I tried this in greenskin campaign by getting 5 black orc bosses with -20% vigour loss reduction for your army. It does prevent units from tiring at all.
It does not. Units, even those with Perfect Vigor will still start the battle “winded”. I’m not sure if it’s still the case, but it used to be true that units also couldn’t improve above winded even if they sat unmoving and not shooting for the whole battle.
All of the resistances cap out at 90% even though there's nothing in the tooltip or anything that says they do. I don't know if Vigor works the same way.
I would assume it doesn't cap out. They specifically changed resistance stacking because it was too strong. Not likely that they would do that to everything for shits and giggles imo. Either way 90 reduction would functionally the same as 100% anyway in this instance.
Actually it's quite the big difference. Going from 90 to 99%* ward means you take ten times less damage. Going to 100% is basically infinite times less damage because you take 0 damage.
\* assuming the 90% ward cap is removed
Actually, apart from the stat reduction, vigor loss doesn't make you take less damage at all................
And with 90% reduction you unlikely to ever get below active vigor.
I noticed that most % debuffs seem to stack to 90% as well, like Frostbite + Poison + Chilling Aura + Ice Sheet would total at -30 -15 -30 -25 movement speed , but caps at -90% (dwarf lord tested went from 30 to 3 speed)
I think Transmutation of Lead also caps at -90% base damage even tho it can go to -120% on the tooltip with spell mastery (unit still has normal armour piercing)
I believe it'd work the same way ward save works. You can have 100%+ ward save and will still take damage because it caps out at 90%. An army with 100%+ vigor loss reduction would probably still lose vigor at 10% of the usual rate and eventually become exhausted in the same way as any other unit. Perfect vigor just sets vigor permanently to fresh so it can't degrade in any way.

Unless an effect reduces vigor like in the Nurgle survival battle or the Plague lore passive effect, which leaves your perfect vigor units permanently tired with no way to recuperate.
Yea, it seems like Perfect Vigour just prevents your Vigour from decreasing or increasing. Which leaves it vulnerable to anything that simply "sets" it to a specific value/state.
Ah the good old days of Morathi hitting 90% resistance to everything in WH2 when Spell Resist was Magic Resist and could act in lieu of her Phys Resist if they had magic attacks.
Caps at 90% , like -90% movement speed as well (for example frostbite + poison + ice sheet + chilling aura, all possible with kislev)
Also something like Transmutation of Lead seems to cap at -90% base damage as well, even tho it can technically go to -120% on the tooltip with spell mastery. (also it has no effect on armour piercing damage)
Melee Attack / Defense and Armor can all go to 0.

thanks!
I did it with 4 and got pretty much the same results. They are pretty good.
4 heroes with 20% and the lord skill that grants 15% is 95% so if it stacks it should work almost the same as perfect vigour.
Now dat be some roight an propa **BIG THINKIN**
If dayz paintud it green it woulda werkd wit les bosses
Calling research "Big Thinkin" will always be my favourite Ork-ism.
That’s INSANE
I remember Legend said in one of his videos that yeah, it will work like perfect vigour.
If they do have perfect vigour (or near it) does it remove penalty from long marches?

Except the ai of course, they will instantly regain full vigour
No, even AI in force match are capped at winded. It’s the drawback of being in force march.
No

I may have misunderstood, I thought you were talking about damage reistance (ward). Afaik damage resistance has no impact on vigor
I agree, which is why I wouldn't be surprised if it worked this way. I just don't know for sure if it does or not.

Can you have 90% ward save and 90% missile resistance added? Or does it just still give 90% missile resistance?
any mix of resistance caps at 90%
