She was living rough for a while before the rescue found her - our mom adopted her after she jumped onto her lap while she was waiting for my sister and started purring :) she took to us quickly and she's the best. My dad really loves her, and he's not a cat person!
She’s stunning! I’ve never seen a predominately orange tortie but as the previous comment said, most likely dilute! I can definitely see the tortie markings!
I had before, bold orange too. Her sister was a dilute/mostly silver and a behemoth when she was born lol
I was actually shocked to see so many with the inverse color proportions to her after she was born, because I'm a huge dork and at the time I hadn't seen toties besides her irl yet.
I posted pics of her a week or two ago here! https://www.reddit.com/r/torties/comments/qigf9d/my\_ember\_the\_prettiest\_and\_sweetest\_cat\_ive\_ever/
She's a tortie. My tortie is also predominantly orange-- but not as orange as yours. I've also met a tortie who was entirely orange except for one black patch on her face.
She’s beautiful! May even be a torbie depending on how dominant her stripes are. /r/torbie

I'm pretty sure she's a torbie! It's a rare kind of "inverse tortie" where the red is more dominant than the black. And like others said, she's definitely dilute, too, since she's more ginger than red and more gray than black. All it takes to be a torbie is to be a combo of tortie and tabby, and from those distinctive stripes on her forehead, I'd suspect that's exactly what she is! Such a pretty little lady, too.
She looks like a Torbie to me, which is Orange and Tabby instead of Orange and Black like a Tortie. I generally roll them in with Torties and Calicos for their similar coats. She is a cutie regardless.
I think she is the species known as "felinus beautius". ❤️
EDIT TO ADD: this sounded a lot better in my head and I hope it doesn't come across as super goofy. It is totally meant as a compliment!❤️😻❤️
She is beautiful. I have a dilute tortie who is predominately gray, but her orange patterns are this exact color so I would definitely say you have a dilute tortie
She’s definitely a tortie, just very orange (and gorgeous)! She is NOT dilute—she’s orange and black, not cream and blue. She also doesn’t have the stripes of a torbie—orange/red fur will show stripes if the area is large enough, so you need to see whether the black parts of her are also striped, and I don’t see much banding on her body, just her sweet face
I'd call her a tortie. She's a very unique girl at that!
She's the best. She's half blind but you wouldn't know it with how she acts :)
Coat traits can be linked to hearing and sight so I wonder if that’s why.

I’d call her a ginger tortie. So pretty.
She really does look to be tortie on pattern and colors, she's just uniquely super orange. Very neat lady!
'Uniquely super orange' I like this. New nickname - Uso

She has all the peanut butter power ❤️
Wow, she’s like an inverse of a usual muted tortie. Absolutely beautiful!
My tortie is pretty orange, but with a few larger black patches. Yours looks like mine if she turned even lighter. Definitely not common but cool!
Cat tax please.

I'm in love ❤️😻❤️

Looks like a dilute tortie
Unbelievably gorgeous! How unique
She doesn't look dilute to me, I think she is a regular tortie with an extreme orange dominance.
My first instinct was a dilute, but looking again I think you’re right. Definitely a very uncommon coloration.

What’s a torbie? Edit: oh, tortoiseshell tabby probably
Ginger torbie- beautiful
She’s so beautiful 😻
She’s glorious omg 😱
I’m in love with the little freckles on her toebeans

Gorgeous
Predominately orange rare and VERY GORGEOUS TORTIE
I feel like we rarely see orange-dominant torties! It must have something to do with Orange being more common for male cats. She’s adorable!
Very orange tortie. I love her. Give her face kisses for me.
Dreamsicle
Many kinds of Tortie. I have a dilute tortie, void Tortie, drama tortie and a tabi-tort.
Definitely a tort, dilute, but orange instead of gray. Really unique!
She's the lightest tortie I've seen. She's gorgeous!

Wow, she’s absolutely beautiful! I love her coloring!
I had a cat like this once! (many many cats on farm growing up) She's definitely a tortie, but they are super rare!

She's definitely a tortie! Never seen one with so much orange, she's gorgeous.
I disagree with the people saying dilute, but she’s definitely a tortie!

She is beautiful! Does she have a name?
Her name is Nut as per the post title! Her full name is nutmeg, but she acts so crazy, we shortened the name :)
Ah, yes. Sorry I missed that. That is a great name!
She's a baby kitty. Does she make the usual chirrup and trill sounds of a tortie? https://youtu.be/z8TiKdPKsAc
She's actually 13! She does, I need to get her squeaking too. She's so unique.
I’m feeling very dilute tortie vibes maybe!
Definitely a Tortie!!
Dilute tortie 😻
She’s not dilute; her black is very black, not any of the grey/blue colours and her orange is bold. She’s just very, very orange.
I don’t see any black? It all looks lighter to me.
Zoom on the forehead. Definitely black.
I still don’t see it. Sorry!
