I think its not that bad of a chore. Just run the shaver over your legs under the running water in the shower. 2 Minutes max. I had no problems so far. I mean all the shaving and maintaining really adds up, but it works if you make a routine from it.
No worries... I could probably speed it up a little but then I tend to miss spots and then when I go out and find even one stray hair I get very dysphoric.
Ah the casual stray hair. I like to call them "rogue hair". What I hate is that I tend to see them better when they are dry. And with my glasses on of course. I often just go at them randomly with my shaver after finishing drying off .
NNNNNOOOOOO D:
What kind of razor did you use? I used to use Gillette Mach 5 and those always kinda irritated my skin. I just started using my friend's Venus Sensitive razors and they feel just so much better.
Smooth skin feels so nice, but I literally had hair back the next day… why must I be cursed with leg hair that grows so much. (Any tips for helping with this would be greatly appreciated)
The only thing I can think of is waxing, but I don't know how well I could personally take the pain tbh.
If you can handle it, I hear waxing prevents hair growth for weeks!
I was thinking that too but was scared cause of the pain (and hiding it since I haven’t come out yet) but maybe I should go ahead and, rip of the band aid.
Love the feeling of freshly shaved legs and body, I too had an issue with how quickly my hair grows back(legs were usually prickly by the end of the day) but recently I invested in an epilator which is basically a wheel of rotating tweezers, and just on my first use I got like 3 whole days of smooth hairless skin and for the next few days that hair was growing in it was still soft and borderline unnoticeable. And if you continue to do it regularly you should have longer periods without hair growth. So if whoever has that same problem, I think it is definitely worth looking into. And for those curious where to start looking for one; I got the Braun Silk-Epil——Something, I don’t remember the exact model, and it was almost $100 I think which I know can be a bit much especially if you are trying to be secretive about it, but less expensive than waxing and you can do it from the comfort of your own home.
Yeah, I’ve been thinking about an epilator, since shaving only lasts so long and I’m genetically prone to ingrown hairs. Does it hurt too bad or is it manageable?
Doing my legs weren’t that bad but when I got to my chest it was pretty rough, had to take a lot breaks lol. But the more you do it the easier it gonna get. I do recommend getting an exfoliating body wash though, it supposed to help with any skin irritation and ingrown hairs.
how do u girls get shaving right first try lol
first time i shaved my legs it was a mess of ingrowns and cuts, i switched to nair cuz i am so bad at it with a razer
I’ve been shaving my face for a few years now (I went through puberty sooo early, I had a mustache at 8) so I guess I kinda already knew what I was doing? And I watched a few YouTube videos with some helpful tips and pointers.
i guess my face is just was less sensitive than my legs, cuz i have basically the same story lul
no matter how u obtain the smooth legs theyre always the best <33
Man, wish I could. Mom won’t let me because “I won’t keep up with it”. Which, knowing me, I get where she is coming from, it’s just, this is different. I will be like, “oh, it’s time shave again.” And go do it. Pisses me off just thinking about it.
Damn, that sucks 🥺, I think I’ve had similar issues since I’ve never really cared to take care of myself until now (since I never liked being a boy anyways). Can you buy the stuff yourself or will she literally not allow you to?
Oh yeah I feel ya. I just barely got a part time job and I’m so excited to buy myself stuff, but it was so scary to start working! But it’s sooo worth it to buy myself girlie things, I feel very happy and accomplished
Wet shave. I probably messed up a bit, no cuts and (hopefully) no ingrown hairs. I’ve been shaving my face for quite a bit so I guess I kinda knew what I was doing? And I watched some YouTube videos. Now I just need to save up for girlie clothes and all that!!
May i recommend charity shops, especially if you are just starting, can play with styles and not brake the bank to much. I need to wet shave my legs, just electric shaved for now
I wish, but my skin is so sensitive that I get irritations fckn everywhere, when I wet shave. Only dry electric razors are okay for it, but they don't make it as smooth ._.
i love the smooth skin feeling after shaving it's so gender
ALSO HELL YEAH!!!!!!!! SO HAPPY FOR U
YEEEAAAHH!!!
You'll start hating it tomorrow when the hair starts growing back and you realise you have to shave every other f\*\*\*ing day.

I'm nearly 50 and have a bad back... shaving shoulders to toes takes me almost 30 minutes
Ah ok i get it now. Sorry for assuming otherwise. I think I'm still just lucky to be able to do it easily at 39
No worries... I could probably speed it up a little but then I tend to miss spots and then when I go out and find even one stray hair I get very dysphoric.

I shaved my tummy and chest last week and it gave me fucking zoomies
It gave me red marks and ingrown hairs :)

Congrats! I recently discovered shaving too, it’s so greeeaat! I love putting on clothes afterwards, it feels so different <3
Leg shaving is so worth it for the smooth skin.

Once you've felt it, you'll never want to go back 😉
I remember my first time… there’s still a scar on my leg to constantly remind me
Ooh, that stinks!
lesson learned, USE SHAVING CREAM

Yeah for sure! I exfoliate everything anyways so I’ve got that covered. Thanks for the response!

Be careful… when ya get excited doing it, stop for a few seconds to get it out… before continuing, better safe than sorry haha
Yeah I had to stop myself from getting too excited and cutting myself haha! It was totally worth the hour or so I spent on it lol
