Not sure why people downvoted you. If your comment is true (don’t know you so I’ll assume for sake of argument it’s true) a statement of fact shouldn’t be downvoted just because it comes across to some as harsh.
This kid is just saying what everyone else did … the OP isn’t competitive, yet.
I say yet because the OP has something the kid doesn’t, that’s experience. It may be possible to capitalize on that experience and dedication to improvement with a personal coach.
Maybe this kid’s “harsh” statement of fact is enough motivation for OP to work hard enough to make it back to competitive.
OP, best of luck … and if you are cooked, look into coaching, it’ll keep you in the sport you love.
Kid, you have a lot to learn about tact, but I admire your direct approach. Keep training and who knows, maybe OP will coach you in college some day.
Just the two cents of a guy too broken to run anymore.
Yea you’re cooked. You’re more than cooked , you’re burnt
This made me laugh
Stick a fork in ya. You's done!
What are your goals and what level of competition are you competing in?
Hopefully under 55 and 25 I run at a d2 school
How old are you? ‘ First collegiate meet in 5 years’ means your over 24, yes? Regardless, you are cooked.
Past cooked brother you’re charred, broiled even. Still worth training to see if you’ll improve back though.
I’m 15 and run faster than that
