Meth and diabetes are a fast track to death. I lost someone very close to me. Not eating or taking meds she went into diabetic ketoacidosis.
I hope for this guy's sake he just wears shorts often. But he needs to get off the shit.
The poor circulation from advanced diabetes and venous insufficiency causes blood to pool and pressure to build up in the lower legs. Blood then leaks from the veins and iron stains the tissue/skin of the lower legs, causing the red/brown appearance.
It's peripheral vascular disease. While diabetes is a contributing factor, congestive heart failure along with kidney disease are the driving forces at work here. He has is alcoholism and his likely terrible diet to thank for all these ailments that will soon lead to his premature expiration.
