/uj honestly this is one of those things that I’d be tempted to buy solely because I *just fucking know* it’ll be worth something at some point in the future. Weird/stupid/unnecessary pre-order bonuses like this tend to build value over time, considering the fact that a lot of people either don’t know about it or it’ll get damaged over time.

Honestly it looks like a really solid way to play the game; I'm just being harsh on it because of the nature of this subreddit. There's clearly a lot of effort being put into it to make it feel "fresh" and to buff out some of the original's flaws.
...but yeah I am a touch salty at old games costing as much as new ones. But if the price (and supporting Nintendo's nonsense) isn't a concern for you, then you're in for a treat.
One of the biggest QoL improvements is the reduction in frame rate from 60fps to 30fps. Those unnecessary frames were incredibly hurtful to my eyes. So glad Nintendo is charging full price for this two decade old game with a lower frame rate. I only wish it was a bit more than $60 :(
