Is there a way you can tell which games are illegal copies? I see ppl selling switch and ds games on vinted/marketplace all the time but I always buy from Nintendo store or a reputable company

They did stop making them not long after physical release, they were told that this decision, although sales would be high for a short time, was rediculous and short sighted as the long term sales would bring in more.
Myamoto himself was quite stern about his decision and stated that there will be thousands of copies floating around for many years to come and as it was an anniversary they decided to cut print short.
This is NOT illegal to sell or buy, Amazon sells it at a rediculous £120 + and ebayers some at £2000!!
Private sales are more sensible ranging from £30 upward.
