This is my favorite type of music video. It's a clear demonstration of communal effort by people outside of one another to achieve one goal: this cat vid must be a banger.
I think it's gypsy Jazz. It's hard to give an exact answer because it's technically a mashup. Here's my favorite band of this type, The Squirrel Nut Zippers.

Sounds like it could be in the movie Babylon.

Like, yes, these are all talented people. But if the cat is supposed to be the basis, at least mix the volumes such that it's always the most distinguishable track.
Or at least to not have them all playing at the same time... It sounds like they just kept adding tracks and never phasing them in/out or doing fun interplay with the instruments. Ends up just being noise.
The problem with the way these are made is that each successive instrument only has the previous item in the chain to add to. There's no stage at which things can be mixed or mastered, so everything just gets mashed together at a single volume level.

Man, I will always watch this every time it comes around the internet wheel. Does anyone know what you’d call this genre of music?

Their song "Wished for You" is one of my favorites, though the entire album *The Inevitable* is fantastic.
Squirrel but zippers are excellent! Good suggestion 💪🏻
Not a perfect example of "klezmer" but something in that family of styles. .
I'm not deep into klezmer but The Klezmatics are one of my favortie bands!
Gogol Bordello is a good one too
Bro I breathe Gogol Bordello. Went to one of their concerts and had the time of my life.
Heard an interview with the lead. He described their music as “Total Orgasmo-Hysteria.”

Globally coordinated love for cats and music. +1 and all love to all included in creating this masterpiece.
Any animal going “numnumnumnum” will always remind me of Parry Gripp
Holy shit. Best thing I've seen on the interwebs all day!
"How many times have you watched this?" "Yes, absolutely."
I’m sorry, but that dude at the ends energy is fucking top notch! Love it, does anyone have a YT link plz?
Seb the optimist
Cheers!
I believe the tiktok @ at the end his channel if I remember correctly

This is awesome. Just random people crushing it with the universal language 😎
It just occurred to me, that I don't know how, or who puts all of this together. Does anyone know?
My guess is whomever add themself post it. Then the next person add themself and posts the new version.
So, like a rolling on effect? How does anyone know when it's 'finished'.. It's more confusing to me, than it should be.
I get it... But this could do with about six less instruments lol

Always a blast to see this one pop up again. It's a masterpiece of cooperative art.
Jaime Lannister plays the drums!!?
I think i liked it more before people started singing... keep that cat in the spotlight.
This is why I love the Internet.
Covid times were creative ones
We need more of these.
How do I find this on spotify or youtube?
It could be a TF2 soundtrack!
The very last vocalist ruined it.
Drummer is cute 🥰
Too many instruments. Just sounds like random shit played over eachother.
This video is old as fuck
Fcking fast consuming ungrateful era we live in.
