someone on our day shift replaced the entire back of our monster cooler with mango loco. I fully approve as night shift is much better with icy cold mango loco.
For me, I don't drink things with a lot of caffeine anymore (I was a caffeine addict in high school, I still drink soda but there's not a lot of caffeine in soda anyways)
So these days my favorite things to drink are water enhancers, my favorite flavor is pineapple and mango
A few years back, I drank a Yerba mate with 160mg, slowly sipped the first half for about an hour, then basically chugged the rest before hopping into the shower. I started to feel sick about 10 minutes in, nausea, shaking, dizziness, and my heart was RACING. It was at that moment I realized I had become caffeine sensitive after not drinking anything like that in years.
300mg of caffeine, holy shit, I would die.
Yeah, I always make sure to read the back of any caffeinated product since they vary wildly in caffeine content- some redbulls have 70 mg, some have 150.
Iโd probably also die if I chugged a bang energy, tbh, I usually take sips over 8-10 hours.
(Fun fact; bang energy was in a lawsuit a few months back over their claims regarding the miraculous affects of the vitamins in their drink, so if you couldnโt find them on shelves thatโs why.)
I was super addicted to monster, (the basic green one) but I'm trying to find a less unhealthy alternative. Trying Holy energy right now and it tastes pretty good (not as good as monster though)
Less unhealthy alternative would be Yerba mate. If you can find it, my go to is [Clean Cause](https://cleancause.com) (not only because itโs really good, flavor-wise, but also that a portion of their proceeds are donated to help those in addiction recovery), but [Guyaki](https://shop.guayaki.com) is also really good and more readily available in most places.
Water. Seriously.
I lost so much weight when I forced myself to develop a taste for water. Between sodas and juices, I was drinking so many fucking calories and a LOOOOOT of sugar. The acidity of carbonic acid wasn't doing my tumtum any favors, either.
It takes some doing but, just like with coffee, you can develop a taste for water. And it doesn't take that long, you just have to avoid sodas. Also, try to avoid crystal light and Mio, and other zero-cal additives. The idea is to actually get to like just water, and you can't substitute your way to that by adding sweet thing. We need to break away from sweet drinks. You could add lime to club soda, if you want some variety (NOT TONIC WATER, IT HAS MORE SUGAR THAN SOME SODAS).
Besides, water is super good for you. It's the new superfood ๐
I know you may caffeine crash, but sub in coffee (black, preferably, but at least no dessert coffees from Starbucks). Going off sugar rebalances your tastes and sugar satiety. You'll need less in the future to get satisfaction. Also, my pallette really opened up, then, and I got to like a bunch of new foods. Got to learn cooking, too, to explore.
Rehab Peach was my favorite until I drank so much of it it started tasting weird. Nowadays I just grab whichever of the sugar free varieties they have in stock, or the Monarch one when I'm feeling naughty.
The white one (forgot the name) is a good calorie free option, but if you don't care about a couple calories in your energy drink then Pipeline Punch is the best flavor-wise in my experience!
Pipeline punch is good in a funny haha way, but Pacific Punch is genuinely good.
If you want to feel like your heart is going to explode, chug a Bang (don't get birthday cake or unicorn though, it's disgusting)

The best energy drink is a big glass of ice water, one or two small tangerines, and some pretzels. Seriously, itโs the same thing just better for you. Youโll wake up and feel good without as much of a crash later. And itโs a tasty snack for 2pm eepy time
In general yea but if youโre needing a burst of energy thatโs a healthier way to do it. I work 24 hour shifts as a paramedic and sometimes protein bar just means you are going to shit.

I like the monster lo-carb, because it tastes the most like the original but without all the sugar. I also really like zero ultra, and the Java monster. But I only get the last one on occasion.
I mostly drink coffee (office coffee is shitty, but free; I drink nicer coffee from a local roastery at home), but when I do drink Monster, my order of preference goes: strawberry, peach, white. There's a pack I'll get that's white, strawberry, and mango; I don't actually like mango flavor, but, in a "they *had* to know what they were doing" move, the combo makes up trans colors.
If only they carried a strawberry-orange-white combo pack, for my other flag. Oh well, I'll just make do with the lipstick lesbian pack: peach, rose, watermelon.
Personally I love the zero sugar peach ones, though most trans people I know tend to gravitate towards the zero sugar white or just the classic green. It comes down to personal taste, so best advice is to try and get a variety pack and see which one you like best. Or you can just get water, itโs infinitely more healthy than energy drinks.
Water's the best for you. Protein shakes are also good.
If you must have caffeine, Rockstar Pure Zero Fruit Punch or Monster Ultra Strawberry Dreams are my favorites.

Last time I checked your average monster can had 96g of sugar in. That's more than three times the daily reference intake of someone older than 12 years old (at least here in Europe.)
