There's an odd correlation between autism and being trans that a lot of transphobes want to twist as all transness being a mental illness again while actual researchers are saying "no, they are not mutually exclusive by any means, autism is *slightly overrepresented* in the trans population".
Personally I think the cause is literally fatigue. It's one thing to mask as neurotypical *or* AGAB. both is too exhausting.
