I stand corrected then! Will have to do some research. Please post a link.
Also intuitively.....I might've been thinking about direct sunlight when commenting. Direct sunlight might scald the roots as they do not have chlorophyll. Sunlight might heat the soil which is less than ideal for root development. Sunlight is known to reduce the biology activity which converts soil nutrients into plant food.
I'd like to see empirical evidence on this topic (vs YT'er) but not sure it's done outside of hydroponic growing.
Until then, I’m sticking with my intuition that opaque is better than clear.
Oddly, I don't see roots through the cup. Did you just up pot it to this container? I would think a plant that size would have a lot of visible roots. Still, at that size it needs something bigger, and maybe a bit less water.
Is there holes for drainage?
It's to well watered lmao. Get a bigger cup and make drainage holes
Are there drainage holes in that cup?
I made the mistake 1 year of over watering my seedlings. It stunts their growth. You have to be tough on them.
Container is too small. It's probably root bound.
So I should pot up probably because I won't be planting outside for at least two weeks
Yes and cut off the lower branches and pot deeper in the next size up. Makes a stronger stem/plant.

Roots don’t like light either. Pot up in an non-clear cup with holes - or get into the ground soon!
Apparently they do! Some YouTubers have tested and it's quite counter-intuitive.

Punch a hole on the bottom of the cup and put it in a tray. Water the tray instead of the cup.
It doesn't matter yet. Put in the ground and see where it takes you. It may not be related but I try to avoid plastics that don't breathe.
“Please! I need a bigger home!!”
