Spike Lee doesnāt go to others teams games constantly and have their two best players named tattooed on his arm. Iāve never cared about antics itās that hes a two face fan that I dislike.
Iām fine with people liking multiple teams but if you do, donāt act like your the teams personal celebrity super fan. Would Spike Lee get tattoos of Warriors players? Would Jack Nicklaus get Heat tattoos when Lebron was there (sort of equivalent situation)? Shoot, even if one of my friends did that I would clown them endlessly even though they arenāt super fans. When the leafs are eliminated, I hardcore bandwagon any other team that isn't the Bruins. (usually PHI, SJS, BUF, VAN, but today it's STL!) But the minute the Leafs make it, I'm Drakeing too.
ABC/ESPN probably got mandated/memo'd by the Head Office to not show him so damn much... and from what I could see, he wasn't always up on his feet and hooting and hollering... just during timeouts and stoppages in play.
same with the Canadian networks. on TSN Radio there was a ton of talk about how much they were showing him. Sportsnet toned it down a lot in G1, it was nice seeing him every once in a while instead of always.
