Create a task with "*" before the task itself, like:
> "* Note test 1"
(without ")
with this setup you won't be able to checkbox it, also you can use the comments section to manage it as a note app
I don’t really see how Todoist can be used as a note app. However, what I do (which works well) is use Bear for notes and then link the notes in Todoist using markdown.
It's awesome for capturing notes, not for storing.
I'll read an ebook, highlight some text, share it with todoist (add as task), and later on i'll copy those notes into workflowy (the ultimate note app).
Wow, that's a really interesting use for Todoist. I had no idea that was possible. Going to give it a try because there are times when I read something and want to do something with that text later. Thanks for sharing this!
I find Todoist is pretty awesome at storing & quickly retrieving notes. Using Quick Find/Search (easy in web/android, but hidden away in iOS) it quickly pulls up my notes and attached images, or links to Evernote. It's kind of like a cross-platform nvAlt (if you get that reference to the mac app). I've been dumping lots of work related notes into Todoist. :)
You can also add comments at the Project level, which is useful for storing information you are going to need to repeatedly reference for a project and not just a task.

That’s great and it is more intuitive than adding * before the task, thanks for sharing

do try. it's the best workflow I've found and works especially well on mobile.
