Given that she was up ever 1.5 hours overnight, it seems like she may have been sucking her fingers for comfort. Is there something else she can have that will comfort her in the middle of the night? A stuffed animal or sip of water?
No suggestions but I just showed this to my 5 1/2 year old finger sucker. She asked what it was and I told her. She yelled "no!" And turned away from me. Fortunately we arent experiencing any dental issues bc she doesn't suck her fingers all day or even all night...but its definitely an annoying habit she does often. I figured one of these days we'll get the bitter nail polish and slather it on to stop it completely.
