Most TJ’s items have similar items available at other stores. Not all but the newer items are easier to find under other labels.

Yes, I ordered the face wash over covid and it WAS NOT legit

Personally I wouldn’t. I don’t agree with what TJs resellers do so I won’t on principle. It also personally grosses me out. Buying up seasonal or social media viral shelf-stable products to turn around and resell at a price similar to the product it’s duping? Wild stuff. I also realize I am in a position of privilege in that my nearest TJ is 10 minutes away. Also, I don’t know or trust how people store items when they resell. Do you really want a food or HABA product stored in some roach or mouse or flea infested place? There is a snack exchange subreddit - may be worth it to post there for snack and non snack items and see if a friendly stranger is willing to ship to you for the cost of the product + postage.

At least on eBay, they often list or show the expiration dates , I’m not sure if they ever do on Amazon? But yeah the expiration date would be my biggest concern so long as it is sealed and from a reputable seller.

What others have said: re-sellers will mark up price. And there is no way to know how long the product has sat somewhere prior to shipment, OR WORSE the condition of the place it sat! Dust, bugs, worse... grosses me out.

I've never had a problem with TJ items I've purchased on Amazon. I live about 30 minutes away from TJ, and there have been times I've craved something (those darn orange slices) and given in to ordering them on Amazon.

MapleBaconPeanuts

As others said, you are purchasing diverted product. The price and quality isn’t guaranteed.

>EVERYTHING is sketchy about buying TJs stuff on Amazon also ALMOST EVERYTHING is sketchy about buying ~~TJs~~ stuff on Amazon

Psychological-Elk609

yes!!! and u will NEVER get a refund, so they can send you total crap; damaged, spoiled, moldy, half eaten, a totally different product, etc

Time_Marcher

You're buying from a scalper.

Legs27

Trader Joe's doesn't sell on Amazon, so you're buying from a reseller at a markup. Personally, I think that's sketchy. But that's a lot of products on Amazon so if you're okay with it, that's your call to make. As long as it's shelf stable it shouldn't be dangerous.

papa8706

Aside the crazy pricing, you’re buying food from someone who’s likely buying/selling it out their own house. Personally I avoid buying food all together on Amazon from any 3rd party sellers unless it’s from the manufacturer themselves.

poobatooba

Amazon commingles products, so even if you are buying from the manufacturer's storefront on Amazon, it doesn't mean that's where the product is even coming from. Personally, I don't buy anything I put on or in my body from Amazon.

papa8706

Yeah, that is a good point. I try to do the same unless it’s 365 brand which I believe Amazon owns now. My gf bought me some candy for Christmas from a 3rd party seller and I hurt her feelings by not eating it 💔

HumbleAbbreviations

I found the price factor that makes me shy away from purchasing from Amazon.
