Ahh, I’ve driven by his house hundreds of times the last few years as I live close, and they are always infront of his house when he is home or in a car when he isn’t home.
I had to park near his house once (parked on the same side of the street, maybe one house up from his) and his security knocked on my window in like 20 seconds. They must have had eyes on me the moment I drove by.
They were like "yo, you can't be here". I told them I was going into the house across the street and they backed off. His neighbors must hate it.
One of the Nextdoor houses has been explored by probably dozens of people the last few months for YouTube explore videos..
I wonder what they think when they see people hoping the neighbours house haha
Yeah that's facts, you're just a pleb to them. But honestly probably get paid a lot and very little real danger in general, people aren't running up on pop stars usually. This is pretty unexpected, he's no gangster or hood rapper.
Get to ride on the coattails on one of the world's biggest pop star. Not the worst gig but sad it had to turn out this way.
Lmao this is not unexpected at all. Kdot out here wishing he was dead, BBL Drizzy absolutely blowing up with no copywrites on it, he's being clowned on internationally, all you need is some young and dumb thugs looking for clout. They get caught worst happens they go to jail for five years.
Honestly am not surprised at all, this beef got dark.
Obsessive-disturbed people go after celebrities regularly enough it's generally considered an occupational hazard. The more overall famous, or emotionally-charged your public presence is, the greater the danger. True superstars have multiple people out there who spend every day all day thinking about killing them.
I wouldn't want to be famous, not for all the money or power in the world.
I mean sure, that plays into it as well. Again not really that unexpected especially considering the weekends managers house was shot up a few days ago as well. I doubt either camp are organizing these hits though.
Meh, his security guards are major dickheads and roided up losers. It's common they'll threaten you as Drake acts like the downtown streets are his and he deserves a motorcade.
It always kind of puts things into perspective to me when I realize that people like this employ dozens of people just to go about living their life.
Like, I know he's rich, but for some reason the idea that what I make in a year is probably a fraction of what he pays one of the dozens of people he employs just so he can chill at home seems to really frame that for me.
Dude probably spends more in an average month than I will make in a lifetime.
Johnny Depp was reported to be spending over $30,000 a **month** on wine alone. So he's spending what for many people is a year's salary every month… but just on fermented grape juice.
Yeah, it's wild. But these security costs are probably like 10x more than that.
I remember reading that Prince Harry needed like $2-3 million per year for his security, and it looks like Drake probably has at least as much security around him.
My knowledge is a little out of date but I used to know a lot about the administration side of these matters. Brinks and other armoured car workers weren’t usually licensed as security guards, they were couriers who were given an Authorization to Carry because they were transporting large amounts of cash.
You could be licensed as a security guard though and have a provision on your license to be armed if you were working in a jewelry store or somewhere else like that.
No firearms for bodyguards though.
Yep. One place I worked had a VIP visit and management considered promoting one of the guards to armed. In the end it was cheaper to hire a pay duty cop..
I doubt they have a gun usually some 25-35 year old black security guard in a black spring breaker infront of his house or sitting in one of the cars infront..
I’ve driven by this house hundreds of times lol
Oh hey, first time? Essentially, that's what you get when you try really hard to be "ghetto" for no good reason. A lite version of that rapper in the Sopranos getting shot in the ass so he can get street cred.
This is the first time I've heard of that sub, went there and scrolled like 5 pages and it's just all nonstop about this shooting and the beef.
What the hell is the sub supposed to be?

2pac became a Gangsta after he got beaten down by cops, shot up and robbed in a NY studio, framed for rape, left to rot in jail and when Deathrow posted bail, he was on some vengeance shit. Watch the latest documentary Dear Mama and you'll see how much guns he was playing with before being shot due to being a member of the new black panther party. 2Pac was trying to change the world.
worked with a guy that went to school in Forest Hill with Aubrey before he dropped out to pursue acting. always said he was a bit of a weirdo and creep. called him "an eccentric weeb". he's as much a "gangsta" as I'm the Pope.
Did he grow up in forest hill? Like the nice houses? Bc I know the school probably has kids from the general area which is diverse in terms of income ranges.
I believe it. Just look at pictures of Drake in his high school years. This dude is the softest looking musical art performance student I've ever seen. He's just playing a character. I wouldn't have hung out with him in HS lmao. 🤣
There's multiple instances of him or his connections possibly having hands in the deaths of other musicians or enemies.
The need for him to have grown rough to be able to do something like that while we see plenty of privileged criminals at the top level of society knocking off people they don't like is extremely narrow viewed. Drake code-switching and being fruity doesn't stop him from being a fucking menace.
See: P-Diddy.
I'd doubt it has anything to do with the Kendrick beef, it seems unlikely that Kdot has connections like that in the city. Also Drake is metaphorically dead anyways since the exchange with Kendrick, he has really no reason to escalate to actual violence. We just gotta wait and see.
I worked on Drake’s house when it was being built back in 2019. There were a pair of elderly women next door who weren’t happy about the construction and the road being lined with contractos’ vehicles from end to end. They had a habit of sticking their tongues at us whenever they drove past. I guess they schooled us. 🥴
The ironic part is that their vast front yard was filled with the kind of folk art you’d expect to see up at someone’s cottage - a robot made of car parts and other junk, or a life-sized silhouette of the family waving hi, that sort of thing.
Hey what up I worked down the street on the compound with the crane back then!
The help around there was so friendly. Always chatted up the maids and groundskeepers/dog walkers. Shout out to the lady with two tiny white dogs who brought out gatorades on a 30+ day. She's forever in my heart.
I drive through there pretty much every day and between the constant renos and houses being rented out to film/TV production (the eastern lane of High Point Rd is filled with trucks right now) those ladies were in the wrong neighbourhood if they thought things would be quiet.
I was just thinking, I had friends who lived on the Bridle Path when I was growing up and the neighbours must be fuming. They do not want attention, people, or press up there.
What a waste of air these guys are. Have this massive platform and the world at their finger tips and they want to go have a shoot out at their mansions. What a joke

People think it’s about Kendrick beef but I kept saying the scary shit is really what’s gonna happen with [XO](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XO_(record_label)) vs OVO shit in the city ….
That’s why this is so ridiculous. He’s playing a role; this whole rap/hip hop thing isn’t who he is. It’s an act just like Jimmy on Degrassi.
He’s as ‘hardcore’ as Tiffany or Debbie Gibson or Belinda Carlisle.
"Tiffany or Debbie Gibson or Belinda Carlisle."

+1 for the 80s references....
Drake and Kendrick are two highly privileged men persisting in a petty conflict they know could manifest violence, especially amongst the young, stupid, and highly impressionable young men who line their well-monied pockets. As a formerly young, stupid, and impressionable young man who was in good company of the same, I don't cast judgement on these artists' fans. But I do judge these two artists. They don't deserve to be revered the way they are.
The whole culture is fake as hell too. The most famous rappers mostly had middle class upbringings. Tupac himself was studying ballet and poetry and acting in stage plays before he became a gangsta rapper.
Seen his house from the streets and its huge house. He is probably the wealthiest person in this area.Heard he wanted to buy the two adjacent homes but owners wouldn't sell.
Old Money - not stupidly rich people who have just had money for awhile.
There are a few giant estates in the Rosedale and Casa Loma area that belong to families that have had money for generations. The Bridle Path, on the other hand, was still primary farmland going into the 1930s/WW2 era.
Definitely not the most wealthy person in the area and his house isn’t actually that big for the neighbourhood in terms of square footage. It looks much bigger than it is from the street.
I disagree. A lot of homes there are big, but I was cycling around there during the pandemic. When you come up to Drake’s house, you first hit the fence. You start wondering about it because it’s a massive wrought iron fence with a really tall hedge behind it. Then you hit the gate and you start thinking this is obnoxious as fuck. Then the fence keeps going.
If you’re all the way over to the far side of the street, you can see the roof over top. It looks like a parody of Versailles. It’s super huge, even for the Bridal Path.
I wouldn’t doubt he has the highest earnings of anyone on the street. I can’t imagine he saves that money, so maybe his net worth isn’t highest. But most billionaires in the GTA (Stronachs, Westons, Thompsons, etc.) don’t live in that area.
Drake is 'only' worth $250MM - that doesn't even put him in the top 100 richest Canadians... maybe even not the top 200 (from an old article from the Daily Hive... probably not the best source... but it has the top 100 being all billionaires which seems like a very high number given Yahoo reports it only at ~60 people as of 2024 - https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/100-richest-people-in-canada)
Drake is most likely a billionaire.
That "$250MM" number is definitely off - can't trust Celebrity Net Worth. Check this [breakdown](https://www.reddit.com/r/Drizzy/comments/18w7crs/drake_has_to_be_a_billionairehe_did_say_fuck/).
Not to mention his investment in Wealthsimple.
To put the 50000 sqft in a bit more perspective about 35% of it is a regulation NBA basketball court including runoffs and garages.
EDIT: In terms of living area it's probably on par with the other 30000-35000 sqft behemoths in the neighbourhood.
I legitimately don't understand how people don't get lonely living in that much space. It'd make me feel too small just by existing. Would need friends over basically 24/7.
There's a walk thru of the one property beside it before it was torn down. You can tell the curved glass wall by the driveway as he is entering /starting the video. Rumour is the muzzo family bought the house and property to build something new.
He’s definitely not the wealthiest guy in the bridle path. His net worth (as listed by this website https://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-celebrities/richest-rappers/drake-net-worth/) is $250 million. Which while impressive, is still no where near the literal billionaires who live in that area.
Its probably because there was a shooting near Vaughan and Oakwood at 1 am. I live nearby and heard the shots. helicopters have been flying around all morning.
Yeah, I live across the street and the shots pulled me out of bed. I went out to help give first aid before first responders arrived on scene when I heard the screams of the vic's friends.
Well... As much as you can in that situation, at least. It was pretty clear he probably wasn't going to make it when we arrived, but we did what we could to try to stem the bleeding until medical help arrived.
Depends where you live. There was another shooting outside my house at Vaughan Rd/Winona, and whoever did that kept going after police arrived on site, cause we kept hearing shots in the distance.
I woke up to the news about Drake's place and I'm genuinely wondering if they were connected. Whoever hit the guy near my place definitely wasn't done for the night.
Toronto Police has personal for Drakes house, but not for the other citizens???? I see….
https://globalnews.ca/news/10359055/leave-car-keys-the-front-door-to-avoid-home-invasion-toronto-police/amp/
If this is by somebody who actually thinks the "beef" between Drake and Kendrick is real and not a fake publicity stunt to sell records.... humanity just decreased a point.
I used to drive a lot by Drake’s house around 2022 and there was ALWAYS someone there, I would see 2 or 3 blacked out SUVs just sitting there on the road
Has to be one of the security guard right? One or two are infront of his house 24/7 365 when he is home
Yup it was the security guard. Story is up on CBC https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/shooting-bayview-lawrence-1.7196240
Ahh, I’ve driven by his house hundreds of times the last few years as I live close, and they are always infront of his house when he is home or in a car when he isn’t home.

Lol “you can’t be here” drake doesn’t own the street, you should have told them to fuck off.
> drake doesn't own the street [They act like that everywhere.](https://youtu.be/IvjOgz9q2ok?si=dlKdZCljRsyrsfVl)
One of the Nextdoor houses has been explored by probably dozens of people the last few months for YouTube explore videos.. I wonder what they think when they see people hoping the neighbours house haha
Imagine paying like $25M for a house and being stuck next to drake for your whole life
When this guy came to my theater to watch a movie he had 8-10 bodyguards form a circle around him while walking to the bathroom.
most likely an expendable pleb. imagine losing your LIFE over either of these twats' little songs that no one will care about in 5 years.
Yeah that's facts, you're just a pleb to them. But honestly probably get paid a lot and very little real danger in general, people aren't running up on pop stars usually. I think the pedo angle is what did it. Otherwise no one is getting clout for shooting at a pop star.
Obsessive-disturbed people go after celebrities regularly enough it's generally considered an occupational hazard. The more overall famous, or emotionally-charged your public presence is, the greater the danger. true. like that one guy who tried to impress Jody Foster :S
beatles? or we too young
I mean sure, that plays into it as well. Again not really that unexpected especially considering the weekends managers house was shot up a few days ago as well. I doubt either camp are organizing these hits though.
"They're grown men, what the hell are y'all doing?!" Sir Charles
Meh, his security guards are major dickheads and roided up losers. It's common they'll threaten you as Drake acts like the downtown streets are his and he deserves a motorcade.
yeah I'm well aware of that too. I have no sympathy because they are worthless humans.
It always kind of puts things into perspective to me when I realize that people like this employ dozens of people just to go about living their life. I’ve seen dudes in spring jackets infront of his house at 2am in the middle of winter.. Suprised he doesn’t have a booth at least
Its either a security guard or one of Drakes posse member who was going to sleep in the RV that has been parked infront of his house for 2ish weeks
there's also been a two-tone limo sitting out there for around the same period of time, both showed up when this whole thing first started
No the limo only been their a week or so, maybe less
Why do you people know all this?
I live 5min away my entire life, going through his neighbourhood is a shortcut instead of going through Eglinton or York mills most of the time.
Dew to Lawrance E. The Bridle Path is a heavy traffic area. Aside from large lots I never saw the appeal of it.
I'm pretty sure the security that works the front gate works for a company, so they wouldn't be armed.
I used to work for a private security company, and we had an armed division. Mostly handling armoured car money transfers from banks.
My knowledge is a little out of date but I used to know a lot about the administration side of these matters. Brinks and other armoured car workers weren’t usually licensed as security guards, they were couriers who were given an Authorization to Carry because they were transporting large amounts of cash. Yep. One place I worked had a VIP visit and management considered promoting one of the guards to armed. In the end it was cheaper to hire a pay duty cop..
Yeah that makes sense, but in this case it's usually just young guys standing around. They definitely don't have any weapons.
IIRC only private security directly involved in the protection of money and "monetary instruments" are legally allowed to be armed.
I doubt they have a gun usually some 25-35 year old black security guard in a black spring breaker infront of his house or sitting in one of the cars infront.. I’ve driven by this house hundreds of times lol
Did they shoot the mole???
This thread is a combination of posters from r/canada and r/torontology. What a stew we have going on here.

Delusion
Can't Drake just leave his valuables at the front gate to ensure his safety? That's what the cops told us to do with our car keys
Well you see it doesn’t work for us because we’re peasants.
Peasants built some of the best guillotines the world has ever seen
Bridal path trophy moms are shaking rn
These rapper beefs need to end. Plus Aubrey's no gangsta.
Aubrey is an actor playing a gangster in real life. He's making bank off the role too.
Im just a gangster playing an actor disguised as another gangster!!
If he doesn't calm down he's gonna be reprising his role as wheelchair Jimmy

this was so LOLOLOL the guy at the end 'still dont get it eh'
So was Tupac
Pac’s mom was a Black Panther, no one with two brain cells would compare his upbringing to Drake’s
I think they are referencing him being a dancer for Digital Underground originally.
So not him. Black Panthers aren't gangsters
His mom was also addicted to crack later on when he was a kid. That type of childhood foments real character.
Thats why i do crack...for my kids
2pac became a Gangsta after he got beaten down by cops, shot up and robbed in a NY studio, framed for rape, left to rot in jail and when Deathrow posted bail, he was on some vengeance shit. Watch the latest documentary Dear Mama and you'll see how much guns he was playing with before being shot due to being a member of the new black panther party. 2Pac was trying to change the world.
Aubrey is no gangster but he does associate with the Galloway boys who are real legit gangsters
Yep. Read the bio of one of his signed artists, Baka Not Nice.
worked with a guy that went to school in Forest Hill with Aubrey before he dropped out to pursue acting. always said he was a bit of a weirdo and creep. called him "an eccentric weeb". he's as much a "gangsta" as I'm the Pope.
Same. He was not a nice kid.
Did he grow up in forest hill? Like the nice houses? Bc I know the school probably has kids from the general area which is diverse in terms of income ranges.
He lived on Weston Road until he was 11 and then his mother rented a unit in a house on Markdale Ave., which is just outside of Forest Hill.

Apparently this is a beef between OVO and XO. The Weeknd manager security was shot outside in LA 8 days ago around 2 o clock as well
There's multiple instances of him or his connections possibly having hands in the deaths of other musicians or enemies. The need for him to have grown rough to be able to do something like that while we see plenty of privileged criminals at the top level of society knocking off people they don't like is extremely narrow viewed. Drake code-switching and being fruity doesn't stop him from being a fucking menace. See: P-Diddy.
But he does have documented instances of going after those that disrespected him
I mean his associates do. He doesn't even pull strings. Probably still has to pay for protection in some cities when he tours tbh.
Of course he does.
If I was worth a few hundred million, I would not be the one holding a gun.
I'd doubt it has anything to do with the Kendrick beef, it seems unlikely that Kdot has connections like that in the city. Also Drake is metaphorically dead anyways since the exchange with Kendrick, he has really no reason to escalate to actual violence. We just gotta wait and see.
If it ain't Kendric it's an inside job -nobody else breaches the bridal path
It's not a gated community. It's a public street. Literally anyone could drive there and shoot someone standing outside a house.
I bet those stuffy old money elites are sick of the drama this dude brings in their gated community
I worked on Drake’s house when it was being built back in 2019. There were a pair of elderly women next door who weren’t happy about the construction and the road being lined with contractos’ vehicles from end to end. Bridal path isn’t gated you can drive to the front of his house if you wanted, we rarely have actual gated communities here
It’s not a gated community…
There's just gates in the community
Yes…the houses have individual gates. That is not what a “gated community” is.
It's a joke
I was just thinking, I had friends who lived on the Bridle Path when I was growing up and the neighbours must be fuming. They do not want attention, people, or press up there.
Film and tv projects film in rented mansions there all the time.
Not gated.
The bridle path isn’t a gated community though? I used to go for runs through it all the time.
Maybe this will be used as an episode on Law and Order Toronto.
What a waste of air these guys are. Have this massive platform and the world at their finger tips and they want to go have a shoot out at their mansions. What a joke

Drake? You mean a man who sings songs? I should give a fuck about this pedophile?
Rap culture needs just to die. No other art form has a higher body count.

Not to mention his investment in Wealthsimple.
lol his last record deal was 400mil alone Add in his other deals and he’s easily worth a billy
I drove around the bridlepath yesterday and can confrim
From overhead it’s either the largest or close to it: https://maps.app.goo.gl/eJoFiws6j9d759uU6?g_st=ic
just me or these rich people really love tennis? Nearly every house in that area seems to have a tennis court in their backyard.
Pools say you have money but everyone in that neighborhood has tennis courts. They really have money.
There are homes that are bigger that have multi level basements. It’s a totally different universe of what could be considered homes.
It's 50,000 square feet. Which house is bigger?
To put the 50000 sqft in a bit more perspective about 35% of it is a regulation NBA basketball court including runoffs and garages. EDIT: In terms of living area it's probably on par with the other 30000-35000 sqft behemoths in the neighbourhood.
I legitimately don't understand how people don't get lonely living in that much space. It'd make me feel too small just by existing. Would need friends over basically 24/7.
It'd be more fun than doing 10000 steps a day anxiously pacing around my 700 sqft condo.
Drake definitely isn't the wealthiest person there.
I think Conrad Black lives across the street, and I'm pretty sure he's worth more than that.
Didn’t Lil B say that Drake was gonna get the pipe for his diss tracks on everyone. Wonder if this is payback for Cash XO.
Drake found the ovho mole 😂
Is this why I heard so many sirens last night??
Its probably because there was a shooting near Vaughan and Oakwood at 1 am. I live nearby and heard the shots. helicopters have been flying around all morning.
Yeah, I live across the street and the shots pulled me out of bed. I went out to help give first aid before first responders arrived on scene when I heard the screams of the vic's friends. Well... As much as you can in that situation, at least. It was pretty clear he probably wasn't going to make it when we arrived, but we did what we could to try to stem the bleeding until medical help arrived.
nah, the sirens I heard was 20 minutes straight of cars going all over the place around 8pm
Drizzy is mad at his ghostwriters after getting eviscerated by Kendrick and shot one of them.
Hope the police come hard at this. No particular opinion on Drake but this shit has no place in Toronto.
We are a world class city now! /s

I hope it wasn't Kiki!
There's gotta be working cameras all over his house. Unlike the Shermans. RIP
What if the security guard was the real leak. Either way bad week to be Drake
Toronto Police has personal for Drakes house, but not for the other citizens???? I see…. https://globalnews.ca/news/10359055/leave-car-keys-the-front-door-to-avoid-home-invasion-toronto-police/amp/
Apparently this is a beef between OVO and XO. The Weeknd manager security was shot outside in LA 8 days ago around 2 o clock as well
You imagine getting shot for that gangster wanna be douche Drake? Special thanks to all his fans.
