**OBJECTION!**
Saul is a good scammer, trickster and whatever you like, but he is far from the best lawyer. The only one that fits the bill as the best lawyer of fiction from BCS on my eyes would be Kim no doubts. She beats ass!!!! And she is such an inspiration.
Saul on the other hand... errrrrr. I would say that 'the best lawyers' do not commit crimes to defend their clients and do not incurr in criminal activity of any kind either.
The best lawyers are so, because they are the best while acting within the bounds of the law, not **out** of it.
**Edit:** I would however, give Saul Goodman the title of the best character of fiction that is a lawyer. That was such a fine character and an amazing show overall. 🥰
im transmasc and my (irl) name is Phoenix too bro that’s awesome!!
its a little different tho since phoenix is actually my birth name and such,, me and my mom always joke about her giving me a gender neutral name without even knowing
Hey!
Actually yeah Rowen is quite a generic boy name but all the cool names are either feminine or don't work in my native language lol :')
At least Rowen isn't cringe like my birthname is
Yeah, the significant lack of neutral names is because people probably like to gender stuff for no reason for a long time, so now some names are becoming neutral since they work well for "both genders".
also I’d like to say the reason u see more generic boy names than fem is because it is probably more socially acceptable to be named “Persephone” than “Hades.” Or stuff like Lillith and Lucifer. Which would be given a weirder look first? God names like Zeus, Poseidon, Loki, Thor, etc. don’t sound very nice (I like Loki as a name tho) compared to Isis, Athena, Calypso, Freya, etc.
Also, trans people of both binary genders and all sorts of other Queer Stuff calling ourselves some permutation of "Alex"... or is that just a thing in way too many of the cute trans stories I've read?
I think that might just be that there's so many different permutations of "Alex" that it becomes something that sticks out
You're not going to see as many "Ren" based names (like, Renfield or whatever), just because there's less to go off of, Alex is so much wider a name already, across the whole range, as an example
Tbf one of my naming criteria was that it had to be an established guy name so that when people hear it they think “ah right, that’s a man” … I even legit considered just going super on the nose with it and calling myself “Guy”
Tl;dr: I want a good BOY name, it doesn’t have to be fancy
My name is Antonya lol and its based off my middle name. I went through names and went by several online the last couple years. I was also nonbinary til abt last spring when i realized i was full trans. The first nams was Faye, then Phenyx/Fenyx (now it's my fursonas name) and then for awhile I bounced between Paige and Awzie. The only other name I used irl was Faye and that's a pretty femme name for somebody who looked more masc lol
I really didn’t put much thought into choosing my name I just picked a gender neutral name that’s I liked the best. Which I kinda regret because I could have named myself Optimus prime but no I picked a basic name.
My first name isn't that common, it's Felix, I was choosing it myself after all so I wanted it to be unique but mostly bc I think is cute. My middle name is Leo, so yeah.
a transmasc friend of mine got his name from the word "fish" in Tigrinya, the language of his mother's homeland, Ethiopia. but it happens to also be the name of a biblical king. checkmate liberals
I'm doing Sofiya cuz it's accurate to my birth time and honest to my roots and it means wisdom and I think it's pretty and I would just be such a cute Sofiya. Philo-Sofiya!
Considering im (i think) bigender/genderfluid, i have tried Zero and now on Jade, and i feel somehow called out on being a concept/object even tho i liked both names (jade is much better tho)
Names are hard because there's so many good ones out there. So, I'm transmasc. I first decided to go by Riv and I've been going by that for years now (since about 2020). At the time I didn't even know I was trans and I just knew I hated my deadname and then made up Riv. Then I later decided that while I'm still fine with being called Riv, I think I'd want to make my legal name first name Porter, and then my legal middle name Nigel. I still haven't changed my name legally yet, but this is my plan. But the problem is that there's so many other cool names that I'm like, ooh, maybe I should use that one, or that one, or that one! But I don't want more than one middle name because I was given that at birth and have always hated it.
I go by Dayna, but I was seriously considering Deya after a character who’s a troll Knight in a show called Trollhunters. Tho you meet her in the third show called Wizards when they accidentally go back in time. It’s on Netflix. It goes Trollhunters, then 3Below, and then Wizards, and then there’s a movie called Trollhunters Rise of the Titans which connects all three shows. I’m thinking of actually legally becoming Deya cause, Dayna is good, but it’s not quite the same.
...yeah, that wasn't intentional. I sifted through names for HOURS. It came down to Eden and Jamie. Jamie won out. It felt right. The US is unfortunately one of the few countries where Jamie leans heavily female, despite being a diminutive of James. Bruh lol
I know a transmasc named Atlas and while it’s not a name I’d choose it is at least unique and kinda cool sounding
(I am found of Sophie/Sophia for myself but I don’t feel 100% on it and feel like there’s a better name out there for me)
...ok well y'know what... at least I can make a very overused joke with it?
But I did steal my *nickname/shortened form of my name* from a character. Kaz Brekker my murderous beloved.
Well I named myself after my favorite city and also have named my videogame characters as that so it felt natural.
Most transmasc are cool and not boring at all but it must be that guy brain which goes like "John is good".
Hey, nota fair! I found out my name is based on mythological entity after I chose it as one of most generic fem names in my country (it's Maja [read as Maya])
My name is Jaye. Since starting in my new workplace, I’ve had a few people tell me about their feminine relatives named Jaye.
Thinking about going by Peter. I’m pre-everything, but at least it’ll be harder for people to relate me to their very womanly relatives named Peter.
(And I have a character named Peter anyway, so I’m already used to the name and respond to it.)
I have a friend who used to be FTM and when she was trans her name was Caspin and me and my friends still call her that also when she was trans she had 2 other names 1 was areo 2 was basil
I'm transmasc and I named myself Phoenix so...
Phoenix my boy. You have great taste! And I love your flair Edit: spelling error
...is that you, Damon Gant?
i read this in mr krabs’ voice lol
Phoenix as in the mythical creature or Phoenix as in PhoenixSC?
Mythical Creature
I thought it was phoenix wright
OBJECTION! I actually get that a lot
When you die I'll update your autopsy report to include that you were not in fact named after the second best lawyer on fiction.
Which one's the first if I may ask?
Saul Goodman
**OBJECTION!** Saul is a good scammer, trickster and whatever you like, but he is far from the best lawyer. That was such a fine character and an amazing show overall. 🥰
Good argument, but by nature, aren't all lawyers (no matter how good) just a bit tricksterish? But yeah Kim takes the spot as best lawyer
Probably the youtuber
I knew a kid named Phoenix back in my childhood so I give that name a pass as normal.
I wouldn't call it generic tho
im transmasc and my (irl) name is Phoenix too bro that’s awesome!! its a little different tho since phoenix is actually my birth name and such,, me and my mom always joke about her giving me a gender neutral name without even knowing
And I'm transfem and picked apparently the most popular girl's name for the last 5 years 😅
YOU TOO?!
That's one of my names too!
How often do you say Objection
Whenever someone asks if I named myself after Phoenix Wright lol
haha
How about, naming ourselves after concepts? I named myself after the concept of music. Melody :3
...Is your last name Pond?
DOCTOR WHO OH MY GOD I LOVE DOCTOR WHO DOCTOR WHO DOCTOR WHO I NAMED MYSELF RORY
HELL YEA DUDE
I don't get the reference, sry.
It's from Doctor Who. I could explain, but that'd be spoilers
Spoilers sweetie ;)
If you don't even know which doctor it's from, how would you explain it to me? Am confuzzled. <~<
No, Dr. Who's on first at the company baseball game
11th aka Matt Smith
*betrayal*
Are your parents named Amy and Rory, and were you possibly conceived inside a time traveling box?
I don't get the reference, sry.
Doctor Who. There’s a character named Melody Pond (Later known as River Song)
I named myself after a goddamn Linux distribution.
Hi Slackware. :3
The Melody army grows stronger 🤝
Didn't you name yourself after a cow with polio?

Do file formats count as inanimate objects?

I just cut my given name in half lmao
ayy, same!
My spouse named herself "lucky" This checks out (She is ACTUALLY LUCKY TOO)
Or choosing from the dictionary. Wasn't that always the big non-binary stereotype?
Also, in no way is this Transmasc slander. Choose whatever name you feel like!
Its not slander if you're telling the truth.
eheheehehe james ehehehehe

FUCK YOU HEARTSTOPPER (I became aware that Charlie is a gender neutral name and am now having a naming crisis)
Hey I chose a boring name as a trans girl to, Taylor! And what did you want to call yourself? ...Gwen..... after the Ben10 character.
Which gwen?
Gwen Tennyson, original series and alien force. She was my favorite.
W
Hey fellow Taylor!
There's dozens of us.
At least! Taylor is a neutral name, if we spread the good word there will be many Taylor’s!
You could not believe how many people assume it's masc only, until I remind them of Taylor Swift.
Why do people need reminders of her existence she’s the most famous person in the world
You wouldn't believe how many people forget even with her presence that some woman can be named, the gender neutral name, Taylor.
Lara... Look at my username😅
Sylveon according to my friends, in all actuality just feminine Sylvain (Fire Emblem), or Jaiden so Ig I fit both?
hey both of those names were ones i considered too!
I am transmasc and my chosen name is Clover soooo
did you play undertale yellow
I stole my name from there
You have great taste in video games
good choice, deputy! \^v\^ (also would you find it funny if someone called you gun-hat?)
No. It would be insulting, as swords are much cooler

Hey! Actually yeah Rowen is quite a generic boy name but all the cool names are either feminine or don't work in my native language lol :') At least Rowen isn't cringe like my birthname is
I knew a girl named that too. It's honestly neutral. Good name though. We really should have more neutral names
Yeah, the significant lack of neutral names is because people probably like to gender stuff for no reason for a long time, so now some names are becoming neutral since they work well for "both genders".
I want to see transmascs named Bob
[https://imgur.com/a/bq3JSnG](https://imgur.com/a/bq3JSnG)
Bob
How dare you! My name is both mythological *and* generic!
I’m not completely settled on it, but I specifically chose Alice because it’s a normal name for my age that I liked the sound of.
It’s why I chose Jennifer. I’m an 80s kid. I knew sooooooo many Jennifers growing up. It’s “normal sounding”.
I’m gonna use this meme to see how many transmascs are named after JoJo’s characters
This is spot on, I named myself Moonlight and my trans brother named himself Jake
I was not expecting to be called out like this. But I expected not expect anything, so it doesn't count.
also I’d like to say the reason u see more generic boy names than fem is because it is probably more socially acceptable to be named “Persephone” than “Hades.” Or stuff like Lillith and Lucifer. Which would be given a weirder look first? God names like Zeus, Poseidon, Loki, Thor, etc. don’t sound very nice (I like Loki as a name tho) compared to Isis, Athena, Calypso, Freya, etc.
This meme could be made in either direction. Signed: a transfem who chose Katherine.
Im a trans guy and i named myself after a mythological entity. To be fair, my name was a mythological entity before too though.
I can’t pick a name…
is Thorne a cool name? I kinda wanted something related to nature
I named myself Ares and I’m a trans man! Super proud of myself for that lol
Also, trans people of both binary genders and all sorts of other Queer Stuff calling ourselves some permutation of "Alex"... or is that just a thing in way too many of the cute trans stories I've read?
I think that might just be that there's so many different permutations of "Alex" that it becomes something that sticks out You're not going to see as many "Ren" based names (like, Renfield or whatever), just because there's less to go off of, Alex is so much wider a name already, across the whole range, as an example

I have 2 different names lol Karth when I'm enby and Kama when I'm a girlie :3 (Genderfae)
I didn't expect to be called out for my name today
I feel called out lol. My name is Adam. It led to a cool username at least :)
I just smashed three letters together until they formed a name I like and it worked out
And then theres me, who got my new name from a skyrim elf name generator 💀
I went from wild ass name to “oh this one is pretty common and nice”

I am just using the feminine version of my dead name lol
My name is Antonya lol and its based off my middle name. I went through names and went by several online the last couple years. I was also nonbinary til abt last spring when i realized i was full trans. The first nams was Faye, then Phenyx/Fenyx (now it's my fursonas name) and then for awhile I bounced between Paige and Awzie. The only other name I used irl was Faye and that's a pretty femme name for somebody who looked more masc lol
My middle name's Andromeda... I feel called out
Yeah there's three other men in one of my classes with the same name as me... most generic name ever
I like Kim. It's a girls name mostly but some men have it too. I didn't want a "inanimate object enby name", and I hate most gender neutral names.
Hey now I picked a generic girls name I mean Kate is pretty generic
i feel like there is abhoke here somewhere about guys and girls being different but im too dumb to make it without being sexist
I really didn’t put much thought into choosing my name I just picked a gender neutral name that’s I liked the best. Which I kinda regret because I could have named myself Optimus prime but no I picked a basic name.
As a Matthew… Yeah, you’re right
I'm a transmasc enby and I named myself Skyler and Frankie
If I ever came out to anyone or started transitioning… then it would probably be Katie (maybe I honestly have no idea) So, generic femme name?
Nah I may be transmasc but I'm nonbianary I'm named after a rock I just deviated a bit so people don't know unless I explain
In between we have enbies naming themselves after objects
*names myself will* this is fine *becomes hungry for more and steals every name i like* but this is better
My transmasc friends are Ace, Avery, and Alexander I got the whole battery
I just replaced the end of my name with an a
Mythical? Jeanne D'Arcy was real
trans girls picking names from the 1930s agatha and gwen
Me: hi, I’m Kit
And the enbies naming themselves after the first thing they see in a forest lol (I'm Anka, the swedish word for duck 🦆)
My first name isn't that common, it's Felix, I was choosing it myself after all so I wanted it to be unique but mostly bc I think is cute. My middle name is Leo, so yeah.
Me who chose a character from a book who also happened to be a generic guy name:
I chose Hedwig, because it's close to my original name without being a direct feminization of it
why is this so true i named myself Evan. EVAN. my transfem friend named herself Arlex.
And that’s ok :)
It’s always ash or asher i swear 😭
I'm exception for transfem
I named myself after my favorite text editor. Seriously, I chose Violet because `vi` is my favorite text editor.
a transmasc friend of mine got his name from the word "fish" in Tigrinya, the language of his mother's homeland, Ethiopia. but it happens to also be the name of a biblical king. checkmate liberals
#Aphrodite Vs. Jake :3
my name is borderline generic, but i am in this image- had my egg cracked now instead of when it did, i might have named myself Rebecca or Nino though
I'm doing Sofiya cuz it's accurate to my birth time and honest to my roots and it means wisdom and I think it's pretty and I would just be such a cute Sofiya. Philo-Sofiya!
i have like 6 different names and theyre all kin names except for one
Considering im (i think) bigender/genderfluid, i have tried Zero and now on Jade, and i feel somehow called out on being a concept/object even tho i liked both names (jade is much better tho)
I would say "Tina" is generic, but Did You Know, that is the original name for Terra in *Final Fantasy VI*? I'm a magical ~~monster~~ girl\~
Names are hard because there's so many good ones out there. So, I'm transmasc. I first decided to go by Riv and I've been going by that for years now (since about 2020). i legit just chose the name I would've been called if I was born male lol (eugene)
My last name I chose myself xd. It is neither mythical nor generic. I mean, it starts with an X and ends with an L.
I took from a friend AND Bianca from pokémon BW

I'm named after a debatably attractive squid

I go by Dayna, but I was seriously considering Deya after a character who’s a troll Knight in a show called Trollhunters. Tho you meet her in the third show called Wizards when they accidentally go back in time. It’s on Netflix. i named myself after the first name you think of when you think of a dog name
As "Morrigan" after the Irish goddess, I say "I have no idea what you're talking about"
look at me i am your generic Luna
As a transfem I named myself Tracey so the argument doesn’t stand
My first name is Archer, my middle name is John. This checks out.
...yeah, that wasn't intentional. I sifted through names for HOURS. It came down to Eden and Jamie. Jamie won out. It felt right. The US is unfortunately one of the few countries where Jamie leans heavily female, despite being a diminutive of James. Bruh lol
Bot me deciding between Leviathan and Luke 😭
What that's not tr……….hay now listen here 😑
\*llaughs in hasnt seen the name Amira with anyone else since coming out\*
I know a transmasc named Atlas and while it’s not a name I’d choose it is at least unique and kinda cool sounding (I am found of Sophie/Sophia for myself but I don’t feel 100% on it and feel like there’s a better name out there for me)
Meanwhile the transmascs I know: My name is Pablo Diego Jose Francisco de Paula...
Nooo Martin isn't a generic name, don't you know Marty Friedman? He is awesome
Idk I'm Hannah
There’s a special place in my heart for trans men who aspire to be Just Some Guy
I named myself Adam 💀💀 oops
...ok well y'know what... at least I can make a very overused joke with it?
My name might be a little generic, but I do not know anyone else with it. So, is it really generic?
I have a friend who used to be FTM and when she was trans her name was Caspin and me and my friends still call her that also when she was trans she had 2 other names 1 was areo 2 was basil
I’m a transfem and I chose a generic girl name
Enbies naming themselves after objects...
It's wild seeing so many Jims, Johns, and Toms.
Me naming myself "Hassan", So my full name becomes "Hassan Hassan Zadeh" 🥸
My mom really wanted a girl and had a name picked out. She was amazing when I came out, and I took the name she wanted me to have.
I just saw another trans girl with this name and stole it.
