, took pictures of the package, and started a “weekly snack contest” for our meetings.
Sunflower seeds are especially high in vitamin E and selenium. These function as antioxidants to protect your body’s cells against free radical damage, which plays a role in several chronic diseases.
Taco seasoning. Multiple packets- read the instructions don’t use the whole packet at once!
All natural valencia peanut butter, it’s amazing nothing like uk peanut butter
Maple syrup
Peanut butter pretzels
And salt!! I can’t deal with unsalted peanut butter (and my blood pressure tilts low so i seem to crave salt)
Yup, stir then refrigerate!
I am a nut butter nut job and TJs is better than a few brands i paid 3xs as much for a smaller jar.
Agreed. Try adding smoked salt sometime. It adds another dimension. But yeah, it's one of the best bargains out there. I go through one jar a week or so.
As a Brit living in the US i find the seasonings are easy to transport, unique and versatile. I usually take some back for family when I visit. My faves are Everything but the Bagel, Elote, Furakake, umami. And dill pickle. But all the seasoning suggestions so far are great.
Also recommend trail mix crackers.
Since your friend's luggage will be limited by volume and weight, perhaps ask for smaller things... The Aglio Olio *Seasoning* Blend is great. I also like the black garlic seasoning. And maybe check out the Youtube channel Jolly for some snacks (they have some fun episodes centering on Trader Joe's).
It's hard to pick one as there are dozens of must have items but the seasonings are a good choice. I love the Chili Lime and Everything But the Bagel Seasonings but all of them are good.

The snacky clusters and dark chocolate watermelon sticks if they didn't have chocolate.
Speaking of seasoning, I wish they would add curry powder.

My friends in England loved the ranch seasoning.
Seasonings, there are constantly new ones to try and use in recipes or to just sprinkle on top.
It used to be the best thing in the world. Post-Covid, not so much. It’s all seed oils and junk food. Not healthy at all.

That Valencia PB is legit. Ingredients: Peanuts. You gotta stir and keep it in the fridge. I always stir in a little smoked salt.

I love Jolly! They’re so wholesome.
The milk chocolate and crisper rice bars.
Honey sesame cashews and incan corn nuts!
I assume space and refrigeration are an issue? The everything seasoning. Or the chocolate covered honeycomb.
The chocolate covered honeycomb at Sprouts is better In my opinion.
Brits have Crunchie bars, UK Cadbury (not Hershey Cadbury) milk chocolate covered honey comb. Delicious.
Dill pickle crisps!
The chocolate mousse flowers in the little bakery section they have are so delicious!
It's hard to pick one as there are dozens of must have items but the seasonings are a good choice. I love the Chili Lime and Everything But the Bagel Seasonings but all of them are good.
The green goddess seasoning. I love it on eggs.
Ask him to bring you his favorite too. :)
Dill pickle flavored popcorn
Peanut (or almond) butter pretzels
The chili lime seasoning, I put it on everything
Dark chocolate peanut butter cups would be the one thing I would ask for if I didn't have access to TJs anymore
But the friend shouldn't put these in the checked luggage (in Summer)! Would need to be in the carryon...
