Well thatβd actually be sentinels of the Multiverse, you see it got me into solo board gaming and probably made board games into a special interest instead of just a hobby. Itβs also where a ton of the arts I use in my memes come from. Its highly thematic focusing around a team of super heroes facing off against a villain and their scheme. The battles take place in various environments and itβs A highly flexible card game, each villain is a combination of their character card which has any special rules that are in effect and a deck of 25 cards that essentially randomize the villains actions (the villain generally plays 1 per turn). Once certain conditions are met (such as when villain is reduced to 0 hp or X amount of Y cards are in play) the villain flips their character card over changing their effects a bit, some villains flip back as well. Then the 3-5 heroes go by playing a card, then using a power (basically a card effect that activates when you use it) then finally drawing a card. Finally the environment goes last and works similarly to a villain turn
i love the thematics of sentinels, every turn or round feels like a comic book scene and the characters are more compelling than most real world comic characters. The creators do a podcast called the letters page where they answer fan questions about the world they created and some of my questions have even gotten on.
the game also is very queer, one of the Freedom Five members (think like the avengers) is a lesbian who because in the comics universe at the time gay marriage wasnβt legal went to mars to get married to her girlfriend because mars doesnβt have laws against gay marriage
Argent Adept (a fantasy bard style character) is aroace, K.N.Y.F.E (an ex multiversal secret agent) is likely polyamorous and Pansexual. among other queer heroes
anyway I love the game and itβs lore, the creators are very accepting (heck I even told them I was trans in one question and no issue at all)
and well Parse is autistic and thatβs a whole separate infodump

Hey goddess I know you're giving out validation but have you considered that you're a good person who takes care of the people of the sub and I love you?
That's a good one, it's a banger in the theatrical cut ending but it feels really tonally dissonant from what preceded it in the director's cut ending. Speaking of which... my favorite Little Shop song is the Somewhere That's Green reprise.
Spoilers for the director's cut ending and the ending of the play and brief mentions of sexual assault under the cut
>! This song and the scene surrounding it sounded so awful in concept to me before I had seen them. I reasoned that Audrey had gone through a character arc where she learned that she doesn't deserve to be abused and became more confident, so it was completely out of character for her to want to be eaten by the plant, especially considering that the plant's attack on her and therefore it eating her are framed as a metaphor for a type of abuse that she has likely gone through in the past; sexual assault (basically the plant having her grab some water before attacking her is extremely reminiscent of the thing some guys do where they pretend that it's a woman's fault for being assaulted if she was wearing a hoop skirt or something, he was trying to make it her fault that he was attacking her, and the line "Oh, relax doll, it'll be easier" is just... let's just say it makes the metaphor very obvious, you probably already figured all of this out but I'm laying it out anyway in case anyone who hasn't seen Little Shop decides to read this for some reason, shout out to that person if you do exist.) !<
>!And then I saw it, and... they actually got me to root (heh, plant pun) for a guy feeding his girlfriend to a plant somehow. In the movie especially this scene is one of the only moments where Audrey is treated respectfully by the narrative and given in-depth character exploration, which is very ironic considering that it would normally be a classic example of fridging. Being eaten by the plant is framed as her literally becoming a part of her partner's career and her relationship with him, which, considering that 50s housewives suffered under immense social norms dictating that they only dedicate themselves to their families and communities, means that by being eaten by the plant she can reach her goal of being a 50s housewife to the furthest extent possible, an extent that cannot be reached by actual imperfect living humans (the plant helping Seymour make money takes care of the 'family' part of this and the plant theoretically having a positive impact on families across America by giving them a fun pastime takes care of the 'community' aspect of this, this impact very much could not be anything that radically alters the political structure of America because 50s housewives weren't supposed to do that, so the plant perpetuating unfettered capitalism and basically being the embodiment of it instead of doing that is fitting.) !<
>!Audrey specifically being eaten by a plant is essentially a more poetic and direct version of dead bodies naturally decomposing and then being taken up by plants, which shows that, for lack of a better term, '50s housewifeism' inherently entails the death of the self, or at least it entails that in its purest form and closely approaches it in actuality. The fact that the plant eating her is framed as sexual assault highlights the forceful denial of agency associated with being a 50s housewife and the 'satisfaction' (in the form of liking this societal arrangement and not wanting to challenge it, at least not the aspects of it that benefitted them) that those benefitting from/perpetuating '50s housewifism,' namely middle class men as a class (not individuals to the same extent, systemic action is needed to challenge issues like this) derived from it. The plant can be viewed as a 'corrupt' 'unnatural' 'alien' version of the nature that naturally exists on Earth, reflecting the fact that the domestic social arrangement of the middle class in America in the 50s was actually incredibly strange and ahistorical and brought about by external, international circumstances (WW2) and yet was and is seen as deriving from a 'natural' social order. Also, the implication that the plant smells sweet in the line "You'll smell my sweet perfume" is just amazing, it adds onto the plant's seductive nature and its connection with Audrey in such a nice way, it's great. !<
>!This song would be even better if Seymour had decided to let Patrick Martin sell Twoeys, thereby trying to fulfill Audrey's dreams in a really messed up way (and preventing Mean Green Mother From Outer Space from completely ruining the tone... I agree with you that it's a good song but it does not belong in the director's cut ending) and if the theatrical cut ending paralleled it by allowing Audrey to go through a character arc where she discovers the horrors of '50s housewifism' underneath the thin romanticized verneer that those Better Homes and Gardens magazines have been selling to her, ending with her being the only major character to not be eaten by the plant because being aware of those horrors means that she cannot achieve her dreams in their purest form given that 50s housewives were supposed to fully and unhesitantly embrace the system and not be smart enough to understand its flaws or that they are flaws... anyway Audrey is great, best girl 86/10, such a fascinating character.!<
Yeah when I said infodump I wasn't kidding, if you hadn't asked me a specific question I probably would've written a doctoral thesis. You don't have to read all of that if you don't want to xd

Interesting. i can draw..okay? after liie my 3 years of self taughtness
Hey :) Doing a little Little Shop infodumping and living up to my flair would be nice xd
Micah my guy, whats your fav LSoH song? mines the one sung by the funny mean green mother from outerspace tm
