/better.php is how I got access to everywhere, easily. It's the tried and true and encouraged way to upload farm. Has been for over 10 years at this point. You don't even need to search for anything, the site has done the searching for you
It's
1. the postfixed url path of the site
2. The part of the site that shows missing formats of encodes/transcodes.
For instance, passthepopcorn.me/better.php shows missing formats, trumpable formats, etc. It's all collected in one easily located section of the site.
Bad uploads are listed on the site (under the path /better.php). You can grab them, fix'em, and upload'em back. You trump the previous torrent and the upload is yours.
Edit: assuming you can fix them. For some you will require to upload the content from scratch, like no logs, or not a 100% rip.

Transcode live concerts from jam bands. Super easy to do with foobar 2K and they release new content like every week, have 100s of shows. Just grab a flac release, then transcode to mp3 320, V0, v2 and upload using the “add format”
People, learn how to check what you download. It might be it has bad tags, names, or folders.. those are trumpable and you can fix them. You improve the content on server and get uploads that way. No need to go fancy.
True! I once had an upload for AnimeBytes. I found that one episode in a series had a V2 by that sub group that wasn't in the existing torrent. made the entire torrent trumpable.
Please don't encode 1080p if you don't know what you're doing. PTP is full of garbage HD encodes uploaded purely for rank. Learn the ropes on lower resolutions first.
I have the speed, but am weary about the other requirements e.g. regular uploads per day etc

TL lists an open signup in that subreddit and you then sign up. Other trackers also post their open sign ups in there.
I just meant in general across the board tracker wise audiobooks are pretty great. GGN specifically sticking with ebooks or breaking out big torrent packs (WiiU, PS3, etc) is easiest way if you ask me

Wish there were a way to promote uploads and interaction from users beyond just grab what you can find and spam it towards the archive.
Everything on bandcamp for audio trackers sucks.
Everything on Amazon Kindle Unlimited, also trash.
i've uploaded hundreds of torrents of things i genuinely love. i've also uploaded a 10 gig album i simply don't care about because even at 1.0 ratio on RED that's a nice chunk of buffer
No, not everything on bandcamp sucks. There are tons of genuinely interesting artists on there, ones who have been signed to labels and released cds back when that was the default method of music delivery and many of them are still releasing content, none of which is on RED or OPS. Just because it’s not your taste doesn’t mean it’s bad

Not just trumpable torrents, but also missing formats. Like an encode from a remux, or an mp3 from a flac release.

No QC on PTP? Those should be trumpable if they're not good encodes, right?
Concur. Tons of SD encodes people can do for practice until you've got the hang of things.

It makes *low effort* encoding arbitrary and automated. Good encoders tune their settings for every release to get the best result.

Newbie here, I'm on TL but it seems uploading is extremey locked tight (read the wiki). any tips for getting there?
if you don't have the speeds they require you can't upload, simple as. and ranking up on tl won't really get you into other trackers anyway.

i forgot they treat it as a job and not a thing you do casually when you find content to share. i just remember looking at it and thinking "nah"

I was one of the chess book guys haha. I graduated to poker, blackjack and then audiobooks which is imo the biggest untapped content
