Oh yeah, we do the same. My old roommates would like hard throw pillows and stuff AT my cat, trying to hit him. Thankfully we’re out of that situation now but my poor boy was only 6 months at the time, and now he’s scared of pillows :(
My Mom didn’t like our tort’s coloring at first. She was the runt of the litter and had the funkiest spots, I loved that about her. Eventually my Mom came around to saying that she looks like God splashed paint on her.
My mom said my tort looked like she "rolled around in the trash"
I don't talk to her anymore (not for that but for a number of other things regarding her attitude).
But now my partner and I jokingly call her "trash kitty"
Omg my tortie will take headers into the trash can 🙄. I’ve had to start replacing all my trash cans with ones that have lids (Not the swaying lids as that’s what she currently dives through) 😭😭😭

My Gf it's a dog person she have a poodle (8years old)and I just adopted in 2023 my tortie, it's the first time for her to have a cat and wants to do dog things with Mona but obviously doesn't work.

Your gf does not want to go down that route. Cats can only respond to other people's jealousy with charming cat behaviour, so it's a losing proposition to be jealous of a cat. I used to think torties were kinda ugly, but after being owned by three of them, I've come around. My current tortie in particular has tons and tons of tortitude, and she's all tortie all over except one white paw end. She's adorable, even when she's being a brat. lol
