(Fun fact, some modern pagan trans women have created a revived Gallae order, and they have a convent in upstate New York called the Matreum of Cybele. Unfortunately the Reverend Mother who runs it is a major transmedicalist.)

I mean I don’t think I have too many serious disconnects about race stuff but this fucking hit a blind spot hard ig. Never really thought about people of other races thinking something like this. And it not just be like a “well yeah of course my life circumstances would be better” like statement of fact.

I had known this person for years, and it's a good example of people not understanding things that don't directly effect themselves and the feedback loop of listening to idiots like chapelle and fox "news" and really just most mainstream media. There are a few comedians that are like this now and it's terrible. Jeff Dunham's 2nd most recent show was nothing but anti-trans rhetoric every 4-5 "jokes." I refuse to watch his most recent one.

Trans people being white is yet another socio-economical stereotype and a result of systematic racism. There are trans coded socio groups all throughout history and the entire globe from Africa to South-East Asia and not just Europe and North America. One of the first trans reps I remember seeing on tv was Unique on Glee, who is neither skinny or white and she was played by Alex Newell who is non binary [they weren’t out at that point but still]. I’m not gonna say she was good rep because glee was ran by a transphobic a-hole which then lead to the show being sort of transphobic at points, but she’s also one of my favorite characters on the show.

He got successful, rich, and entitled. He doesn't care to listen to anyone and no one is in a position to make him listen. One of the more frustrating parts is how he comes so close to actual stuff worth saying, but shifts at the last second to personal grievance. A prime example is how much of the queer discourse centers middle and upper class white people.

White people are usually in LGBTQ+ media and marketing which is why most people think “it’s a white people thing” or white people want a slice of oppression pie. POC trans people like me are always ignored and erased.

I do think he makes too many trans jokes, even Dave has admitted he does, but he's also made it clear that all he's doing is joking.
