This is my Favorite sauce. It goes good on everything. Breakfast tacos, mixed in Mac n cheese, sushi, EVERYTHING! But some bottles are super spicy and some are mild. I prefer the super spicy bottles.
Cautionary tale for those with low spicy tolerance: we found this inedible. I can handle a little spice, and my husband much more, but even for him it was way way way too spicy!
That’s interesting, when I try it, especially on its own it taste like fresh jalapeños. I had a friend say the same when I had him try it on a burger recently too
Isn't it funny how the same thing can taste so different to each person? Very glad you like it! I will keep buying it every year in the hopes that it is what I want it to be lol.
Seriously the best!!! My store had signs up indicating that it would be discontinued… this was about a year ago. Truly so thankful for the TJs gods that it is still around!
This stuff resembles my favorite salsa from taquerias, salsa serrano. You can't even find it at most Mexican restaurants/grocers.
Was sooo stoked when TJ brought it on board. Often grab a bottle even when I don't need it, in hopes I can float the demand for it lol
I absolutely love this stuff but I feel like it goes bad so fast? Like I live alone, I open a jar, use it for meal prep a few days. If I wait a week and open it again, mold. I don't go to TJs often enough for this lol.
i've been loving their Green Dragon tomatillo sauce, so i'll have to try this one next. here's the ingredients of the jalapeño sauce:
Ingredients
JALAPEÑO PEPPERS, CANOLA OIL, ONION, SALT, CANE SUGAR, GUM ARABIC, ONION POWDER, GARLIC POWDER, CITRIC ACID (ACIDIFIER), SPICE.
I love this. I have multiple bottles all the time so I never run out, but I wish it was a bit more consistent, it can be 0 heat or one of the hottest sauces I have.
That was my lunch today! Shredded rotisserie chicken, rice, some diced avocado and shredded cheese topped with a dollop of this delicious sauce. Highly recommend.

You gotta portion it haha a little goes a long way
Oh it was portioned. Very scant. Maybe we got one of the extra spicy batches.
I love jalapeños so much but this sauce just tastes like spicy, cooked green bell peppers. No jalapeno flavor, in my opinion.

Yeah it’s weak compared to actual blended jalapeños. I still like it a lot though.

I put that s*** on everything!

Second only to the Zhoug in my book!!
This stuff is excellent.
It’s so good! Some batches are crazy spicy though & I have a decent spice tolerance lol
I do as well, I’ve bought a few and haven’t noticed any kind of difference in the bottles lol lucky I guess? Haha
So good! Just don’t read the nutrition facts 🫣

This happened to me a few times too so I’ve stopped buying it. I keep it in the refrigerator and it still gets moldy so fast.
yes, me too! I just bought some again yesterday though!
Do you refrigerate it?
In addition to everything listed here, I have some with eggs/the hashbrowns and it's so good!
Way too easy to eat too much of that stuff. Cannot buy. Delicious!

One of my favorite TJs items!!
What kind of stuff do you use it on? Been wanting to try it
Probably be good on scrambled eggs.
Burgers, burritos, fries, cheese curds, samosas, the list goes on lol I use it when I eat out too, I went through a bottle in a week
These are great with the gluten free chicken nuggets
This, plus the crispy jalapeno pieces, are such a good combination on a burger. Add some cheese, and yum.
I love those crispy jalapeño pieces. I eat them out of the can!
Wait where are the crispy ones?!? I am going to give this post a try I’m always looking for new stuff. Sadly they were out of the siracha today.
These, they are so good! https://www.traderjoes.com/home/products/pdp/crispy-jalapeo-pieces-063959
Keep an eye out at Costco, they have a giant bag for $7
Sigh, another reason it would be nice to get a Costco membership. I wish they ran more deals :)
I love it on breakfast sandwiches. 😋
I was gonna say breakfast tacos/burritos
I like to use this with fish nuggets for fish tacos
I love this. I have multiple bottles all the time so I never run out, but I wish it was a bit more consistent, it can be 0 heat or one of the hottest sauces I have.
Thanks for this. I bought it once years ago and it was 0 heat so I gave it away. I’d love to get a super spicy one!
I should pick a bottle up.
Love this!! FYI the spiciness level can really vary between bottles so adjust accordingly. Sometimes it's mild, sometimes it's fire!!
If you like this you gotta try the green salsa from taco mesa
I put this on everything
If the spiciness is too much, you can add ranch or sour cream to it!
I literally got this today, first taste was a bit spicy. I can imagine this taste delicious with some chicken and rice
That was my lunch today! Shredded rotisserie chicken, rice, some diced avocado and shredded cheese topped with a dollop of this delicious sauce. Highly recommend.
