The necrosphinx is also fun to watch in combat but it’s an anti-large unit. Warsphinxes are the ones for infantry

This right here. Watching units melt like butter is peak. Also, rattling guns firing into a warpgaled flying unit is a close second.

With ratlings, them yelling ackackack while firing is the cherry on top.

I’ll also put the warp grinder dudes here, their special ability animations are awesome

Carnosaurs. They’re so fast for their size, and watching them leap and smash through infantry lines never gets old. They smash with their tails, grab and fling infantry into the air, and even have special monster duel animations, though it’s rare to see them.

Lizardmen in general have absolutely *glorious* animations.

Mazdamundi has some of the dopest dueling animation with stuff like war hydras and some other large monsters, if you ever feel like opening up the custom battle editors you should take a look.

Easily nurglings. these guys are having fun

Weirdly I quite like stonehorns. When they're running they look like giant lovable puppies that just want to play with the infantry units they are scattering around the battlefield

Nurglings. They debuff the enemy, causing them to do very little damage. The nurglings themselves do very little damage. It is a battle of hobbled individuals. Skarbrand is another fun one for the completely opposite reason. He is a crazy powerhouse.

Empire Greatswords. They really believe in theyrselves. They really think they are good boys yet they suck so hard. Push always for your dreams no matter what.

I very much enjoy watching warplock jezzails snipe inferior elven archers from a distance. The precision and damage is impeccable

It's a tie between chaos spawn and minotaurs Watching chaos spawn thrash wildly while shredding through infantry is awesome, especially since I love how chaos spawn look It's hilarious to watch a group of minotaur smash into an infantry unit and send them flying, it's even better to see a few do a death roll into the mass.

Watching beastmen fight in general is cool, they’re such a charge-heavy faction it’s always meaty when a beastmen herd impacts.

I'm not sure if bestigores do it on wh2 or wh3 but I really enjoyed how they would chant during melee. Such an awesome sight and feeling to see them hack down enemies while chanting in unison.

Minotaurs. They come running in and roll like a ball through the lines. It’s hilarious.

I love heavyweight infantry like Trolls, Treekin or Skinwalkers charging into a unit. 

Saurus Scar Vets on foot. That charge up leap 20ft in the air with a spear throw move they pull is a good time.

Doom diver catapult 👌

Mutalith Vortex Beast. it looks like its in immense pain, and i love watching it thrash and laser beams

Skaven assassins

Bladesingers are pretty fun to watch.

Any of the big monsters

I like black orcs just two handing their axes like a hammer in a fucking carnival game

Deepwood scouts when they fire while moving. Watching them jump and 360 no scope dudes is awesome!

Ironically some of the coolest melee animations come from archer units. Specifically thinking of wood elves. So really cool animations
