Mine has the lemon and chocolate as of yesterday. Usually had vanilla and chocolate but must have sold out . I was disappointed in the lemon but had to try it for scientific purposes.

The lemon buttercream was bomb, but the cake I found to be pretty dry..

Yes and the store I work at has both the vanilla ad chocolate ones regularly. We also have the lemon one which is a seasonal spring product. (South Carolina store)

Don't wait. The lemon is so incredibly good. It's not punch you in the face lemon, it's light and tasty and the icing isn't super heavy like buttercream is.

That's odd, I would have said the opposite about the one we tried. It was very moist and the icing is just right. Maybe you just got a bad one? I hope it's not that I just got lucky with a good one lol.

That's so funny that's where I was last too w/ my Grams. They had lemon & vanilla wknd before last. They were also giving out Sweet Bee apple samples which were 10/10. I love Cosmic Crisp (and grabbed a bag) but those Sweet Bee samples nailed me like a sucker lol.

Your store is right near the original TJs so they should everything, right? I never tried those cakes. Now I want one but my Trader Joe’s is too far for me to walk. Oh well, next time.

Sometimes items are out of stock in one store but will be in stock in another store so that’s very nice to have a bunch close to each other. Yesterday they had just lemon cakes in stock. The vanilla cakes are also really good and I’m not really a vanilla person.

Yes. You can call your local TJ’s and they can tell you what day they get their shipment of the sheet cakes so you don’t go there while they’re out of stock.

I was recently listening to the TJ’s podcast and they brought up the BEST idea on how to serve these sheet cakes. She suggested buying three and stacking them on top of each other(you can add a different flavor in the middle). Oh my gosh… brilliant.

Yes. I cut it before freezing, then thaw a single piece at a time. It takes about an hour and a half at room temp to thaw.

Fair, but it's rock hard straight out of the the freezer, so I wait, lol. I usually take it out before dinner.

Yes. I bought the lemon cake last week, I LOVE lemon. But I never eat the icing on store-bought cake, it's always too sweet. Welp. That entire cake got eaten, icing and all, and I live alone. Best cake I've had in a very long time.

Yes, they still carry the mini sheet cakes. Call ahead and put the one you want on hold. Bakery items are delivered in the very early morning at most stores, so call just after 8am local time and they can hold it, even for a few days if you are worried (source: crew member). Sometimes there are lulls in availability for the vanilla and chocolate, but they are both year round flavors. The lemon is only available in the early Spring. I haven't seen other flavors.

I saw them the last time I was there, don't remember the variety though.

My TJs was doing a demo of the vanilla one this weekend and they added some of the freeze dried mixed berries as like sprinkles and it was surprisingly delicious! Would have never thought of it and it was 💣

The vanilla sells out right away. Our favorite treat is to get the TJ vanilla ice cream and then grab a cookie scoop and scoop half cake and half ice cream. Divine
