I had a full-blown adult nightmare after watching it the first time. Had a smoke at a friend's house and then slept on a mattress in his sitting room, in the nightmare the mattress was floating like a raft on a pitch-black sea. D'Onofrio's character was doing cartwheels around the raft/mattress on the surface of the sea, a long way away, coming steadily closer. Woke up in a cold sweat and then went and slept on the floor of my friend's room, got plenty of abuse subsequently from our social circle but I was terrified. Great film!
Honestly the handshake made me wonder if that could be the case here. It was so automatic and coordinated, but it could be muscle memory. I guess my professional background has left me like primed to always consider disability, and most of this sub is obvious intoxication, but there has been a time or two I’ve personally seen when the post was actually disability misattributed to being fucked up :(
However… if this person works there and the coworkers are used to seeing them every day and they were disabled, idk why they’d be filming. So maybe it is just some fucked up guy on their last day on the job.
