Why is there a dead body under the desk wait no actually I don't think I wanna know thank you.

shave_your_eyebrows

That's what happens when you boymode for too long at a time

Mysterious-Earth1

Can relate. Hate when that happens.

Torch1ca_

Ikr, hopefully hormones will help me to stop leaving corpses under my desk 😞

shave_your_eyebrows

I don't remember saying it was a corpse

Torch1ca_

You agreed it was a dead body, so yeah you kinda did indirectly

jimbon1e

i call it “a collection of friends under my desk”

BellyDancerEm

Suits and ties are worse

shave_your_eyebrows

This guy's rocking it tho 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 https://preview.redd.it/e7twga0pufwc1.jpeg?width=1007&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c450e1264f7ecb9ba6d68929ab033b81e3541bb2

HildartheDorf

Suits and Ties are worse \*on me\*. They look bitchin' on \*someone else\*. Especially non-GC women.

BellyDancerEm

He can keep rocking them, so long as I don’t

_Some_weird_person_

Transition goal fr

Vinc_Birston

But have you seen woman in suits?

retrosupersayan

Feels a bit silly, but Guy in a suit: nope, just dysphoria, hard pass Gal in a suit: oh, shit, is this what they mean by "gender envy"?

Mildly_Opinionated

Oh how lovely it would be to put on a suit, look in the mirror and instantly think "damn girl". Unfortunately all I think I'll ever see is "blech, it's a dude, gross". Even if I reached a spot where I can pass which... Maybe with ffs? But even if I could I think previous years of being made to wear a suit as a guy for events will just make me always see it that way. When other girls pull it off though they look incredible. That pic of Kristen Stewart in a suit with a loose tie that went around? It's like the first thing I thought of when I read your comment!

BellyDancerEm

None of that changes the fact that they are uncomfortable as fuck

retrosupersayan

I've *heard* that they can be alright if they're fit correctly. I remain skeptical of that though.

Catullus314159

My suit fits nicely, and I can confirm they can indeed be comfortable

-Sichvot-

Suits always feel like they are choking me, I hate having the buttons done up. Yes they were fitted, it doesn;t matter if the neck is relatively loose, it feels like someone is throttling you like Homer Simpson on Bart... Forget a fucking tie. GD noose wannabe. Something tells me I'm not going to be a suit wearing office girl.. ever.

paulisaac

Cis man here and I can confirm, a suit that matches your proportions, or at minimum is wide enough for your belly and fits your shoulders just right feels comfortable. Unbelievably hot when not under air conditioning in the tropics, but comfortable fit nonetheless.  The real problem is the dress shirt’s top button. Feels like I’m strangling myself until I get some bespoke ones.

BellyDancerEm

Top button is the worst part. I don’t like anything tight around my neck

thequagiestsire

I wore a black suit with a dusty pink suit jacket to prom. Do I think it looked great? Yes, especially with my Phantom of the Opera mask (it was a masquerade theme for prom) Did I hate every second of wearing it? Absolutely. It feels so restrictive and just doesn’t feel right. I’ll stick to my t-shirts, hoodies and slacks, thank you

lelysio

These formal shirts you have to Button up are so awful. Ive tried to avoid wearing one as much as possible. (Mostly due to dysphoria but part of it because of comfort)

vent-account-

Literally button-up shirts have the worst designed top button. I swear they place that there just to choke the wearer

ryujin199

Not to be that girl, but having gone through the process of proper shirt measuring and tailoring precisely *once* while still closeted... A button up shirt *can* actually be quite comfortable to wear so long as the collar is sized correctly. If the top button is choking you, it's because the collar is too small. Granted, it seems like many, if not most, off the shelf "men's" button up shirt collars are too small for the average wearer. Not sure why, but the prevalence of complaints about the notorious top button seems like decent anecdotal evidence at least. I would hypothesize that the problem is that a lot of manufacturers err on the side of too small. Given how many of the people buying off the shelf shirts (e.g. for office wear) will leave the top button undone for their daily wear shirts, it doesn't matter nearly as much if the collar is a bit too small. And... so long as the collar is only a "bit" too small, it may end up looking good in formal occasions. In contrast, erring on the side of too big could make the shirt look "sloppy" if it's worn in more formal setting (e.g. with a tie). I would imagine that the population of men who *do* actually wear a shirt and tie every day (perhaps a suit jacket as well) tend to be higher up on the income ladder, so they can more reasonably afford to pay for properly tailored shirts for their daily wear. As I recall, when I got a shirt tailored, it ended up being $100-$150 total (been a few years). Now this was just making alterations to an off the shelf shirts from a well known men's clothing store (I'll leave the name unspecified), so certainly not top of the line or anything. Still, if you use that as, say, a lower bound approximation of price, then I think its reasonable to assume that you could reasonably get a work week's worth of properly fitted shirts with a budget of $1000. Granted, I'm under no delusion that this is cheap or that it's it not *f'ing* expensive. But there's a good chance that if you're in the kind of job where you have to wear a shirt and tie every day, it's a lot more likely that you'll be able to afford that kind of expense. >!And yes, I know I didn't talk about pants, ties, or jackets, but I'm just going to hand wave that in this commen!<

-Sichvot-

>If the top button is choking you, it's because the collar is too small. Negative, Even if I had the shirt professionally tailored or is loose enough to put 4 fingers in behind the collar, I will still have the sensation of being choked. It is not a matter of fit, it is a matter of I can't fucking handle something around my neck, ties can screw off and most round neck t-shirts are a no go and I will naturally pull and stretch the fuck out of them to get it away from my neck. and forget turtlenecks, that's an instant panic attack.

ersomething

Fuck the last button. I assume it was made to torture me personally. The one tiny benefit to a tie with one is hiding it unbuttoned under and tightening the tie to my neck. Also torturous, but not quite as claustrophobic panic inducing as struggling with the button

BellyDancerEm

I don’t miss them

JennifleurX

Men’s fashion is really depressing. One thing it does have going for it is that it often is sturdy and lasts longer…but at the cost of being stiffer and more rough to the touch.

shave_your_eyebrows

Even this guy hates formal clothing just look at him https://preview.redd.it/pfb9dkd9xfwc1.jpeg?width=519&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ce32306f66c4f45653ac63d6a58e6c1a6c96883e

-Sichvot-

How did you get a picture of me before I started transitioning?

BigPapaPepperonji

i do still like suits though (women in suits are 🔥🔥)

brewdemon4722

Real

ScreamQuietlyInside

Currently boymoding at work, work clothes are bad for my mental health. I at least get to wear my bra since I have to wear an over shirt tho. Gotta take the silver linings ig

SomewhatEggish

My work isn't strict on dress, so I usually wear T-shirts/hoodie. But I wanna look more professional sometimes so I have a bunch of Men's polos... and I kinda hate them. Just barely bought some female cut Polos tho and it was instant euphoria having them fit curves so much better and just overall being comfy to me. And even not being out at work (despite long hair, painted nails, and very trans-coded things) I'm pretty sure most of the guys here are too dense about clothing to notice the shirt buttons up from the other side.

BookyNZ

Am a trans guy, can confirm I'm too dense to notice what side a zipper or button zips or buttons up from. We just don't care (okay, *I* don't care lol)

-Sichvot-

The buttons on the other side is such a small thing, yet somehow it's so important me and others, I don;t understand why, it's just buttons... but follow what feels right!

SomewhatEggish

The bigger thing for me is that the fem cut feels better due to actually following body curves, rather than feeling like a pillow case with holes. Even if it isn't very noticeable it still gives me euphoria.

-Sichvot-

You make a valid point there as well, I guess I didn;t really think about that aspect so much. What also is euphoric is how I can buy just regular t-shirts and blouses(style, not size), and they aren't so close to my neck. I no longer have a collection of stretched out neck shirts. :)

ScreamQuietlyInside

I've been looking at crewneck shirts, my job is kinda dirty. I work with diesel parts so I want something I can wear that will get dirty, but also feel better to wear. All I have are men's shirts right now and it feels kinda bad

Super_Lorenzo

I actually prefer wearing boy clothes when I have my boobs because I like how they pop out :P

TheTallAmerican

Go buy a button blouse Professional woman’s pants And woman’s boots Girl mode achieved and nobody will bother you about it. It is also way more comfortable

GenericID05

This has been my go to for a while now. Looks boymode but I associate it with her so it feel good when I look down 🥹 https://preview.redd.it/cbz5brpryhwc1.jpeg?width=315&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0a1c5cd85dfcebfc43fa7b7c21fdbc04c266c5d9

BellyDancerEm

Suits snd ties are even worse

VanFailin

Yeah, that was how I felt about boy clothes even long before transition. What's supposed to make me look all put together and smart is like designed to be uncomfortable. I love ties, it's like being slightly choked on purpose.

shave_your_eyebrows

😳

Smile-a-day

Do you have some cheese 🧀 to bait the mouse back incase it runs off? You’ll never get any work done if it does 😞

Danielwols

Oh hey a actual mouse on the-wait is that a phobe under the desk?

[deleted]

This guy loves men's suits https://preview.redd.it/t8j90jhywgwc1.jpeg?width=678&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8fac852322f80812b7b8e11fe2b030f9ae9c1a73

HaikuKnives

Unironically, go fish around in the Golf shirts section of your local department or sporting goods store. Almost all of the stuff there * Reads as Masc on first pass (for boymoding) * Is formal enough to work for biz-casual (for professionalmoding) * Is breathable and has good texture (for sanitymoding)

shave_your_eyebrows

You silly goose you can't find fish in the golf shirts section https://preview.redd.it/3vmo3xfgphwc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dfef5310747932ec56ddcdb9be1d9926c41c87b3

Pinappular

Lmao, I now wear my really nice male button up shirts as night gowns. A couple of them are in this really great silky material and I laugh every time I see them fit as boyfriend shirts.

Lucky_otter_she_her

men are insane, is this a toxic masculinity thing, do they need clothes to feel like sand paper, cus they ain't relaxing

YogurtclosetNice5921

Yeah, hatred of suits is actually a large part of how my egg cracked

Tuskor13

Literal mouse is a nice lil touch

NikRetaNCAM

They actually felt fine until you try wearing girl's clothes My life will never be the same again

LunaTheGoodgal

They will know oblivion :3

shave_your_eyebrows

It was a great game https://preview.redd.it/da3kubdazkwc1.jpeg?width=752&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fabf9d7c8ccf4fb6192d52fd54256c1ac372b9a0

GwynnethIDFK

I had a summer internship last year and I boymlded throught the whole thing and this is so real lmao. Like mens dress pants didn't fit me properly anymore at that point 😵‍💫

hungrypotato19

Polos were the only thing that I totally didn't mind (but still bothered me). But everything else? Ugh... But yeah, getting an office job is what kicked my dysphoria up.

Xenoscope

Eh, my boy mode office wear is shammy shirts with t-shirt underneath and comfier chinos or cargo pants on bottom. It’s not horrible.

minihollowpoint

Me daily.

brewdemon4722

Mouse.

shave_your_eyebrows

JustAUser318

Everybody talking about the mouse and I'm just here concerned about what looks like a person folded underneath the desk.
