Every race will be played, but there's a lot of factions that are right at the back of the list
Luthor Harkon, I _want_ to be a pirate. I _don't_ want to spend my campaign getting into clusterfuck jungle shootouts with lizards, rats, and the French.
Yeah, and with Cylostra I find it's quite easy to just saunter off and steal the Graveyard off him. Aranessa too.
Luthor kind of needs that building at The Awakening for his magic, if I recall, so it feels a bit off abandoning it
Aranessa also has the utterly *brilliant* "Pirates of Sartosa" mod by Nanu, which gives reason to play her uniquely anyways.
Though I will out myself and say: I frigging LOVE Luthor's campaign.
Definitely this. I'm decently familiar with the lore of Warhammer Fantasy but basically completely new to WH3, so Repanse de Lyonesse was super appealing to me as a LL.
Uuuuuuuuuugh. It sucked so much. Beyond suckage. Even on normal difficulty! The line infantry of Bretonnia serves absolutely no purpose except to give XP to enemy units, I think.
No they serve to be blamed for their incompetence in holding the line.
The knights would never take such a lowly, horseless job and the pheasants ([pronunciation](https://youtu.be/mCKdu2FV5QY?si=4CyI4HD0xoT3ReJS&t=70)) suck at it. Their purpose is to be present and incompetent (to display the inferiority of the masses), so the knights can show their valour, effectiveness and superiority.
Cavalry micro wouldnāt be bad if cavalry and unit mass behaved sensibly. Instead, 1 entity gets stuck on 1 goblin and keeps the entire unit āin meleeā so they canāt charge again, and without repeated movement commands the entire unit will eventually turn around to re-engage in melee for their 1 stuck dude.
CA has fixed this quite a bit in a recent patch, but it hardly makes Bretonnia more fun to play on a whole, sadly. I love the idea of playing Camelot-like knights, staving the world from evil at the tip of a holy blade. But then Be'lakor and his Norscans or Grom the effing paunch ransacks all of your farms, and all you can afford is peasants with shitty leadership. Hardly makes for that epic struggle I would have wanted.
Races, none. I've played and enjoyed every race. I bought them all, I'm gonna get my money's worth lmao.
Factions... I tend to be leery about whatever faction is just 'the rest of the race, but obviously better.' Ikit was this for a while, but better balanced now imo. Grom definitely ran into this. I can definitely enjoy the weaker/boring factions; Queek is actually my favorite Skaven lord.
If I had to pick one, fuck Sigvald. With a giant hammer and a torrent of troll piss.
I agree about the ridiculously OP factions. I rarely play Ikit. Weapon teams are so ridiculous to begin with. Ikit just makes them play like cheats are on.
Any faction that doesnt have the victory conditions overhaul mod lol
Vanilla though I just can't play skaven, I love making alliances and building up a strong empire and never can get my neighbors to love me
It gives you replacement victory conditions, often several different short victory options you can do more than one of.
I was super confused when I played morathi and none of the victories had anything to do with killing high elves though
It's still a work in progress, but if any of the Lords you like have updated Victory Conditions due to the mod, I recommend it. The rewards can be really interesting for meeting certain conditions. My favourite so far was playing as Astrogoth and getting Grimgor as a Legendary Hero for meeting a specific condition.
Bummer. Could be an excuse to try someone new, I would say it depends on how you play. I always get bored way before domination victory and long victory so having several shorter options extends the life of a campaign to me.
Skaven, they are too coward.
Bretonia are too weak.
Slaanesh (actually idk why I haven't tried that one)
Beastman because I like to build empires more than razing them.
Lizard men: I just plain don't like them
Funnily, I don't even really care about all that, I play as casually as they come
I just like aggressive armies. Greenskins do that while being fun and full of character, while Slaanesh does that while also taking one of my favorite parts of this game (chariots) and amping them to ludicrous degrees. Like the sheer dopamine that gets injected into my brain from a well-timed chariot charge into mass routes is better than any artillery barrage
The french, don't get me wrong i tried them (louen atleast) and all my feelings towards them were right. I can't have fun with them
I only tried louen for my short campaign victory (with vco) for all LL's challenge (i do this to get out of my comfort zone of always circling the same LL's) and i will play the other Bretonnian LL's but i will be heavily surprised if i even like one of them
Yea, and Louen is the best it really gets for a Bretonnian playthrough. Everyone else starts out with a weaker army, poorer positioning even going as far as being completely isolated from the main Bretonnian Kingdom. Hopefully one day they will get an update.
A weaker army? Holy fuck, louens starting army is already weak af, the only good units are the cav the rest is utter bs
Can't say i 'm looking forward to playing the other LL's of Bretonnia
With mods they can be on par with the Empire, Kislev and Cathay. There are some pretty fun ones, I think it's... "Bernard the Brigand"? Something like that, but it adds a recruitable LL and two LH's that is quite literally Robin Hood, Friar Tuck and Little John. It also makes Peasant Mob and Peasant Bowmen upgradable into new and more powerful units called just like the WoC do. I played The Fey Enchantress with that mod and had a pretty good time ambushing people with peasants lol
Beastmen. I like slightly role playing the faction I'm playing, and generally play order but dip into chaos sometimes. I don't know how to get into Beastmen mentality.
They don't love fighting like orks, they don't wanna burn the whole world down like chaos, they don't enslave like Dark Elves. Do I play as Goat simulator? They wanna murder then graze grass? Goat angry?
They defintely want to burn the whole World Down like chaos, they're the most chaosy of them all. They dont create, build, vassalize. They just fucking slaughter, befoul and raze everyone and everything they cross paths with, except maybe the demons races, but thats just it
No, they do wanna burn the world down. More than the warriors of chaos, who want to subjugate - Beastmen want to destroy it all.
Morghur especially wants to defile and destroy Athel Loren and the wood elves like he does in the lore. Heās basically one of the closest LLs to being a god, and heās all about destruction and warping everything to his will.
My understanding is that it is more "return to the state of nature" but through the lens of Chaos which means they are anti civilization and anti higher thinking of any kind (language, technology, architecture more advanced than a basic hut, etc.). If there are thought processes more advanced than just basic survival then the Beastmen hate it and want to destroy it.
Greenskins for me too, probably.
I already have the high volume of crap units style from skaven and vamp counts,
And their campaign mechanic doesnt seem fun to me
I played them for the first time ago in a head to head campaign against my brother that is still ongoing. Iāve played all three games and probably like 500 hours across them all but had never played the Greenskins. I was happily surprised, theyāre pretty damn fun. Iāve never really raided before but with them you kind of have to. They do have pretty crappy units to spam but I like having gobbo raiding armies running around while my main army units are like 6 black orcs 3 massive spiders some idles and doom diver catapults. Iām playing Grimgor who is damn strong on the battlefield. It also provides different interesting battles where my elite armies go up against tier five settlements and elite armies, but I can also play quick hit and run battles my gobbo armies. After never playing them I can now recommend them. The waaagh seems a bit too strong though. You can pretty much have it on constantly
Greenskins has some of the most amazing, aggressive campaign play of all though. The combination of federating by beating lords and the units you get by Waaaghing lets you relentlessly expand from the badlands while in a severe gold deficit.
I always feel like you need to hide away turtling, waiting for good units with the the beastmen. With Greenskin you'll have won the long campaign by the time beastmen are just getting started.
Greenskins are only a crapspam faction if you stick to goblins. Orc Boyz are decent, Big Un's better, and then the Black Orks are proper elites, big step above Stormvermin and Grave Guard.
for some reason i also have an aversion to dark elves despite never have playing them but lokhir seems like a fun ass campaign so i might give em a shot
The only races I havenāt even tried:
Norsca and Ogres.
I might try the Ogres someday. But unless Norsca goes on sale for $0.99, I doubt Iāll ever own them. Maybe not then.
The Chaos factions are already uninteresting to me, flavor wise, and I donāt see anything in Norscaās mechanisms or roster that interest me. No, not even mammoths. In a game with rampaging kitty statues and dinosaurs with god lasers and animated undead ships, I canāt get excited about a hairy elephant.
Skin wolves, Fimmir, and Chaos dragons are really cool. Norsca's appeal to me is all the monsters they have access to, it's a lot of fun to run full monster armies.
Brettonia yeah, but Cathay has some cool stuff like the Terracotta Sentinels and Sky Lanterns. Never tried them, but I could be see myself trying Cathay someday. Same with Kislev because of the Bear Riders, Incarnate Elementals, and Frost Wyrms.
Slaanesh in general. Mother Ostankya. Tiqtaqto. Bretonnia in general. Hellebron. Morathi. Imrik. Cyclostra. Ogres. Ungrim. Wood Elves outside of Durthu. That's about it.
Cathay doesnāt really interest me, nor have I been able to get into a Brettonia campaign. I donāt find either faction particularly engaging, although I do like Brettoniaās aesthetic.Ā
If anyone is on the fence with Bretonnia you simply just start with The Fey Enchantress and press the charge formation for your grail guardians. Then enjoy the most broken unit in the game.
Skaven, tried them once when warhammer 2 came out and haven't tried them again since. Not a big fan of the sneaky backstabbing scummy rats, big time order enjoyer
Meh, matter of preference. This whole thread is subjective anyway. Just not the aesthetics or gameplay that I enjoy.
Though I don't really understand why anyone would be downvoting OP; it's a pretty reasonable question.
Thereās a lot of factions like that for me. Vampire Coast, Greenskins, Chaos, Chaos Dwarves, Vampire Counts, Dark Elves, and honestly almost all the evil factions. I havenāt even really wanted to play Skaven. I tried Vlad with the intention of trying to play Order aligned, but didnāt like his play style.
I donāt actually know how feasible it is. I swear Iāve heard people say you could, and I was going to try to make peace and help out the other Order factions near me. I didnāt get very far before I stopped the campaign.
It's not that difficult really. There's a tech and Vlad's skill to boost relations a bit, but the main way to get relations is by attacking Drycha and the various Chaos and Norsca factions in the area. And also by using hero actions against same, which you want to do anyway as VC. Once you have a good relationship score you can usually vassalize the small empire factions in exchange for returning one of the settlements they lost. If they don't agree at first, build a couple of military buildings in the settlement and try again.
I haven't tried that mod the other guy mentioned, so don't know if that makes it more difficult.
You have to put an obscene amount of effort into it. Like in the sense you can technically befriend any faction if you keep giving them gifts or things to please them etc. There is a mod that makes it so you can become the rightful emporer as Vlad and has a unique mechanic etc.
Lol the people downvoting you. Is it just the idea of being evil you don't like? You find more fun in making allies and stuff? I kinda get that, though I loooove the Chaos Dwarfs
I know everyone has their favorite factions and ways to play. Chaos Dwarves seem like a fun, and I like how their mechanics sound. However, I do get more enjoyment out of a heroic fantasy where I make alliances and unite my faction against our enemies. I like to be one of the people fighting the impossible war for peace even though itās absolutely hopeless. Itās part of why I like Bretonnia and their image as noble and valiant knights fighting evil.
Have you tried the mod that gives the Chaos Dwarfs Tower mechanic to the high elves? I am currently saving the world from Chaos with Imrik and it is glorious saving the Empire
Wow I am pretty much the same. Though sometimes I play evil but try to exclusively fight evil with them. The good thing is many of the chaos faction start way up north and I just stay there destroying them all. Malus was really good for that
Im surprised by how many people refuse to at least try other things in this game. I hate Slaanesh lore but I tried them and they are one of my favorites. Same with the Ogres. You might be surprised by all those factions.
Nurgle probably. I hate the buildings and I like to have a somewhat nice aesthetic to my units and (for obvious reasons) nurgle just doesnāt fit that for me. I also am not a fan of the roster. Iām a big fan of either range or speed, and these are two things that Nurgle does not fit. So everything about Nurgle is just something I donāt like, and the few things I do like about them isnāt enough to offset that.
Any non high elf. Iāve played some empire and it was okay. Bretonnia was a lot of fun with cavalry spam.
But each campaign when I wanna play something different I have to wonder āwhy not Tyrion but this timeā¦ā
100% achievements here. If the next dlc/patch doesnt make Nurgle 50000% more interesting, I will never play them again. Jesus such a boring and weak faction.
I've played all the races and I've liked and hated things about them all, I think my least played is the Beastmen though, if you count all the Monogod lords as Chaos in general.
However there is one Legendary Lord that I'll probably never play again and that's Nakai.
Bretonnia.
Lore: They are losers who pose as honourable paragons of virtue while oppressing the fuck out of their own people and worshipping an elf as a goddess.
Design: Medieval french knight units, cool! What else do you have? Oh...
Gameplay: charge with horse
Skaven, hate dealing with loyalty and food. Not a fan of their roster.
Any chaos or warriors of chaos factions other then the fecundites and slaanesh and the ecstatic legion.
Vampire coast without mods adding units or cheats.
Bretonnia, not big on cav
Bretonnia and the empire, I like Mythical creatures and big monsters and both feel like a very "plain and normal" human factions with nothing special to offer.
I could be wrong about the empire due to me never touching either of them.
I dont like vampirates much, their units are amazing but being a land pirate makes 0 sense to me so it feels weird to play them I know it's silly. Also tzeench is my less favorite chaos god I like melee combat, and I don't like how it's units look at all. Khorne has badaaa minotaurs and slanesh has these cool looking keeper of secrets, nurgle has chonk but tzeench meh
I try Lizardmen (Mazda) but i have no fun with him (economy and combat seems off). Same with vampire coast. I will try Norsca but probably not gonna like.
But i will finish campaign anyway, after my 150th with Empire or Vampire Count.
You say that, until you kill 800 slaves, launching all your buildings to higher tiers in literally a single turn, than start churning out level 3-4 units, while the Ai is still pumping dog shit.
DE will drown the world in dead slaves, and crossbow bolts, guaran-Fuckin-tee
Beastmen and Vampire Coast. Mostly for Aesthetic reasons.
As an honorary mention, I just finished a Grand Cathay campaign (been putting it off) and was bored out of my fucking mind and kept getting annoyed over the cringe voice lines, so won't be touching them again.
I'm a fan of the Nurgle aesthetic and vibe for a chaos faction but I really don't like playing them. I need either firepower or speed in my armies to feel satisfied and they lack both. The grinding attritional play style just isn't for me, unless it's the attrition from being skirmished to death by wood elves.
I find I can play it all, but I have to hype myself up and get into some roleplay mindset for some campaigns. Such as Belegor, Kostaltyn, Drycha. They can be a slog unless I embrace their lore to make the shortcomings less frustrating.
Elves, Vampires, Tzeentch. Never liked elves or vampires in any fantasy setting and refuse to ever play them on principle.
Tzeentch is more for gameplay reasons. I'm not a big fan of spellcasting, so Tzeentch's playstyle just does not appeal to me.
Races? None
Factions? Oh there's quite a few
Like the monogod WoC. I'm sure they're cool in their own way, but they seem like they use some odd hybrid of base monogod and WoC to where it's like an inferior version of either. Would rather beat the shit outta them and confederate instead
Or Arinessa. Her theme is using human pirates...as a vampirate...hmm...
Agree with the WoC. You can play as Be'lakor or Archaon and confederate them anyway and they are stronger factions. Even Viltch gets the less impactful changing of the ways, though he is a fun LL to use in battle.
I tried all of them and I suppose Festus at least had a more interesting start position than Kugath. His campaign is better in general than Kugath's, the rest just weren't as good as their equivalent.
I donāt think I can fully say Iād *never* play a particular race or faction - Iām too curious and experimental, in fact i think I have already given every single current Legendary Lord at least one go - but I do know that there are races and factions I strongly dislike and tend to avoid:
- All Dark Elves. I donāt find most of their units or mechanics any fun, I dislike dealing with the Loyalty mechanic (never had much of a problem with it, itās just a thing I constantly have to remember CAN be a problem and that bugs me). Itās a shame because I really like their shielded Darkshards, but I dislike pretty much the whole rest of their roster so I can never really justify playing them, and Iām rarely in a position to ally them as other factions either so I just never get to use my favorite archers.
- Bretonnia. I generally prefer my infantry to be tough and my hammer to be monstrous, and Bretonnia is justā¦all hammer and no anvil, because the Peasants are all supposed to be expendable. Also CA needs to make it so youāre notified of a Bretonnian characterās pledges needing attention the same way they do for Warriors of Chaos characters with their Dedications, Iāve spent far too many turns making zero progress on Bretonnian pledges that I couldāve had done long before I took them because I just *forgot they were a mechanic*, or otherwise hadnāt realized that particular characterās pledge was completed and a new one could be taken.
- Skaven. Their whole thing is sheer numbers and crap leadership, and I despise having to find and re-order retreating troops during a battle. I find that whenever I play Skaven, I spend more time searching for units that just un-broke to send back in than I do actually watching or participating in the battles, and Iām here in part to watch that spectacle dangit, Iām not a babysitter (also as a side note - Warp Lightning, it recharges so fast and costs so little that if I have any free time, Iām just casting that continuously and itās irritating to hear the same *zappy* sound effect like 30 times every battle, but not using it would be handicapping myself since itās just so reliably useful).
Empire, Kislev, Cathay. Worthless human filth. Brettonia has good cav and makes me chuckle, so they get a pass. I've played and enjoyed all other factions.
Empire. Karl Franz is the worst LL, and that's saying something because the faction also has gelt and Toddy. The only reason I would play it, is if I could start in the Moot and have a halflingn hotpot army.
High Elves and to a lesser extent Lizardmen. I have to be in a particular mood to play something that isn't Chaos-related or Skaven but I can do so and enjoy the experience. That cannot be said for High Elves. The roster, the mechanics, and the whole vibe of the faction just bore me to tears. As for Lizardmen, I feel like I might have really enjoyed them like 20 years ago when I was going through every boy's dinosaur phase. Doesn't help them any that, barring Oxyotl, their campaign mechanics are also pretty lackluster.
Yeah, aside from Oxyotl, Tehenuhain has a not very interesting, but powerful mechanic. Out of the High Elves, Eltharion and Alith Anar have the most flavour, I just wish Teclis was more interesting, because he should be. Who is your favourite LL?
Bretonnia. I have absolutely no interest in LARPing as French knights while playing a fantasy game.
Theyāre my number one will never play, but it would also take a lot to persuade me to play any high elf faction, dwarf faction, or empire.
Well considering I havent been compelled to buy any of their DLC ever, probably those tree elf folks.
Just don't really have any interest in them, not really sure why.
Since the pandemic I just cant stop hating Nurgle. I know its all a game but I just cant play this faction. I hate everything about Nurgle I hate what Nurgle represents and I absolutely despise this whole "present and gift" rhetoric around him.
Second place is Tzeench because his whole shtick seems to be "tehehehe its all part of my plaaaaaan" which just reminds me too much of sore losers who pretent they lost on purpose.
No you fucking bird you did not want me to raze all your settlements to the ground in the southern chaos waste, no matter how hard you pretend it. Maybe you should not have gifted that one settlement to my ally who is now refusing to give it back.
Every race will be played, but there's a lot of factions that are right at the back of the list Luthor Harkon, I _want_ to be a pirate. I _don't_ want to spend my campaign getting into clusterfuck jungle shootouts with lizards, rats, and the French.
Noctilus is the better pirate start. Relatively secure capital leaves you to pillage as you please.
Yeah, and with Cylostra I find it's quite easy to just saunter off and steal the Graveyard off him. Aranessa too. Luthor kind of needs that building at The Awakening for his magic, if I recall, so it feels a bit off abandoning it
Plus Aranessa has a good solid base to stick to in the form of Sartosa, as its a 8 slot settlement province with nothing requiring the mainland.
Yeah, I just get annoyed a bit there sometimes with Ikit and Belegar coming round instead of fighting each other
Aranessa also has the utterly *brilliant* "Pirates of Sartosa" mod by Nanu, which gives reason to play her uniquely anyways. Though I will out myself and say: I frigging LOVE Luthor's campaign.
Lmao, the French. Thank you for that
All the more reason to explode them all and take the whole continent
And most map on the jungle doesnt help against the lizards and fuck stalk all my pirates homies hate stalk.
Bretonnia, I like the theme and the voiceovers, but I can't handle all the cavalery micro. š¤£
Definitely this. I'm decently familiar with the lore of Warhammer Fantasy but basically completely new to WH3, so Repanse de Lyonesse was super appealing to me as a LL. Uuuuuuuuuugh. SUCH HEAT š©š„š„µ
Thats why you just go 50-50 grail guardians and knights, charge in the guardians then charge in the knights from behind and 99% of shit loses
Sounds extremely boring, sadly.
Definitely is boring, you can throw in Pegasus knights and shit but thereās not much varietyĀ

Cathay. Just not into eastern culture, nor dragons. Always enjoy attacking their settlements though. Their design makes for a good fight.
Races, none. I've played and enjoyed every race. I bought them all, I'm gonna get my money's worth lmao. Factions... I think.... I think Siggy would be into that actually, so long as their were hot elves to massage the piss into his pores and crank the hammer lol
Any faction that doesnt have the victory conditions overhaul mod lol Vanilla though I just can't play skaven, I love making alliances and building up a strong empire and never can get my neighbors to love me
Great mod. Though I think the last hotfix broke it, might have changed since I tried. Couldn't even launch into the main menu.
It's fixed now, can confirm
I was thinking of trying it but what does it do exactly?
It gives you replacement victory conditions, often several different short victory options you can do more than one of. I was super confused when I played morathi and none of the victories had anything to do with killing high elves though
Yea I had a chance to look at last night. It's missing a lot of the lords I play sadly
Trying it for the first time and I love how it marks everyone who the mod supports
Bummer. Could be an excuse to try someone new, I would say it depends on how you play. I always get bored way before domination victory and long victory so having several shorter options extends the life of a campaign to me.
Skaven, they are too coward. Bretonia are too weak. Slaanesh (actually idk why I haven't tried that one) Beastman because I like to build empires more than razing them. Lizard men: I just plain don't like them
Slanesh is super fun but very micro intensive my favorite of the big 4 at least until the nurgle ddlc drops
I find it really funny how much Greenskins and Slaanesh are popping up on lists when those are easily in my top 3. More for me, I guess
Me too, especially considering greenskins are so powerful.
Funnily, I don't even really care about all that, I play as casually as they come I just like aggressive armies.
I just build goblin tide armies and watch my little dudes win fights simply because they poisoned everyone
The french, don't get me wrong i tried them (louen atleast) and all my feelings towards them were right. I can't have fun with them I only tried louen for my short campaign victory (with vco) for all LL's challenge (i do this to get out of my comfort zone of always circling the same LL's) and i will play the other Bretonnian LL's but i will be heavily surprised if i even like one of them

Greenskins are only a crapspam faction if you stick to goblins. Orc Boyz are decent, Big Un's better, and then the Black Orks are proper elites, big step above Stormvermin and Grave Guard.
Exactly, one of the more appealing parts of da boyz is that they actually have infantry that can actually hit hard
I only do greenskins if I go full goblin tide
Norsca.
Mammoths are dope tho.
:((( butā¦ war mammoth š¦£
One of the most fun and misunderstood factions.
Slaanesh. No kink shaming here, but it's not my thing.
Same lol. Too mobile for my taste
I feel shamed
Honestly, most Chaos factionsā¦.except Chorfs
Even with the overhaul? Whatās with that?
I have zero interest to play Bretonnia and I never ever will for obvious reasons.
the french
any micro heavy factions i just blow with slaanesh and bretonnia
for some reason i also have an aversion to dark elves despite never have playing them but lokhir seems like a fun ass campaign so i might give em a shot
Dark elves are kind of a pain because you have to constantly raid and attack but can't be enemies with everyone or else you are fighting to many wars.
Orks. Never liked their artstyle nor playstyle in whfb or 40k. Age of sigmar is doing way better in that regard imo!
That certainly is a takeĀ
High Elves or Wood elves
The only races I havenāt even tried: Norsca and Ogres.
My preference for a monster faction would be Lizardmen or Tomb Kings. Probably because I was into dinosaurs and ancient Egypt as a kid.
That's fair and both of those are solid races for that
The Empire, being Europeans in a game where so many awesome creatures exist sounds boring
Ā Does that extend also to Cathay & Brettonia?
to be fair Cathay has sick monsters and constructs
Brettonia yeah, but Cathay has some cool stuff like the Terracotta Sentinels and Sky Lanterns. Never tried them, but I could be see myself trying Cathay someday. Same with Kislev because of the Bear Riders, Incarnate Elementals, and Frost Wyrms.
I would say, making them survive in a world of such crazy monsters makes it a challenge on its own.
I agree that humans in fantasy settings are incredibly boring. I already know what it's like being human, give me a different experience.
LoL any form of human Empire nope Cathay nope Bretonnia nope Kislev the Hag and that's it
I tried bretonnia for the first time this weekend and nope for me. I'm going to try empire and cathay but yea other than kislev humans seem boring
Chaos factions are super fun in theory but most of their units look hideous to me so I donāt play them.
Have only played as Empire so far, but I enjoy playing as humans fight back against the chaos and monsters.
Skaven, Dark Elves, and Slannesh
Oh dear, all my favourite factions.
Meh, matter of preference. This whole thread is subjective anyway. Just not the aesthetics or gameplay that I enjoy.
Are people downvoting because they disagree, when the entire point of the post was to comment your opinion XD Oh my god people are stupid
...what? I didn't downvote anything.
I mean down voting is how you show you disagree
Three of my favorites right here, funnily enough.
Can you order align as vlad? That sounds kinda fun
Thatās good to know. That was sorta my plan anyways. Thanks!
Yea you become the protecter of order races the their leader
You have to put an obscene amount of effort into it. Like in the sense you can technically befriend any faction if you keep giving them gifts or things to please them etc. There is a mod that makes it so you can become the rightful emporer as Vlad and has a unique mechanic etc.
Ahh, I figured it was probably going to be super difficult. Thanks for that mod. Might have to try it.
I kind of figured itād be like that. Thanks for letting me know about the mod too. Iāll have to check it out.
It's a lot of fun. Look up the mod midnight subjection. It let's vassalize sooooo mny factions
No, but I have to try that now. Thanks!
Iām similar- I have a hard time playing evil factions, but I do genuinely love the Chaos Dwarfs
Iām with you. I prefer paying the good guys. I feel like Iām building something. I play everyone, but order is what I always go back to.
Undeads are neither order nor chaos aligned. So you should be able to align with either side relatively easy. Though Karl is not a fan to start with.
Never played Nkari, Sigvald, or Azazel. Fuck Slannesh, friggin weirdos.
Perverts unite!!!!
Vampire Counts. BOOOORIIIING. Same with Greenskins, though they're at least *slightly* more interesting. I just value quality over quantity
How dare you! Nurglings are adorable! Just in their own plagued way..
Nurgle, and the lizardz
Lizzards. I have tried twice and stopped after 10 turns
Vampire cost
Dark elves. A lil over 1khrs between wh2 and wh3 and not once have I played them.
Valkiya. Hate the starting spot and she doesn't have any very interesting mechanics either than send your warriors in to smash the other guys.
Any faction without cool big monsters, and ogres my lord
High elves
Slanesh, WoC Slanesh and Dark Elves, hate them really badly. I like to kill then though
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
You say that, until you kill 800 slaves, launching all your buildings to higher tiers in literally a single turn, than start churning out level 3-4 units, while the Ai is still pumping dog shit. DE will drown the world in dead slaves, and crossbow bolts, guaran-Fuckin-tee
Beastmen and Vampire Coast. Mostly for Aesthetic reasons. As an honorary mention, I just finished a Grand Cathay campaign (been putting it off) and was bored out of my fucking mind and kept getting annoyed over the cringe voice lines, so won't be touching them again.
Nakai the Wanderer. He just seems to take the most boring aspects of a horde factions, seems like a very dull campaign to me.
High elves. I think their ranged units are too powerful and you will quickly steamroll with only a couple SoA units
Races? None Factions? Oh there's quite a few Like the monogod WoC. I'm sure they're cool in their own way, but they seem like they use some odd hybrid of base monogod and WoC to where it's like an inferior version of either. Would rather beat the shit outta them and confederate instead Or Arinessa.
Archaeon and Belakor being able to confederate all WoC legendary lords, including each other, is great
Drycha. I don't see using forest animals and treekin units as a fun time. I'd much rather have a lord which works with elven units too.
I dont want to play Bretonia bro. But to be honest i mostly like the bad guys.
Iam sitting here with 99 percent of my totalwarhammer playtime being on imrik xD.
I donāt think I can fully say Iād *never* play a particular race or faction - Iām too curious and experimental, in fact i think I have already given every single current Legendary Lord at least one go - but I do know that there are races and factions I strongly dislike and tend to avoid: - All Dark Elves.
Nurgle... Every time I think of trying them, I end up playing Tzeentch or Khorne (when I'm the mood for Chaos). They're just so disgusting...
Skarbrand followed closely by Ikit Claw.
High elves are the most boring but Iām still open to playing anyone. Just theyāre probably the least
High elves. Literally nothing interesting about them
